UPDATE TIME!!!
So I have been going to school for Radio the last couple years and finally the time has come.
I GRADUATED!!!! WOOT!
Not only that, but with honours no less. ^w^ It has been a long couple years and I have worked my ass of but I did it. I only Broke down a couple of time. (Sorry hun) TTnTT So now I'm in the long and horrible process of finding a job in radio. If any one has any suggestions let me know.
Enough about radio, Time to talk about LARP.
So recently I joined the local Mage the Awakening larp. It's lots of fun. Finally a larp I can sink my teeth into. Its a far cry from different form the table top RPG's i have ben playing over the last decade or so.
and thats the gist of what I have been up to.

furnalequinox was a lot of fun and I made it back home safe and sound.
I met some amazing new people and got some amazing Commissions from

I want to thank all those people that heard my ringmaster sell I did this year at my table. I practiced the routine just to entertain and I could see it did just that.

Critterama gave me a shout and asked me to help out so visit the booth in the dealers room and feel free to say hi
I have never actually mad it out to Montreal before, let alone this con.
It is going to be a new experience for me to be sure.
This being the rare occasion I update my journal, I guess I should update everyone on what has been going on.
over the last year i have been going to school for Broadcast radio and my school life has kept my endlessly busy.
I worked really hard and it showed. I managed to get on the deans list in my course.
Now school is over for the summer and life has taken a down turn at the moment.
I haven't managed to find a job that can support me and I need to move out of my current residence before the start of the school year.
So ya, that's what is up with me.

Getting everything ready for the con with the business has been a trial. But thanks to a couple wonderful people, we have managed to get everything ready.
School has hit me hard this week with 3 major projects. All of with will require me to try and get them done as much as I can before the con, otherwise I will have to work on them while I'm there.

School is uber fun though.
And finally. This Thursday marks my birthday.

So previously I sent out an emergency all call to fill up 2 spots in my room for FE.
The response was overwhelming and I shortly there after filled up my room.
I appreciate every person that has responded and wish to apologize to all those I have had to turn down due to filling up my room.

Ok, I just received bad new. 2 of my roommates canceled on me and I'm in NEED to fill the spots.
so with Furnal Equinox looming just over the horizon, I come to FA to try and fill the spots.
so a little information:
This room share is for http://furnalequinox.com/
The room is in the con hotel.
I will have the room for the Friday and Saturday nights.
The room share is $60 for the whole weekend.

Posted 13 years agoSo it has been a while since i was last on here and updated anything. I have a good reason for it though.
Recently I have gotten back into school and it has kept me endlessly busy for the last 4 months. I'm going to collage for radio broadcasting and while it keeps me busy all hours of the day, I absolutely love it. I have even had stuff I created and produced on the radio. So cool X3
So that's the reason for my absents and now that I'm on winter break, I'm going to spend what time I have getting ready for Furnal Equinox. its a great con you should go.
I'm trying my best to get new products out for this con and also the ability to accept credit-cards. That way you wont have to worry about paying with cash.

Posted 13 years agoSo ya, I really wanted to go to Anthrocon this year really badly; and was heartbroken when I didn't have enough money to be able to. Sadly running a business and trying to go to school has taken up all my money and time. That being said my business is really growing and I managed to make back a lot of money at FE this last year and Im hoping my sales will be as good this year at Condition Blue. We will bringing a new shirt long as well as the old favourites. there will also be more jewelry as well.

Posted 13 years agoHey there everyone, I'm like so happy right now. *is shaking* Thanks to all you awesome furs, I have pulled more then enough funds to Make it to 
Condition:BLUE this year. Last year I had a table at condition and I made horrible sales. This left me with a lot of debt. I don't blame anyone for this (the con especially) but I just happened to have bad sales at that con. It was a hard year money wise (Thanks to school), so I thought I couldn't make it to condition:BLUE this year let alone any other conventions there after for a while.
But thanks to awesome furs this year at Furnal Equinox we managed to make enough money to go and even make more stuff to sell at the con. Lot of furs have made suggestions for shirt designs and we have a huge list of ideas that we have to go though. Rest assured we will have new ones coming with us to condition:BLUE. Also more jewelry as well, seeing as so many people like them.
On top of that depending on how we do at condition this year we we possibly be attending What the fur? 2013 in Montreal.

Ok, so I think that's enough business news for now.
Being at the con was so much fun. I got to hang out and talk to so many great furs. There where a whole bunch of new ones that I met for the first time. Some of who where just new to the fandom, and they where some of the most ecstatic people I have met floating around the con. I also got to meet some of the furs that have been in the fandom for a while but never said hi before. You know who you are and I'm sad that we didn't get a chance to meet before. Finally I got to see some of my old friends that I haven't seen since the last con; I missed you guys and the awesome conversations that we have had since we met and became friends.
Over all I had a wicked time at FE and hope to do it all again next year.

I'm so happy I'm going. school has had me stressed beyond belief and my money is so thin. This con was the only good thing I have really been looking towards all year. QuQ
I get to see all you lovely furs again I haven't seen in so long. On top of that I'm pretty much over my depression, so I wont be a sour puss the whole con. So feel free to walk up to me and ask for a hug; I like hugs. ^u^
I'll be bringing my fursuit and actually wearing it this con. It will be easy to spot me I'm the one with bamboo leafs for hair. Also when I'm walking around in my human suit *giggles* ill be wearing the most awesome of hats. My bowler-hat. *points at my hat of the awesomeness* ^u^
I have met so many people online since the last con and I hope I get to meet all of you that are coming to the con, so don't be afraid to say hi. I'll be spending 90% of the time at my table. I'll also be tweeting my on goings though out the con on my twitter account (@alkanekomodo). Just another way for furs to find me.
Now on to business.
I have been working hard in the little free time I have had to try and get my business up and running again but it has been an up hill battle against money. The good news is I have done it. and will have a table at this years con.
You will be able to find be at table #15 in the dealers den with our current shirts and our new products.
One of a kind jewelry! *throws confetti*
On top of that, I will be doing cheap 2 dollar badges to hep me practice drawing and colouring. (I'll have to do the colouring digital since I do not have any thing to do it with at the con).

Another piece of good news is we will be opening up some commission slots for after the con. I specialize in hard fabrication and animatronics so Ill be throwing that kind of work under the options for commissions.
So if you have a t-shirt design in mind or some kind of jewellery can do that.
We can also do parts for fursuits (animatronic or otherwise) and possibly entire fursuits.

Posted 14 years agoAH HA, the Christmas holiday is so busy. I spent the first week just traveling with my friend Dustoxin. It was so much fun and I got to see so many people again.
I have also been trying to find the capital to buy me a silkscreen rig for Animal Antics Apparel. (Man I hate being broke TT_TT) but if I do manage to get it, I can finally stop outsourcing. That means I can provide the furry community with a more viable option for shirts and other apparel. On a side note I plan on branching out into jewelry, chainmail and other kinds of hard fabrication. So if you have anything like that you want me to make/sell let me know. We will be at Furnal Equinox 2012 with our own table in the dealers den.

Posted 14 years agoOk,so here is the thing. I thought i was over Neex, but it turns out I wasn't. I only thought I was since I was so distracted from the issue with school.
Ah busy, busy school. For how I hate your home work.
Anyways so my drinking continued and so did my depression. It made me a real dumbass and to those I hurt, I'm really sorry. I was wrong in doing those things and I hope you can forgive me.

:hypr: has also graciously created a mailing list for us to keep everyone informed of what is happening in the Guelph area.
I'll be using this list to let people know of my fursuit events, such as fursuit walks and the like.
(I'll try and put a subscription box at the end of my journal for furs in the area, so they can join the list.)

Life happens and now I'm single. So if your interested speak up, I'm looking.
As for my business, It's not doing so well. I only sold 9 shirts at our first con. That wasn't even enough to cover the cost of the con. But I will be working hard to get the website up and running as soon as I can.

I think this is the last one, six. I am going to get me my M class licence. so that means I'll be looking for a motorcycle in the next year or so.

FREE furry bowling

My name is Alkane and I am hosting a furry bowling event on behalf of National Geographic.
They have spent time with me and 2 other furries learning about the furry fandom for their show Taboo.
This event is just to get footage of furries having a good time as a group.
They would just like to film the furry lifestyle as it really is and see the colour and variety of everyone's different fursonas in a relaxed atmosphere.
To that end, they will be paying for the games, the shoes and the drinks for the event.
All you have to do is bowl and be ok with being on camera for them.
Could all participants please come in their fursuits and /or other accessories. .
They have also assured me that no-one will be asking questions about anyone's sex life or other private things in your lives.
The event will be held at Bowlerama West - 5429 Dundas St W, Etobicoke, Toronto - (416) 239-3536
On July 16th at 2pm to 5pm.
3 x 5-pin lanes, for as many games as you like with shoes included.
Drinks will be paid for too.
If there are any furries that wish to make it, but can't afford the gas or a bus / train ticket, and would still like to come, please get a hold of me. Arrangements will be made to accommodate your need.
