FurCoNZ 2024 is over, and thank you so much to everyone who commissioned me at my first ever con! I didn't expect so many people to buy a slot! I had to close payment for slots after the first day because I had so many to do, and put everyone else on a waitlist!

Payment Policy:
* Payment is taken via Paypal or Cryptocurrency.
* Prices are listed in US Dollars
* Full payment is to be made before the commission is started.
* Partial payment is not accepted

Refund Policy:
* If I cannot complete your commission due to life circumstances I offer a full refund.
* If there are going to be major delays I will inform you and give you the option of a full refund OR waiting until I can finish the commission (You'll retain your place in the commission queue)
* I do not allow cancellations of commissions once they've begun being sketched. If you decide to abandon the commission process (me sending you updates and asking for approval) then I will stop with the commission and you will not be refunded.
* If you are not satisfied with a commission I do not offer a refund. This is because I will be sending you updates through every single step of the process (sketch, colour, lineart, shading, etc). If you decide by the end of it that you don't like it, you've had plenty of chances to request changes.

Content Policy:
* I don't draw scat or sexualized gore.
* Loli/Shota/Cub/Any sexualized underaged characters are not accepted
* When In doubt about what I'll draw, feel free to ask
* I have the right to refuse any commission request

Turnaround Time:
* This is dependent on the commission. More detail = More time needed.
* I do not give exact turnaround times, but you will receive updates at every stage of the commission and can ask for an update at any time. I am not a full time artist so I cannot give exact times as I have a full time career alongside my art.
* Estimates are as follows, but are not to be taken as confirmed times:
** Sketch: 1-2 Days
**Coloured Sketch: 2-4 Days
**Shaded sketch: 1-2 Weeks
** Full shaded lineart: 2-4 weeks
* This will also depend on how many revisions YOU want. Obviously, the more time we spend revising stages of the commission, the longer it will take.

I've updated my Ko-Fi with my commission prices and a special "Pay What You Want" Sketch commission tier.

Its only 5USD, and you'll get a sketch from me, but the caveat is that you only get to give me a character, and some info on them, and from there I'll draw something based on that.

You do get to choose if you want it to be SFW or NSFW, and you can still specify if there's anything you explicitly don't want to see drawn, but otherwise I draw what whatever comes to my mind.

I've decided to do a run of "Wing it" style commissions as an experiment in what I can pull off artistically and as a paid artist

These are cheaper than regular commissions but the difference is that rather than the commissioner telling me what they want, they give me the following:
• A character (or multiple)
• A mood or a theme
• Whether they want it SFW or NSFW

And from that I draw what comes to me based on the character and the chosen mood or theme. There's more creative freedom for me within the drawing, giving the commissioner a surprise based on what I come up with. The cheaper price reflects the lack of control the commissioner has over the content (save, of course, their limits on what they want to see)

5 Slots will be available on a first come, first served basis. The first person to take a slot might not be the first to get their finished picture, however, if they choose a higher tier than others. I will likely draw multiple slots at once and naturally sketches will come out finished before coloured pieces, so that more time can be dedicated to the higher tiers since they require more work.

The prices would be as follows:

Sketch: 10 USD per character (+5 USD for a background)

Coloured Sketch: 20 USD per character (+10 USD for a background)

Shaded Sketch: 30 USD per character (+15 USD for a background)

Full Lineart and Painted Shading: 50 USD per character (+20 USD for a background)

If your character is judged to have a very complex design (extra wings, intricate markings, strange additional anatomy, etc) extra will be charged based on this..

Would people be interested if I did YCH auctions? And if so, what sort of poses?

I like seeing YCHs from other artists, and I think that for commissioners its a great thing to show what they'll be getting, rather than both the artist and commissioner sorting out an idea so there's a clear pose and scenario sorted out.

I would likely do a tiered auction, with the starting bid being quite low and for a sketch, and as the bids get higher certain milestones will upgrade it to a coloured sketch, then a shaded one, then a full lined and coloured piece with painted shading at the top, so as the bids go higher the quality does as well.

I've done a few of these on my old account, and I think people enjoyed them.

So I'm trying to gauge interest here. Would you like if I offered YCH auctions for a chance at some art?

I continue to have a recurring dream that has been persisting for over half a year now.

Above is light refracting through a void as if through water, but the void is empty, and below a black abyss darker than anything I've known.

But the abyss is not an unwelcoming or cold place. It reaches out with a feeling of assurance, as if to say that everything that once was will return to it, and be welcomed without judgement or scorn. It is a place where existence begins and existence ends, but it is not to be feared.

From the infinitely deep darkness rises a presence, one that forms into the shape of a person, unfathomably large as if it would dwarf even a galaxy. There exudes from this being a maternal feeling, as if it was the mother of many things before and will be the mother of many things to come.

The dreamer is taken into her hands, cradled despite her body being orders of magnitude bigger than even a planet. And in that grip, as if it was holding a newborn so warm and soft, comes a feeling of overwhelming catharsis. All barriers holding back pain and hate and rage and sorrow break, and they flood forth.

And it is okay. Communicated without words or motion is the very encompassing concept that these things are all accepted and to be felt openly, so that when all of it has passed something new might come to fill that void. Drain away your sufferings and aches, cry until you cannot do so anymore.

This being knows the pain, and loves despite it. And from that presence comes a boundless love as the dreamer lets flow all their anger and pain, so unending in its torrent that it will outlast even the most bitter of embers falling from your lips. And when you are done, it will remain.

A presence so cosmic in its scale that the affection for the dreamer could not be disbelieved, for only something as vast as to walk on galaxies could hold that much adoration. Only something of that scale could have the perspective on life and existence to continue to love despite the cold randomness of existence.

It ends when a cool breeze from above sweeps away the warmth of the abyss, at the same time as the presence raises the dreamer high as if to return them to that light. For the abyss is not for them to dwell in. Not yet. But it will wait.

For the next time the dreamer will visit.

And for the time when the dreamer will stay.

I've started a patreon for those who might want to help me in my artistic endeavors. I work a full time job in the electrical sector, and so most of my free time is given over to drawing and writing. So while I'm not the most prolific person, nor do can I dedicate my entire day of work to creativity, I try to sketch at least once a day, and write some drabbles that run around my head during this time.

Does anyone know of art platforms, groups, or collectives for promoting your furry art on? I'm trying to generally do that through twitter but naturally the algorithm is always a bitter thing to court. I would try Reddit, but from what I've seen of their algorithm any art post by a user who isn't popular doesn't even show up in the New section properly, and often isn't findable unless you explicitly search for it.

Its getting tiring posting art and stories and having almost no one even favorite them let alone comment, watch, or respond in any way.

I could do fanart, I suppose. I like drawing other people's characters if they allow it. Although the issue is having anyone see it in the first place unless the original artist of the OC is kind enough to plug it, even if I do enjoy just drawing it for them to enjoy.

My old account had at least 1k followers, and it was nice to engage with people in the comments, messages, and whatnot. I miss being able to do that.
