Hey everyone. You're probably wondering why I haven't been giving updates on My New Years drawing this year. Some of you may even be wondering if I decided to cancel this year. To answer the first question, I have not started on it yet.

My family has a tradition of going on vacation once a year. Usually, we go in the summer. But since my brother's wedding severely disrupted our summer plans, my family decided to move the vacation to the middle of November. It has taken me a while to get back into the swing of things. And even as I'm writing this, I haven't done much regarding TF art.

As for the events of this month, my family tends to get very festive on Christmas. They like to take turns hosting parties, so my attention has been scattered all over the place. Not only that, but to save money, I promised my family a group portrait as a Christmas gift, so art wise, I'm busy with that

As for whether or not I'm still planning on making a New Year 25 drawing, the answer is yes. However, there are two downsides. First, the group size will be smaller. I estimate 12-20 mutuals. I haven't seen any new notable faces in the community, so pretty much all of this year's guests will have been in the previous edition as well. The other major downside is that because of my busy schedule, for the first time in the history of me doing these, the drawing will not be ready until AFTER New Years. I usually start one of these at the start of December, and it usually takes me about ~3.5 weeks to finish. But hopefully, with cutting down the group size, it won't take as long for me to finish it this time around.

So basically, yes, The New Year drawing is happening, but it will be late, and it will be smaller than usual. Thank you for understanding

I want to make sure I am making the best art I can make. I want to grow, not just in audience size, but also in quality. So please, if you can think of anything I need to improve on art wise, I wanna know

Alright, so today, Id like to give you a heads up on this upcoming New Years project, Ik I haven't done this before, but I figured this time Id share.

So this year, the theme will be "Where TF is everyone?". Basically, everyone would head to this party, but no one knows which venue they're going to. So small groups of TF artists will be at separate venues wondering what happened to everyone else.

The reason I chose this theme is because frankly, it feels like the community is dying. Im not certain it is, but Ive had this feeling since summer that fewer and fewer people are engaging in the community. One good example of this is how I decide who is featured in these projects. Basically, I choose artists I look up to as well as friends who also draw in the community. The first edition had 30 artists. The second had 34. The third had 38. The fourth had 32. This year, I could only find 23 artists to feature.

Hey, I have had a pretty big art block this last month, and I figured its finally time to ask for help

Im asking this on DeviantArt, Furaffinity, Twitter, and my Discord server.

I want you all to comment something you would like to see me draw. Ill be choosing one suggestion from each of the websites listed above to make into actual drawings. Since I doubt many of you will actually read this, You have a decently good chance of having my favorite idea

I'll be honest. I am tired of this. Websites that have art communities have been making policies that have been driving said artists off to different sites. Twitter shadowbanning artists, DeviantArt and Pixiv embracing AI, and now FurAffinity forcing artists to walk on eggshells to avoid being banned. This isn't going to stop. Every website we go to is going to have problems that will drive the community to more and more obscure websites. Making us essentially disappear from the internet. I am not going to just run from website to website, hoping one sticks. I am not leaving any of the websites I use to share my art. And if these sites want me gone, They'll have to drag me out kicking and screaming

TL:DR Even though I hate these new policies, I'm not going anywhere unless they force me out

On August 31, 2017, I joined DeviantArt. Truly beginning my social media career. A lot has changed since then. When I joined, I was just starting my freshman year of high school. I made a lot of great friends, I lost some others, and my capabilities as an artist began to grow and grow. Now Im out of high school. I have a job, and Im now a legal adult. I honestly dont know what I would do without you guys. Id definetely be a lot more lonely, wouldnt I?
