Posted 4 years agoHi,
Hope you are all well and surviving. I have completed my move to Oregon from Chicago subs. I left my house I had for 5 years for the last time, and actually kinda teared up a bit. I went to my first con in Chicago area and will remember all of you very much as the best part about the place. I enjoyed the sporting events the theater and the great food, but in the end I was betrayed by my employer and had to leave for greener pastures. Hope the conventions get going again and we can return to that some day. I certainly miss the hugs.
Love you all,
AJ.

MFF 2019 review
Posted 6 years agoFirst of all,, yes,, I am still alive.
I did make it out there. And being a local ,, I had to trunk fursuit again. But,, I had fun. The con is huge,, and I did not see many people I knew anymore. Just like 3. That's it!
That room lottery shit really fucks things up I'm pretty sure of that. Paw thumbs up to the staff as I thought it was much smoother run this year. Also,, the Dealers Den was just amazing. It's what should be expected from a 10 thousand attendance convention. And the adult section of the dealers den? Awesome! I don't think I saw one human genital anatomy in the place. And that makes me laugh,,,cause if people were not buying,, it would not be there would it.
The rave was awesome too. Back in the day ,,, like in the 80's we used to do this stuff called "Acid" to see shit like that. But no,, I'm pretty sure what I saw was reality. Many very cool looking furries on stage, and on the floor,, just having a blast with some really smashed techno and light show.
Ahh,,, nice. And my fursuit still fits,,,,, So there too!
You all take care and have a happy holiday season.
Hugs,.

MFF 2019? I don't know what to think.
Posted 6 years agoI guess if you want to go to MFF you are probably somewhat bitch slapped at this point by their room lottery. It looks like this. If you can't get a room, you might not be able to go to the con.
Rather than get white girl wasted angry, and have a drunken rant here, I'd like to entertain a thought process on how to deal with this. I'm going to make a few points here.
First the details. Apparently,, to get a room at MFF you have to be pre registered for the con.
Second. There will be a lottery opening at 5pm on August 12th to be selected to get a room or not.
Third, It does not matter at what time you enter the lottery for the rooms. It will be drawn at random,,,sort of.
Sort of,,, means that if you have a "Group" of people going into a room,,, ie max occupancy, you will be given higher priority on the lottery pull.
If you don't get a room ,, don't despair. If you piss-a-fit before the deadline, you can get your money back from your registration. (I'm good with that, cause I went with a sponsor level this year.)
Okay,, you probably went to their site and read this,, and then read the drama responses on Twit etc.
There are some real problems with this. One vendor stated that if she cannot get a room, she cannot afford to vend, and therefore can't go to the con.
That is ugly. I hope that gets worked out,, cause some people go to furry cons for a living.
Now my own perspective,,, (now that I got over throwing empty beer bottles at the wall),, I kinda understand. The con is huge now. Bigger than anyone had imagined. I started going to MFF in 2007 in Shaumburgh IL and fell in love with furry there. I think there was 1200 people then. Okay it got popular,, now there are 10 thousand.
(I still have a crush on Electropaw) *sighs*
So how do you handle 10 k people with a volunteer staff? Good question. And I guess from when I got correspondence from the staff, they ask for patience on these matters.
Well,, yes and no. So rather than we all get really upset, how about just submitting ideas. I'll start.
1. If you are making us be pre-register and get a room,, why do we have to stand in a line to get a con badge? I mean you all ready have our I.D. and credit card info. Not a debit card,, but requiring a Credit Card down. How about using your room hotel key as a con badge? I stood in line last year for 2.5 hrs. That,,, is really hard on people. Someone said in the line,,,"We flew all this way and paid a lot for this weekend,,, to stand in a line?" Yep! You did,, I got baked too. I took paid vacation,, it all adds up.
2. If local people want to attend the con without getting a room, can you provide a locker area for valuables or a change room with lockers for those who want to fursuit and don't have a room? There is no place to change into a fursuit in any hotels that is secure I saw. If you don't have a room,, it's like you don't belong there.
3. If your volunteer staff is overwhelmed, then perhaps it's time to call professionals. Like Ticketmaster? They handle large concerts and can easily handle a con of this size. There are other much larger con groups that deal with these problems. I suggest the current con staff reach out ,,, for information. Cause it seems like they are struggling.
4 Ditch MFFs 501c non profit tax status. Let the hotels charge what they want for the rooms,, let the con charge what they want for admission. If it's that popular,, then make a profit and pay the staff accordingly to do a professional job with professional resources available. ,,,,, Including legal support.
5. Hire big name musical entertainers for the main event.
6.. Lastly and not least but foremost. Hire a "Real" security company to manage safety.
Please add your thoughts and ideas. I want to hear. I just want to to go to a nice con again and look at some quality cute fluff. Now I don't know if I can even attend ,, even as a local.
Sad wolf,

going to AC? >.>
Posted 7 years agoI'm going to try to get a room at the Westin ,,,and I am bringing my kid with with me,,, She want's a husky fursuit and wanted me to see if I could find a builder. The room is easier than the builder. But we will try. As you all know,, AC rooms go on sale Feb 1,, and will not last long. Let me know your thoughts. BTW ,,, my kid is now 15 years old,,, and is totally into Comicon and Anime. She knows her dad is a fur. It's all good.
MFF 2018, Yikes!
Posted 7 years agoI went,, well sort of. Since I live about 35 mi away,, I just drove up there. Couldn't find any start times of registration for Thursday till I got there. Got some info from con ops that it didn't start till 4:30pm. I had to go home cause I have a kid and household to take care of. I came back on Friday and stood in registration line for 3 hours. So I didn't have time to suit up. Came back on Saturday for the dance and did suit up in my car. Got wet foot paws even in the parking garage. >.< Wandered around a bit for an hour or so. Saw one or two people I recognized their suits. Basically I didn't know anyone anymore. Looks like suit percentage has really dropped off. Lots more younger group there. They looked like they were having lots of fun. Worlds largest fur con? Well it's bigger than I like. Registration was a disaster. People pay a lot of money to travel to these events, making them stand in line for 3 + hours is really wrong. Plenty of parking so it's doable for non hotel locals. Ehh I guess I got stressed about the whole thing, so I didn't have any fun. If I could have hit the bar for a couple of drinks I might have chilled a bit. I couldn't drink though cause I had to drive and go home back to family things. Besides that there was some Gestapo Bitch in the O bar putting up some type of Berlin wall. I couldn't understand a thing she said,, so I declined to enter. I understand the drinking concerns there,, but big middle finger to them anyway. I give the con a C. I think the Hyatt staff are taxed out and are not digging that at all. The hotel was getting trashed on pretty hard. I saw fur balls everywhere in the halls. ^^ Of course on my way out,, someone probably O.D'd again as tradition is. EMS didn't look too concerned, but I hope they are okay. Oh well. Meh! I'm old but I was a good excuse for loosing 10 lbs so I could get into my stretch suit. Yay!
Mune: Guardian of the Moon, most adorable movie yet.
Posted 7 years agoYou should see this movie. Out on streaming or whatever. Just adorable characters.. It's getting closer,,,and closer,,, Have faith. There will be a real furry movie some day.
P.S. I still love you all.

I really didn't laugh, but sat there in awe. He's an idiot. If he had gone down on her regular, she would still be around.
And made me think pretty hard. Don't ever fall for wolves, or foxes in fur. You will be trashed. Lastly,, I can't stop thinking about what Mickey Mouse said to me and my daughter when we went to see him at Dis World 2 years ago. I'm not making this up either. He said,,,,"Don't date a Cheetah"
Hmmmph.

Bailing on AC
Posted 9 years ago`Due to recent events, I'm not going to go to AC. I had planned to sneak in there this year just well cause I have missed it. I was pre-registered and even had a much coveted room in the Weston. (which is actually become a dump of a hotel imo) None the less, I have always had some security questions down there in the triangle ever since I first attended in 2009. Bums hitting you up for money, very weird locals non-guests, able to walk up to and into the hotel when the party is booming. especially Friday and Saturday nights. I don't even ever remember seeing any uniformed PPD out front of the hotel. Basically all you have for security is a bunch of cute guys in kilts keeping you from getting too drunk, making too much noise and dry humping each other in public.
Yep I am somewhat paranoid. I do tend to duck if a car backfires behind me. I did live in downtown Chicago for a while as well. Finally I know I have been accused of having a bit of a negative imagination on such matters,, but then again,, I did watch a man die once. Kinda changes your perspective.
To all who are going,, hope you have a fun and very safe time. And best wishes to all of you.

Zootopia review.
Posted 9 years agoIt is a terrific film.
It is a bestiary.
it is politically motivated and unbelievably accurate to contemporary politics.
It is dated.
It is really the first furry movie I ever been able to define.
It's situations, or humor, were created with highly demographic research.
Is testing for more serious anthropomorphic realism and story lines in modern film making.
Is probably going to make a whole new generation of kids into furries. >.<
Have fun at the movies!

Robin Williams Passed Away!
Posted 11 years agoI'm absolutely heartbroken by this news. I can't even imagine how many memories and laughs this man contributed to humanity. I don't even know what else to say.
Guardians of the Galaxy Review and Fur point.
Posted 11 years agoThis is an awesome movie. I'm going to see it again in IMAX 3D next. ^^
The one thing that makes this a really important movie to me is the use of the first fully furred realistic "furry" character in live action film.
Rocket was simply awesome.
There have been other furry characters in film,, but not "real life" looking and in live action. Technological development has come to age and made it work.
But more than that,, this character started out as abrasive,,crude and nasty,,drew respect, and ended up being someone you could love, and showed love for others. I have not seen this done in live action film until now.
This could and should, pave the way for more furry characters in Live Action films. Those of you who have read a lot of Si Fi know what they want to see get made into live action big budget films. There are lots of Si Fi stories that cry to be made and couldn't in the past because they use a main or supporting character who is an anthro.
I hope the "Rocket" character has broken the ice and creates the cinematic draw to this genre. I really really hope it dose.
This a move you need to see a couple of times. Really,, it has so much action,, there is tons to miss with only one viewing.
Go see it. It rocks.
Best regards,
A.J.

The Ass, the Cock, and the Fox.
Posted 11 years agoBeen reading Aesop's Fables lately. Here's one you may have missed.
The Ass, The Cock and the Fox.
An Ass laboring with his daily load looked to the to edge of the field seeing a fatted fox slumbering on a stump. He commented to his friend, the Cock, who was crowing upon the fence to wake the dawn.
The Ass lamented. "Who is this fox who does not have to work as we do, and lays in the morning sun. Fat, without any care?"
The Cock took the notice and chastised the resting fox with angst for his sloth with harsh repute at the fox's ear.
The fox calmly got down off his resting place. Walked over to the farmers wood pile, drew the ax and slew both the Ass and the Cock in a moment. Then returned to his rest without a word.
Moral.
If you see a beautiful creature that is full of food and does not have to work. He is probably a bad ass.

Glass Bottom Boat
Posted 12 years agoThis was done probably 2 years ago. Inspired by a very hypocritical remark made by one of the furry fandom's "Highly Respected" artist.
I will never mention the name who got me so worked up to do this. It's actually a protest song to the stupidity of the internet.
And yes,,, there was whiskey involved with the hastily making of this video. Enjoy or not.

I don't like being slammed on for being a high intensity furry lifestyler. So I will keep my etreemley erotic, and FA TOS violating pictures and comments between my self and my close friends.
Mmmmkay? But I still dare you to ask.

Posted 13 years agoI have become tired of this site. FA sucks. Not very interesting anymore.
On the whole furry fandom thing? To be honest I came to it looking for a special person or persons. I did my best but did not find them. I did end up with a couple of crushes on one or two, but I'll do them a favor and leave them alone.
Yes the conventions were fun, But I don't really feel like I fit in anymore. Just not my crowd. Actually I don't really have a crowd at all and that's the real issue. My Fursuits are getting old and need to retire before they're totally trashed. I actually wanted them for studio work anyway. The dressing up like a dog and playing guitar on stage was definitely a highlight of anything I ever did musically. So I thank everyone for that opportunity.
So I'll slowly clean out this site but I'll leave it with contact info in case someone would like to talk to me. There is always the email address. So feel free to save any of the pics before they're gone. Some of you have my phone number. Keep it.
There is no person in furry that has done anything to me; to make me mad, or angry, or any other emo shit like that.
I don't dislike anyone in furry. But damn some of ya smell really awful.
Cheers!
