I'm pretty mobile-focused when uploading a lot of the time and since FA doesn't have an app nor is it fairly phone-friendly for me, I keep getting scrambled and forget to upload here.

I've been having a lot of trouble lately. Moving. Mental health very bad. Finances terrible. My cat continues to be sick.
It's been a lot and I've lost touch with a lot of people and dropped a lot in my life.
I'm sorry if I've upset anyone or ignored anyone.
I'm hoping soon to be able to get back on track. I'm not out of 'the woods' yet. There's a lot left to sort out.
But I'm.. getting there. And trying to return regardless.
I really love drawing. And sharing experiences with you all.
I'll be trying to catch up on submissions and messages etc <3

For the basic rundown as to why; I've moved and am currently not working due to personal and medical circumstances and the welfare payments in my country are below the poverty line. So to keep interest up and maybe from time to time to supplement sudden expenses I'll be running Sales and Promotions alongside my regular Commissions!
So a lot is going on! I'm saving as much as I can and have some support, but I can't 100% trust my income to be enough, and I would rather earn my money than simply ask for donations or borrow money I probably won't be able to return.

I've been a bit vacant here as of late, which I apologise for! Especially given all of my new watchers, whom I appreciate so so much!
I'm still without internet... which is a pain. Though our issues with our previous provider has been resolved now, so last week I requested service from a new provider! According to them, our connection should be active between 12 and 20 days, so fingers crossed!
Despite that, I'm still going to try and get some new art uploaded, as well as some new auctions (I'm bursting with ideas!).
If you do need or want to get into contact with me, the best way is honestly via e-mail.

So spotty internet access has meant that I haven't been able to post reminders for the auctions. Again, they've gotten little to no traffic. The single has had no bids, so I plan to extend that one or withdraw it. The threesome special only has bids on one slot. I am unsure about what to do about this one. I could extend this auction too, accept the highest bid for the one slot that has been bid on and extend the time for the other slot or fill the unbid slot myself. Extending the auciton seems the... fairest? Otherwise I'd be asking for payment on one slot well before the second slot, and would not be starting the image until the second slot is filled which seems... very unfair?
I'd like feedback on this? I've already had to redo these auctions once and I don't want to annoy current or potential bidders?

Personal Update: Moved, Auctions & Commissions
Posted 9 years agoSo I've been in the new house for almost two weeks now.
I'm really happy with the area. We're so close to the city, which means being close to lots of things to do and places to meet people. We're close to a couple train stations and bus stops. Also close to lots of shops and services (though a bit further away form my job provider as I would have liked, but the walking will do me good!). We're getting along really well with our housemate and his dog, Sam, and we've got one of our cats with us. One of the biggest issues is though, that we still don't have internet. Right now I'm having to use my phone as a hotspot, and I've already gone over my data allowance for the month in a matter of days. Hopefull;y the internet issue will be sorted soon, but I honestly greatly doubt it will be.
Downsides are that there's been and going to be a fair bit of maintenance to the house. Nothing major, and nothing out of our pockets, but it's a pain all the same. Electrical, plumbing and little bits here and there like the grill and window locks. I'm also probably going to have to be paying more rent than planned until my mate's payments are sorted out in a week or so, and even then they're barely going to have enough to get by on. I'll probably have to pay for the bulk of their food, but hopefully they can at least pay for their own travel to and from campus. It's all a bit... tight and up in the air and I'm not going to lie... scary. I was hoping I'd be able to get some savings together, finally. That I'd be able to slowly pay off my parents (even though they've told me not to until I have a job). But that doesn't seem to be very likely.
Hopefully, even though I really don't want this kind of job, I can get a position at a call center in the city with DHL. Moving here was meant to help my mental health, and I was supposed to be focusing on treatment and then finding a job that won't worsen my situation. But alas, life doesn't always provide you with what you need easily. I'm more hoping that a lady named Fleur at my job provider center will have some contacts to get my more creative gigs. Probably not any sort of 9-5 or permanent position, but I've never really been oppossed to working contractually/freelance.
I've renewed my auctions. With proper internet or not, I'm still able to draw and upload things. The only issue may be sending the files via email. But if necessary I will work something out, it just might take me longer to travel to somewhere where I can access free or cheap internet. There is a library up the road, but with the nature of some of my work I'm a little tentative about sending that through public computers.
Commissions have also been updated, and some of you may notice a price increase. I can address that, incase anyone has any concerns.
For a while now I've thought my work very cheap. For the amount of time and effort I put into it, as well as how many years I've been working on my skills both privately and through organised study. I've also had a few people be... surprised? at the price of my work. In the way that they seemed to be expecting it to be more expensive. Here and there I've also been given tips. I also don't want to contribute too much to the... weird view some people have on the worth of art. I don't want to contridute to the idea, and suffer from the expectation, that artists should only be worth a few dollars an hour. In saying that, I also don't want to outprice myself from potential commissioners.
On top of that, I'm now in a situation where I have my name on a lease, bills to pay, food to pay for, travel expenses and so on. I don't want to rely on being lent money or be counting pennies, and I want to be able to pay off the debts I have and also begin earning some sort of a wage. I haven't been able to find suitable face to face employment yet to supplement my lifestyle, which I am working on, but being an artist is what I am. It's all I really can do career-wise. I'm not naive. I'm not expecting to be able to draw my way to paying off my bills or cover my rent, but just a little bit here and there would really help. Right now, all I have to rely on is a walfare payment and that is tight money to get by on normally. And I don't want to be depending on a welfare payment. I want to work for my money. The dream would be to do what I love for money.
So now that the money I can potentially get from my commissions is more money to live off, rather than money to enjoy, the prices have gone up. That and, I do believe it is more than what I've charged in the past, as is a lot of artists' work.
Wow that was long! I'm also suffering slightly because I've not been able to play Final Fantasy XIV for nearly two weeks now... I want to play... with my friends! I also have a new, non-furry obsession that goes by the name of Voltron. If you enjoyed The Last Airbender or Legend of Korra, I highly recommend their reboot of Voltron. Season 1 is available legally on Netflix, and I'm sure it can be found elsewhere. Season 2 has just been announced to be released sme time late this year! I'm also yes of course playing Pokemon Go! There's actually a big picnic event on this Sunday in the city that I'm going to head up to with my bro. Man, I'm actually so happy to be in the same city as most of my friends. I haven't had a proper, irl group of friends in forever. It's pretty cool.

It is currently using quite old art, but I haven't been able to find or create anything new that is suitable so far. But once I have that, it will be updated. However... it's still art that I like.

So, the news is that I'm moving in a couple of days. Once I'm at the new house, I won't have internet access on my PC for 5 - 20 days. I'll still be contactable via e-mail, but my activity here is going to be affected as I can't really afford to use my data to browse such an image heavy site. I may be able to work something out using free WiFi, but I wouldn't hold my breath ;v;
The aucitons I've had running have been put on hold. One garnered no interest, whilst the other only gained one bid on one out of two slots. I will honour that spot, and repost the others at a later date (when I have internet access).
Until then, I will do my best to be able to complete and deliver any other commissioned work I get. I will still have my PC, and will seek out free WiFi to at least be able to e-mail the files to my commissioners. My sketch special is still running, as well!
Please understand though that during this time I will be quite busy packing, moving, unpacking and settling in. This is the first time I've lived in a big city in years, and never as an adult. It's been my dream to live in this city, and I'm excited as well as scared. Once I settle in I'm going to do my best to be far more regular on here, posting more art, getting a sort of schedule, and getting stuck into a few personal projects I've had waiting in the wings. I'll also be looking for a part-time job to help with the costs of where I'm going to live, and I'm going to be working towards getting some sort of situation set up where I can make and sell merchandise/commissions/thatpersonalprojectImentioned online and at conventions.
Lots of things are happening and I'm just hoping my health an handle it, ah hah!
I'm sure I'll be fine though. I've been instructed by my mother to not stresss out, forbidden to worry too much, and reminded that there is always a way.

Wow wow! Update and future plans!
Posted 9 years agoLet me just say, thank you to all of my new watchers and for all of the recent favourites! I never expected to get such a positive reaction to that latest piece, but I am very glad! I worked hard on it and tried out a few new things and I was honestly worried. This is all... very encouraging!
I'm going to try to do more regular and shorter auctions. These last few I've done, I think the interest fades too soon for how long they're up, and that just leaves people waiting far too long. I was thinking of having a variety of auctions from now on, doing some cute non-sexual things, pin-up/solo ones, the usual two character nsfw ones and maybe, if I feel up to it, some group images. what would everyone think about that?
I also jsut want feedback in general. About how my art is, how my commissions are, what you think I can do to improve my art or how I show or sell it, how I deal with customers/commissioners (if you have been one, or advice if you've dealt with customers/commissioners?).
In the meantime, I'm cooking up another auction piece and there are a few characters I want to draw for myself.
So please stay tuned, and I hope you like what you'll see to come!

Between tumblr (where I'm most active), roleplaying, moving but then not moving (that was a disaster that I'm still recovering from) and trying to finish my Bachelors degree I haven't alotted time for FurAffinity or much furry at all! D:
But! I am going to see Zootopia tomorrow! Which I'm VERY excited for! And I've been getting back in touch with some fuzzbutt friends and making a few more closer to home! I'll also, hopefully, be moving soon which means moving closer to a quite large furry community. Which means weekly-ish meets! Art jams! Cons! It's all very exciting, but finding a place to live is proving... difficult!
In any case! I'm cooking up a few more things here! Zootopia will probably inspire some art from me, and I'm trying to get together to more auctions and the like.
If there's anything you'd like to see from me or can suggest, please feel free! I'd love to get more active here again, but I've always found it hard to find my feet- uh, paws?
