Moving! [IMPENDING GALLERY CLEANOUT - FEB10]
Posted 12 years agoFirst, the good news: I somehow swindled some poor chap into being my roommate and my apartment application has been approved! Move-in is set for FEBRUARY 10 and I'm really excited!! It's going to be great to have my own private space again.
Now, the bad news: In light of recent events I am no longer comfortable hosting my work on FA. I will continue to display work on my art tumblr as well as my Weasyl account. If you don't know what "recent events" means, please message me privately and I will be happy to forward additional information to you.

Trello Commission Board
Posted 12 years agoI made a Trello board to help me organize my outstanding work in a more visually palatable way. If you have a Trello account, you are more than welcome to comment on work which pertains to you, just please keep things polite so I'm not forced to remove that privilege. I might switch to using this exclusively from the Google Docs page, since this allows a lot more flexibility!
Refunds are, as always, available for those who do not have work started on their icons. Refunds come out of pocket and do not affect the donation which was made in 2012. Please feel free to email, comment, or note me if that is how you would prefer to resolve your outstanding commission. Doing right by my commissioners is more important to me than being able to go out for dinner, or buying novelty food items online, or picking up cutesy commissions from fellow artists.

Posted 13 years agoHey guys!! This month, I am raising money for Rick's Reptile Rescue, a local charity ran by two very sweet people out of their own home. I will be seeing them at the reptile show next month and wanted to be able to do something for them, but with my financial situation so up-and-down lately I am not able to make a significant donation out of my own pocket alone. The Paypal link on their site is not currently working, so I will be making the donation in person in May.
Carol, how the flip does the reptile rescue benefit from you doing free icons?

Can I edit or repost my icon?
Yes! However, I would really prefer you ask me first! Color it, shade it, apply animated rainbow filters - I don't mind. I simply ask that you credit me for the work I have done, especially if you post it in your gallery here or on another site. :)
How do I pay you for an icon?
There is a Paypal link at the bottom of this journal entry. It is VERY important that you attach your FURAFFINITY USERNAME in the note with your payment, OR your PAYPAL ADDRESS in the comment you leave on this journal! Both is preferred! Anonymous tips are appreciated, but I would really prefer being able to give you something in return!
May I pay for multiple icons?
Yes!! If you would like to make a more sizable donation, I will gladly do work for you for multiple characters, ie splitting $20 between two characters. This is only offered "within reason" - $10 split between two characters is okay - $10 split between ten characters is not.

Yes!! If you would like to make a more sizable donation, I will gladly do work for you for multiple characters, ie splitting $20 between two characters. This is only offered "within reason" - $10 split between two characters is okay - $10 split between ten characters is not.

Posted 13 years agoHey guys!! This month, I am raising money for Rick's Reptile Rescue, a local charity ran by two very sweet people out of their own home. I will be seeing them at the reptile show next month and wanted to be able to do something for them, but with my financial situation so up-and-down lately I am not able to make a significant donation out of my own pocket alone. The Paypal link on their site is not currently working, so I will be making the donation in person in May.
Carol, how the flip does the reptile rescue benefit from you doing free icons?
They don't. There are multiple tiers of icons for contributors to the donation pool. Those who spread the word will still receive free icons in compensation. C:

Sketches take me anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes to complete, as opposed to the one or two hours I need for a full color icon with shading. This is the only feasible way I can offer something for everyone. This method encourages people to give what they can afford.
How do I get my icon?
Make a journal advertising this journal, first! Then, comment below with your character's name and a SFW reference of your character - I absolutely CAN NOT work from NSFW references at this time. If there is anything important about your character that I cannot learn from the reference, you need to tell me in your comment! Edits will not be made to free icons (but if you ask, I can edit paid icons).
What's SFW/NSFW mean?
Safe For Work or Not Safe For Work. SFW references show only PG nudity with no visible nipples or genitalia. If it needs to be marked "Mature" on FurAffinity's rating system, I cannot use it for reference at this time.
Can I edit or repost my icon?
Yes! However, I would really prefer you ask me first! Color it, shade it, apply animated rainbow filters - I don't mind. I simply ask that you credit me for the work I have done, especially if you post it in your gallery here or on another site. :)
