This year's set of memorial day pictures are all uploaded. There aren't as many as previous years,
but I'd like to think the quality of the pictures makes up for that.

I'm getting back into commissions again, but I'm starting small to make sure I can budget my time properly for it.

And you guys seriously have no idea how hard it is to find poetry from a specific time period in a language that you do not speak.

I also stumbled across this interesting story while searching for Russian poetry. tl;dr Story claims that German and Russian soldiers called a ceasefire because they were being attacked by starving wolves. I have not personally verified the truth of these claims, but it makes for an interesting contrast to the Christmas truce from 1914.

Building a pc is a giant pain in the ass

I don't care what about; it's just an excuse for me to socialize with people.

I feel outstanding. I got myself a twitter that I can use to post inane stuff on because the twitter virus finally got to me. I've been drawing a lot again---as I'm sure you've all noticed. I've been really challenging myself artistically, and it feels good to see the progress I've made over the past year. I look forward to seeing what sorts of progress I make in the future.

I've been playing Army of Two with  sariadragonkitty and It's been delightfully hilarious. We're part way through Army of Two: 4th Day no and it's only gotten funnier.

I'm getting poetry together for this year's set of memorial day pictures and I'm particularly interested in finding poetry from the Ottoman Empire, Russia, and Italy but finding poetry in a foreign language is a difficult thing. If anyone could spare some time to help me look, I'd appreciate it.

I've been back in town for a week now, and meant to post this earlier but just couldn't bring myself to talk about it yet. I told a lie of omission in my previous journal. I was out of town visiting family, but that was incidental. My best friend had died and I was attending her funeral, but just couldn't bring myself to talk about it yet. I've now recovered to the point that I can and just wanted to apologize for the aforementioned lie of omission before it starts to fester in my mind.

I'll try to preemptively answer a few questions here. Her family is doing well and have the support that they need. I am doing much the same and chatting with people over the last week as though nothing had happened allowed me to deal with my emotions in smaller, more manageable segments. Not telling anyone was purely part of my grieving process and that part is now concluded.

Thank you to everyone for the support you've given me, even though you didn't know you were giving it.

Gonna be out of town visiting family for about a week.

For the past month or so I've felt like I'm stagnating artistically and I'm not quite sure what to do about it.
If you all could leave a comment letting me know what you think I'm doing well and where I could use some work I'd appreciate it. Not knowing where to focus my efforts will likely just result in me expending more effort for little result.

All of mine are too big for right now, so if anyone wants a request, now is a good time. *hint hint*

All of my memorial day pictures are up now. I hope you all had an enjoyable weekend; I'm going to take a break from artwork for a while. This set of images took a lot out of me.

So I let memorial day creep up on me without getting any poetry picked out this year, but I've got a project in the works that I hope will be an acceptable substitute for more "In Memoriam" pictures.

Alas, it's some world building work and isn't historical except perhaps in feel.

Finally get all my art stuff set up again and now I'm sick. I just want to art, life, why won't you let me?

I'm surprised by how much my art has improved over the past four years. I'm more surprised that it's been four years since I joined this site. Time passes by so quickly, almost too quickly.

I also find it quite hilarious that my most viewed submissions are far and away an old commission chart that was linked to by a banner ad, and a mudcrab alignment chart.
