Fur-Eh! 2012
Posted 14 years ago"Many changes have been made to Fur-Eh! 2012 since the last announcement several months ago.
The most significant change has been the venue. Due to spiralling costs at the Fantasyland Hotel and West Edmonton Mall's reluctance to make concessions regarding fruiting in the mall, we have had no choice but to pull out and switch venues. After significant research and discussion with venues, the West Edmonton Hilton has been selected for Fur-Eh! 2012. This venue is located 11 blocks north of West Edmonton Mall, allowing ready access to those who are interested in visiting the mall.
In addition, registration costs have lowered, with a base membership costing $40. Sponsor memberships remain $80 and include a t-shirt and early admittance to the dealer's den and Patron memberships remain $160 and include t-shirt, early admittance to the dealer's den, and a complimentary ticket to the Guest of Honour dinner. We have negotiated a room rate of $129 per night at the West Edmonton Hilton. Mention the event to receive this discount. It is available from Thursday, May 3 to Sunday, May 6, for those interested in arriving a day early and staying an extra day.
We have made updating the web site at http://www.fureh.ca with appropriate graphics a priority but while that is ongoing, registration has been opened and is accessible at http://register.fureh.ca.
We are working hard to make this event a success, with over $2,800 already invested in business licenses, incorporation, and placing the deposit on the venue. If you are interested in attending, I would strongly request that you register as soon as possible. We are trying to gauge interest beyond what has been said here, and registrations are what will make or break this convention.
I need to work on a list of roles and people to lead those roles in the coming weeks. There is much work that needs to be done, including programming, logistics, and miscellaneous roles. This will be addressed in a future post.

Upgrade comming soon!
Posted 14 years agoAF is getting an upgrade to the new VBulletin! Thanks for all of the donations last year, we were able to afford the new license for the software. This upgrade will include some neat new mods like: RSVP system for events, an upgraded calender, a new look, possible new chatbox with more features, and many more.
We look forward to many years with our supportive community that continues to help build us up!

Requirements are as follows:
(Feel free to do this in any order or submit each one individually if you do not wish to do all.)
Character: Big Horned Sheep

7 different poses of the character, visually describing each section of the forum it poses for
*Maximum recommended image size is 40x40 pixels.*

We are now in need of some more user "Ranks" much like the "forum regular" titles etc. Some of our users are very close to hitting the highest rank so we either have to increase the time it takes to reach a certain rank or create more ranks!
