Ah I need to get back to drawing, it's been too long

after a year in LA, I got a tiny severance check & was let go of my job at a fund.
man, reality hurts.
now I got rent with no income :(
I'm beginning to think I should pursue my love for design (particularly 3D modelling/interior design), but I'm kind of afraid to take on a lot of debt...does anyone have an experience?

So I moved! to LA, CA!
I must be out of my mind too.
No job, no money, no house, no car, not even a bank account. Just dove in and came here. I guess this counts as re-immigration?

Anyhow, I've actually sorted out most of the problems above and have been living near Pomona, where Califur will be held in a few months!

I saw it last night at 10:50pm in Taiwan, holy smokes was the theater packed. I never expected full seatings for a animation film this late in the night.

It's actually really good even without anthro characters.
It's no longer a 1.5 hour music video, but rather a 1.5 hour creativity orgasm. I laughed so hard at a lot of the plots.
absolutely loved it! go watch it if you haven't!

So after a long year of mental torture, I'm finally off!
Didn't really gain any muscle in the end though, because about a month before discharging I sort of become the "old guy" that can just tell rookies to do the work, so I got fat XD

Good thing is I had sort of IT support job, so I was mostly doing what I wanted.
I made some friends, and got to know some good people, but most importantly I got to know more about dealing with superiors and officers, which will probably help me in the coming years of work.

Also another good news, I drew a ton right after I got off, so that's why there are 3 new submissions that showed up out of nowhere, hope you guys enjoy it!

Anyway, now I need a job....but I've already ordered flight ticket to go to Japan at the end of the year to visit some fur friends, and go to Komiket there.
So i'm sort of stuck, but its ok, because I can draw all day long

Woot! After a whole months of backpack travel in China, I'm back to Taiwan at last!
Beijing, Nanjing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and a couple more cities in 4 weeks, I was so tired lol.

but it really made me think of life.
There you can practically bribe in daylight, and sometimes bribing is required.

You don't always get hot water to take a shower, you have to boil them first and wash it fast before its used up.
(yet, you're lucky that you have equipment to boil water)

You don't get to just work hard and be the best to succeed, you need to use relations, backdoors and bribes just to get to a comfortable spot in job field.
(yet people live in poverty have absolutely no hope of getting out still manages to survive)

You can pay 80 Yuan (14USD) a day to hire someone, and they'd literally risk their lives for you.
(literally climbing up a wall without safety and seal a leak in the roof with torches)

Life isn't precious since there are simply way too many, a person's life can actually be accounted: worth approximately 200,000 yuan.
(a lot of coal miners died that way, and their family accepts that money almost with an attitude of "anticipated market price")

Therefore, the lower tier people are extremely resilient, and can die for their beliefs without questions.

Which is why all factories are in China, because only them can endure such harsh torture and still have a smile when they are paid so little.

I think we've lived in civilized world a bit too long that we forgot how evil, cruel, and strong we humans are.

People in US dies from all kinds of allergies, people in china survives through 20 hours of standing in trains, practically toxic food, ancient water, and leaders who don't, and can't, care about people lives, simply because there are too many.



I feel I need to be more grateful about my life.

I'm still wondering in china, travelling to beijing today to meet some friends.

this place is crazy lol..uber rich people and uber poor people living in the same area...

sometimes you feel bad that you're wearing nice clothes when poor people walks by...and then feel better all the sudden when someone with gucci and chanel stuff all over her body walks by.

unfortunately I've been wanting to draw more...porn-ish stuff but can't since I live in my friend's place lol

I rarely share my personal life here, but I really need advice. from anyone, any background, any experience.

I've always admired the spirits exerted from samurais in the 14th century, where honor, discipline and loyalty goes above all else.
I've always tried to be like them, at least when it comes to dealing with girls.

I met this girl, charming and took great interest in me, who slept with me (only sleep) soon after we've met.
She said doesn't want to be in a relationship, and that she doesn't want to do anything with me.
There's another guy at the same time actively trying to get her.
She's a bit cheesy, although mostly innocent, she loves to almost flirt with us both.

Now before the drama goes on air, I found that she was sleeping with him too while sleeping with me.
I shut it down and told her that I don't tolerate these, and after a long talk and tears she promised to change.

She friendzoned him with talk, but apparently she still meets him every day and do everything together.
I know the other guy too, and feeling ashamed after I got baited into some action with her, and didn't talk to her in almost a month.
So apparently that helped, as I expected, for him and her to actually get together.

I found that my selfishness is getting me, and jealousy too, even if I know i shouldn't have any of these feelings, and that this is the best turnout already.

Is it stupid in this age, in USA, for me to constantly control myself with discipline and honor that my culture taught me (and I'm serious about this), that I should just let myself go, and accept the fact that flirting and f-buddies are ok?

My human nature is fighting my conscious for sex and all those, but I've always forced myself to control my needs and as a result, gave up a lot of times where I could've had some relationships and physical actions.

Should I just follow the crowd that a commonly-known perverted sex-seeking american does??
Where has self control and seeking loyalty gotten me?
I mean, I really don't see myself getting any rewards from it anymore...not applause from society, not approval from whatever gods there are, just more time alone than more time with girls and fun.

So i'm starting my last semester of college, and it's great because there's only 4 classes, and I have plenty of time to do whatever I want.
I'll probably spend a lot of time finding a job, but also draw whenever I can.
