25.2 mb/s download, 0.34 mb/s upload
It's ALL over the place and makes no sense. I tried a different router, I've replaced all the cables going into the modem and the router. I'm pretty sure this is comcast's end of things, but if anyone has any suggestions, I would love to hear it.

Update and art stuffs
Posted 11 years agoHi everyone,
I just wanted to let you guys know I have not forgotten about you. I've been putting almost all of my time into finding a job. I have a LOT of medical bills that I need to take care of, so finding stable income is my first priority. As a result, I have had very little time to draw. I don't like it very much, but I kind of need a job. I am hoping to get some art done this weekend, but I still have more job related things to get done by monday. I'm going to try and still work on the dragon-a-day challenge, but it just might not be -a-day atm. So I apologize for those of you waiting for new work from me.
The same thing kind of applies to commissions. Although, commissions will be taking a higher priority. Any time I have will go toward getting those done first, THEN to the dragon-a-day challenge. And just so you know, I have a trello board set up for my commission progress. I'll be posting updates to it when I get things done.

Dragon-a-day challenge - 30 slots ( free art )
Posted 12 years agoHey guys!
I've realized that I have fallen away from my art a bit and that kind of makes me sad. So, I'd like to try and do AT LEAST a sketch a day. As a result, I am challenging myself ( and others if they're interested ) to do a dragon a day! Most of these pictures will be sketches, some may be colored if I have the time to do so. I'm going to shoot for a month's worth and if it goes well, I may continue with it.
Here's how you do it:
1.) Post your ref below. Your character doesn't have to be a dragon to participate, I can turn them into a dragon.
2.) please give me an idea for the picture and a pose to use
3.) I'll be posting them on FA and on my weasyl gallery
4.) I would prefer not do many fat fur or inflation requests so please don't feel bad if your idea is not chosen.
5.) It would be nice, but not mandatory, if you could post a link to advertise my offer
6.) most will probably be drawn feral
[EDIT]7.) ADULT ART IS ACCEPTABLE. So don't feel shy about asking.[/EDIT]
If I do something for you and you'd like to donate a little money to me, I would greatly appreciate it, but don't feel obligated. My PayPal address is contact[at]fauxpawstudios.com

Change of pace
Posted 12 years agoI've decided I want to try and change my focus a bit on the art I do. I'm thinking about focusing more on dragon pics and themes. And I may be dropping puffy stuff from this account and putting it on a separate account. I haven't decided yet. I may also try and get back into my animation skills, so who knows, maybe you'll be seeing some animated videos from me :D
Setting the record straight...
Posted 12 years agoI saw a comment on the most recent announcement from the FA staff that kind of bothered me. So I wanted to post a journal on my thoughts about FA and give a little bit about the history of FA.
Before there was FA, there were a lot of smaller furry communities. There wasn't really a single hub for furries to come and feel safe. A lot of people, myself included, were on DA. I didn't feel safe there and I never got a sense of community or felt like anyone gave a crap about the art I was doing. I saw a need. I set out to try and create a place for people to come and share their wares without feeling uncomfortable, hence the birth of FA. At the time, I had no professional training with PHP or servers. I was young and ambitious, but I was doing the best I could in the best way I knew how.
So fast forward a bit to the transition of FA to a new owner... FA had had a lot bumps and growing pains. The community had grown a lot faster than I had ever imagined it would. At that point in time, I was inexperienced. I knew this was an issue. It was around this time that I needed to go to college. I knew that if I went to college, I could learn a lot more about the web and languages being used. And not just knowledge of how the web works, but other personal skills like public speaking. It got to a point where I realized that I could not give FA the attention and knowledge it needed so I had a chat with Dragoneer. Let me be clear, I did not WANT to give up FA. I did not want to abandon the community. That being said I realized that under Dragoneer's care, there was a better chance of the website succeeding and thus I sold FA's code, domain, and hardware to Dragoneer.
I've grown a lot in my industry and I have learned a lot about public relations and personal skills. I know I have to keep growing and learning as a web developer and a person in general. Do I agree with the decisions of the admins of FA, not entirely no. Do I regret handing the reigns over to Dragoneer, no. I would probably have done it again at that point in my life. I knew I needed to focus on fixing things with me before I could help anyone else.
If anyone has any questions, I would be happy to answer them.

I reserve the right to use the full, non-watermarked commissioned work on or in anything I see fit. This may include, but not limited to, posting them to online galleries or on personal websites and using them in art portfolios.
The Customer may use the commissioned work for anything that is not for commercial purposes. They may not re-sell the image in any shape or form. The customer may not claim any part of the work as their own or anyone else other than me. The customer is allowed to crop and alter the image for the purpose of creating avatars, banners, or uploading to online galleries. I would prefer it heavily if you provided a link back to this FA account with proper credit.
I am open for sale of full commercial rights. If the customer is interested in purchasing commercial rights, please contact me about it and we can discuss it further.

##FREE REQUEST LOG##
Posted 13 years agoPLEASE, PLEASE, PLEEEEEEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU RESPOND!
Lately, I have been a lot more active art-wise... And having personal projects is a nice thing. But it would be nice to have other options for smaller things if I want them. That is why I am creating a free request log. Basically, the idea is that any time you get an idea for something you want drawn...it could be anything and include anyone (within reason) and post it here. Make sure you include a reference and your idea. And when I am feeling in the mood to do something or experiment, I can choose from this list and you will get free art from me :D
Another option is to post a reply that basically says, "HEY! You can include me in anything you draw... I'm okay with the fact that you're gassy and fart a lot...and people around you tend to...er...explode..." or something to that effect XD That way, I know it's A-OKAY to draw you and not worry about offending you lol.
Please understand...
Not everything will probably be picked.
Not everyONE will be picked...
I've been wanting to make it a personal habit to draw more often. With my health being the way it is...it makes things very unpredictable :/
At least when I have good spurts, I have things and ideas...people to bring in and draw. :D
This list will not be deleted and you are free to pass it around or create a log yourself. You can also post to this list as many times as you want.

Fur Affinity Change of Ownership
Posted 18 years agoSo I sold FA to Dragoneer today...
Dragoneer and I have come to an agreement on the ownership of Fur Affinity. I have transfered ownership to him as of today. I am confident in his ability to manage FA. He has proven himself to be an invaluable asset to the website and the FA community.
It's been nice seeing FA evolve into what it is today. It's changed and grown so much. I will still be around here though, so I am not going away... I apologize if I have not been very active lately, school has been keeping me busy. (and is actually currently still at school...)
I will try to be a bit more active in the future...
