For those who need a refresher: Hi! I'm Allikitti, ABDL furry artist. Part-time, so it seems.
I've been on a "summer break", of sorts. After April I've been mostly absent from any social media where I have a presence. These sabbaticals are a recurring pattern. I go dark, come back, make art. Hibernate, emerge. Usually without context.
I'm pretty quiet about my personal life, unless you've caught any of my Picarto streams. I don't want to get into a habit of making apologies or explanations for my absence. I feel like my distance from certain social media has been a healthy thing, actually. So I'll leave it there. Just know that I'm doing well, and that I'm never "done" with art.
But some things will need to change. I'll break it down.
Every year, I get a grand, vague idea about how I can do "more". I get a big kick of passion and I immediately try to make use of it. Who doesn't? And it's never consistent. But I'm at a point where acceptance feels like a better trait than stamina. You know the quote, "Don't let perfect be the enemy of good."
Commissions have been a wonderful journey. I've learned a lot from them. I'm not finished with them entirely. But they're not gonna be what I focus on anymore.
I've met so many wonderful and talented creatives in the babyfur community. Every day, I see them develop their remarkable projects through this blazing passion…and discipline, and skill, and perseverance, of course. But what I'm most amazed by is how they find such joy in their work. Commissioned, personal, or otherwise. I'm in awe of the spark. And maybe a little jealous.
This is not me. For a long time, my process has felt mechanical. I've been given several opportunities to hone my craft and truly make art my life. I'm incredibly privileged in that way. But with all these chances, I haven't taken advantage of my circumstances to the level that I'm happy with. And I thought that was a character flaw.
It might be. I was given tools, structure, and support to create since before high school. Adults uplifted me, rooted for my success, helped me grow. So this is a problem of privilege. Evidence of my own mediocrity where another, more deserving artist would have flourished, probably.
But I've realized. I've been practicing my craft in a very structured, transactional way since I decided "artist" was a fundamental piece of who I am. Let's say around fifteen years.
Here's where I'm at. Even on my "art highs", I don't want to make anything for myself. Making my own ideas come to life brings me little emotion. The actual work of illustration is frustrating and sometimes banal. I am technically proficient, but there's little substance.
Learning that was…kinda scary. How'd that happen? Can I get better?
I want to re-define my relationship with art. I want to uncover that joy I had when I was a real kid in grade school, making animals out of magnets, and cat games on Scratch.mit.edu, and shameless RP chatlogs, and unfinished journals full of OC writings.
Basically, I wanna get super fucking obsessed with the process again. I wanna get back to that point where I'm fighting for ways to fill my time with projects. And to do that, I need to turn down the pressure and be patient.
That means no commissions for a while. Things might stay quiet. But they will pick back up.
There it is. I'm Allikitti, I need my summer break, and I still don’t know what the hell I'm doing. But, I'm an ageplayer. That means I'm a kid at heart, right? So I've still got room to grow.

So, the site situation is probably a little bit concerning to you guys.
To let you know where I'm at; I'm not especially worried about my own account right now, and I'm not leaving FurAffinity.
This isn't going to impact how I post.
Truth be told, I'm not totally up-to-date on everything, but whatever happens, I will be posting art somewhere.

July Update
General | Posted a year agoGonna try using Postybirb to update my gallery from now on -- I've got another big backlog now and there's just no way I can manage without a little automation. So expect a bit of a flood later this week! And maybe some wonkiness as I figure out the system.
I'm taking a little downtime r/n, but afterwards I'm gonna be opening for my first Y.C.H. at the end of the month.
So keep an eye out, gamers 😎🎮
Finally, gonna be bumping up the prices for the doodles oooone more time by another $5 or $10 - I got a ton of them these past couple months, and it's been a hard to keep up with the time I spend on them. They are simpler commissions, but they still eat up a decent amount of effort on my end, even as warmups. I'll post those changes once I open for doodles again.
Colorless versions (thumbnails) are gonna be available in the old doodle price range. I always wanna make sure I have affordable options and I'm always willing to negotiate discounts, so when I open for comms next, please feel free to ask if you'd like.

Site badly needed an overhaul! Should be much more pleasant to navigate.

ALSO: Doodle pricing has gone up from $15 to $25, and Colored Sketches are no longer a regular offering.
Why?
TL;DR: I've gotten better at Doodles, and there's no reason why something that costs $15 should look so similar to a style of commission that costs $100.
I decided to bump up the doodle price by $10 (which is where it will stay for the foreseeable future) and soft-discontinue Colored Sketches altogether.
You can still get commissions like Colored Sketches, Icons, Ref Sheets, and other things I don't do much as Name-Your-Budget commissions! Just expect a more "experimental" approach if you want something like that.

I'm very new to the system, but already when I hit "Reply" or "Post" in my mailbox, it just waits 5 seconds and nothing happens.
I check my sent messages and nothing.
Extremely frustrating when you're trying to talk to clients. -.-
(Also thank yew to everyone who bought a doodle from me, uhhh please check your email to see if you've received an invoice haha sorry ^^')

The reason for that: I'm finally trying out convention vending this year! So, I have not had a lot of time for commissions or fun art lately...BUT, that does mean that I'm going to be selling some online merch really soon!
Mostly small things: Badges, buttons, stickers, ect. Once my storefront is fully up-and-running, I'll be plugging that here.
I'm starting out small at a bunch of local festivals in my home area of upstate NY.
First up is the Rochester Erotic Arts Festival! If you are in the Toronto/New England region, would highly recommend you give it a look! I am super excited and a little bit terrified :'3
I'll likely get back to regular commissions later this year, but for now, things are going to be a bit slow and quiet. I do have some fun pieces planned for the future, but I've always been a very sporadic creator. Thanks for your patience regardless, gang!

I'll be hosting an art stream from 7:30pm-9:00pm EST on the Saturday of the con--THAT'S TOMORROW!
Taking small sketch commissions and working on them during the stream!
HOW TO NAB A DOODLE DURING THE STREAM:
1. See the "Do's and Don'ts" section of my TOS. Keep in mind that I don't draw commissions of characters who are minors.
2. Give a DESCRIPTION (+ optional visual reference) of what you want.
3. Send your EMAIL to my TELEGRAM or TWITTER during the stream.
All invoices will be sent AFTER the stream. Limit of 2 doodles per person.Hope to see you there! ^^
