my cat is ill
Posted 10 years agoOn tuesday, october 20, i came home to fine my 6 year old calico cat in the corner and not responsive. She was breathing but disoriented and wouldn't move. I rushed her to the emergency vet and she recieved an xray, blood tests and an iv. I was told to take her to a specialist in the morning. On wednesday i picked her up from pueblo area emergency pet clinic and rushed her to Sothern Colorado veterinary internal medicine. She recieved more blood work, and an ultrasound. I was able to visit her at 4pm, she had made some improvement but they want to keep her over night. The bills have piled up to over $2,000 usd so far blowing away my savings. Posted 11 years agoI showed up to work and was the only one in the student life office for an hour, eventually other staff members returned after a meeting. I was still alone in my corner of the office from 9 to 11 when the work study students showed up late. 0_0 i have finished all the work i have to do today and am finding ti difficult to force myself to sit at this desk and be unproductive. meh.

Not because I don't like the idea of prints, but because i don't have a great printer nor do i have the motivation to go get one or print from somewhere else on top of struggling to get a good quality photo. I'd also like to finish 60 more paintings for Denver comic con before June 5th. Be prepared for posts. If you'd like to recommend logos, I'm open for suggestions. Those are always my biggest sellers at conventions.

I'll have paintings for sale, maybe a little jewelry, we'll have to wait and see on that one. there is so much going on lately that i need to vent and i can't and i just want to scream so, why not vent on here.
first, one of my brothers was found to have a tumor on his cerebellum, luckily the tumor is small and thus far doesn't' need to be removed (good thing since there is a fifty percent chance that a brain surgery would cause more damage than good) also, the doctors see that his cerebellum is deformed, (all these are caused by his birth defect). This deformation is causing pressure on his spine and there currently is nothing we can do about it, but he is going to see more specialists. I am terrified! My brothers are the rocks in my life, they are my best friends, and practically my children. if you believe in god and want to pray for him, i'd be grateful, either way he needs some strong positive thoughts going his way. even thinking about this now and typing this has me starting to cry again. he's just now become an adult and i couldn't stand the idea of him not being in my life!
Second, my mother and sister are trying to... figure something out with their relationship which tends to put me in the middle and its frustrating and i'm so over it.
Third, my half brother christian is brilliant! he attended the family Christmas party at my sisters. It went well but my biological dad is being a jerk and its killing me knowing how separated that he is from my sisters just so my dad can feel comfortable. *anger*
fourth, i wish my mom was in a healthier relationship
Fifth, I want to be in the kind of relationship i see my sisters having. It doesn't need to be perfect, god no because, i'm not perfect but i see them and i see their kids and think, i want that!

Welcome to Grad School
Posted 12 years agoSo, i've been going though alot of decisions this week. I thought I might be moving back to California after i finished my BSBA (Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration). But, i was offered a GA position at the University where i currently do my work study. And, well i just got confused about not only where i was going to live but what degree i wanted to pursue. After some soul searching, i decided i was going to stay in Colorado for another two years. While here i'm going to get my Masters in Business at the same university that i'm attending. I know I want to work in HR and/or Event planning for a hospital or nonprofit. I love working with students but, i feel like if i decided to change my career path,i could still do that without a degree in higher education and Student life. :D
Over all, this is going to cost me another $15,000 for school. However, there might be a chance that since i work at the university, i'd get a discount and pay around 10,000. I also am going to have to start researching scholarships and Grants available for Grad Students.
I know my roommate, Tak, will be happy about this choice, she gets to keep me two more years and i know she isn't going to find a roommate as awesome as i am. haha.

:( so i'm getting a few other quotes. It figures that my car has an issue after it's been paid off, i just wish the issue was close to $400 dollars. I'm picking it up from the Car Doctor today, they're the ones who quoted me the $655. Hopefully i can find something a bit more reasonable.
I guess if that's the worst thing happening in my life right now, it's no so bad right? just one big bill and no medical or family problems. Always looking on the bright side, or trying to.
It calls out to me, the wanderer, the who whistles my tune. It rings in my ear, whispering sweet dreams and comfortable clouds of pillows to sleep on. Yes, my Neverland sings out a simple melody and as i turn away waking with the light shining though my windows and alarm buzzing, piercing my mind from bliss, it digs its claws in leaving scars. OH! how i wake with such an ache and need to return back under the blankets for just a few more minutes.
so glad my schedule has me starting classes at ten o'clock next semester!

updates on commissions and my life.
Posted 12 years agoOkey, so now that i'm feeling more comfortable with making badges, i have them as something i'd take as a commission, i still want creative freedom so i listed them for $5.00 USD, this includes shipping within the united states, it might cost more depending on other countries, i'll figure out those costs today when taking a few other commissions to the post office.
On another note, school starts up soon and i'm dreading it but, it is my last semester which is a sweet and sad thing. I loved most of my time at the university but, its time to move on. Time to look for grad schools and finding a job that offers insurance and all that good stuff. Of course, i'm not expecting anything great right away, after all, it still takes work to get to where you want to go and i'm not some dreamy eyed student either, i know big jobs don't just happen without the leg work.
oh another note, got a new lap top, it has windows eight but, i dont have my photoshop on it anymore so sadly, no practice will be getting done on digital work, even though i now have a new tablet that i love very much. And, i have a scanner as well, but, nothing is getting scanned since the scanner wont recognize that it is plugged into my computer. but, maybe i can fix that in the future.
