Not really... I think I'm just an inherently extremely lazy person. Even during the several months when I was out of work, I still didn't do much personal art or projects or anything!! I'm still working on this.

Draw my own characters (as well as ponies) more frequently (though I tend to struggle a bit with ideas...)
Maybe? I did actually draw a handful of things with my own characters, but not as much as I would've liked. I feel like I get so worried about drawing nice things that show characters' personalities and stuff like that, when I should be willing to settle for plainer images (or even fanservicey ones) from time to time.
Also I didn't draw any ponies. I haven't even watched any of season 5 yet, which I really need to do... kinda feel like I should wait until I do watch it before drawing more, in case there's new stuff in the new season I ought to be aware of?

Maybe introduce a new character that I mostly-designed a while back but haven't felt confident enough to share yet (since I wanted to try and 'establish' my existing characters more...)
Yes! I finally got around to introducing Claire http://www.furaffinity.net/view/17234511/ , who technically has existed for quite a while but for some reason I was never certain about her design/colors, or whether I should be introducing a new character with even bigger boobs than the rest. But she's here now.

I've definitely gotten new pics over the course of the year (though of course I have yet to upload them myself), though as with drawing my own characters, I feel compelled to always have some kind of 'interesting idea' rather than just settling for general fanservice or letting the artist do whatever they feel like.
Unfortunately, now that the Canadian dollar/exchange rate has taken a sharp turn for the worse, buying new commissions is... substantially less attractive, unless I earn more American money through others commissioning me (which also seems to have taken a sharp drop-off?). I may just have to hold tight for a while, or at least only get pics rarely until things improve.
There are a couple specific pics that I want, but either the aforementioned exchange rate issue is in the way, or the artist(s) in question aren't currently open for commissions.
...Still waiting on some people that have yet to deliver, too.

Watch people that I've been meaning to watch but never get around to doing so because I always seem to be behind on things from the people I currently watch
...Not so much. I did finally get around to watching  jaeh at some point, but that's probably about it. It's probably mostly because I feel compelled to fave a large chunk of an artist's gallery when I watch them, for better or for worse, making it a bit of a mental block I need to overcome.
Unfortunately, I think at least a couple of the artists I'd meant to watch in the past have taken a turn for drawing... less-savory things than they used to, so I'm not sure if I'll ever watch them now >_<

Just want people to know that I hate the "milf" term/concept and find it very dirty/vulgar (you know what it stands for, right?), and I'd like to ask that no one uses it in conversation with me or in response to any of my images. Doesn't matter if the character is a 'mom'-like character, just please don't do it. (This is also why I refer to Toriel as 'goatwaifu', not 'goatmom')

At the suggestion of a pal, I'm gonna try offering sketch commissions for a bit and see if anyone bites? These will be... well, sketches, obviously; kind of a 'cheaper option' for people that might want something fairly quick but don't necessarily need it all cleaned up or colored.

I hate doing self-advertisement journals, but here we go anyway...

So here's the deal I guess: There are a number of upcoming commissions that I'm getting or would like to get from various people (that is, some of which have already been 'accepted' but aren't at the payment stage yet, and some are just "I want to commission this person"); however, the Canadian dollar is doing super poorly right now, which means I'd need to pay that much extra for each piece that I wouldn't have to if I were to use American money instead.
Just to be clear: I'm not actually in financial need right now, nor have I backed myself into a corner by getting more commissions than I could pay for; it would just be much more efficient if I could use USD earned from commissions to pay for upcoming stuff. If you have the option of me or someone else that NEEEEEDS money, pick the other person.

Therefore, if anyone's been thinking they'd like to commission me, now would be a really good time! I'm willing to break my "only two slots" 'rule' if there's enough interest, and people are free to get more than one at a time if they so desire. I'm also willing to do some kind of special or sale if there'd be interest in a particular theme (perhaps beach/bikini stuff, considering it's the middle of summer?)? And/or should I try another YCH/pre-pose thing?

Alright, so I'm gonna do my first-time, purely-experimental stream this evening at 7PM PST / 10PM EST (which is about 20 minutes from time of posting). I'll either be working on coloring an image, or potentially doing request sketches... or both. Don't know how long it'll run! Stream will be silent. I'll put up the stream link once I begin.

Rules for request sketches are probably what you'd expect: no inappropriate content that I wouldn't normally do, likely limited to single character things, maximum of one per person (unless there's a very small crowd). I'll most likely choose whichever one(s) I like the most, but it's possible that I'll do random selection (maybe both).

I won't be tolerating any inappropriate behavior!

If there ends up being no interest, I'll try again tomorrow instead.

So... just a heads-up to all, I'm going to raise my commission prices in a week (on Monday). I've meant to do this for a little bit but I'm gonna make it official now. To 'reflect' on 2014 briefly, I did succeed in my wish to get an animation job, so there's that!


As a side note, my birthday's happening in a month, on April 15th. I don't expect anyone to give me anything or whatnot, but I guess it's just kinda customary to announce it just because...?

I just kinda feel like drawing some stupidly huge boobs, so... I think I'm going to offer one slightly-discounted commission for anyone that would like a pic involving boobs that are around 'Extreme' size on the good ol' boob chart; somewhat bigger is plenty fine, but I think Giga will still be too big for me (a tad smaller than Extreme is alright too!). This would be $2 off of my usual prices, so $12 for a clean drawing, $17 for flat colors, and $22 for shaded. Normal commission guidelines still apply, of course.

Don't know yet if I should take the first one to note me, or choose what idea I like the most. Might take two, depending on how things go...?

Unfortunately there's really no way to know what my week will look like in advance, so I do have to warn that this/these could potentially be slow! Please send me a note if interested.

So... I've been quiet for a while, mostly due to finally getting an animation job (started a bit over a month ago). I'm super-grateful to finally get work in the career I've been hoping for, but sadly I find it REALLY draining and have a tendency to feel too tired/worn out outside of work to actually... well, do personal work. Hopefully I'll get over that hump before too long, but I may continue to be a bit quiet still, it's hard to say.

For those of you that occasionally chat with me on Skype, please don't feel bad if my responses are really bland, infrequent, or just... not very conversational; I really love it when people chat with me (and please feel free to do so), I just tend to be, well, tired and not really in the mindset to be actually making good conversation. Although I suppose maybe it's not that different from normal :v


I haven't been able to do much art recently, but I do still have some stuff that I hope to upload in the near future:
-OC sessions with various people
-A couple trade images I've done
-A small-ish picture series that I started WAY too long ago but am only getting close to finishing now
-Various commissions I've gotten from others (some of which may be a little 'old')
The nice thing about having a job is that I actually have surplus spending money for commissions, which is pretty great. After 'priority' expenses/savings (Christmas, for example) are covered, I may end up getting a lot in the future >.>


Speaking of Christmas, it's obviously coming up soon. I have no idea yet whether I'll make something in time, or whether I'd draw something myself or commission someone else to do it. I'm definitely open to idea suggestions, if anyone has any.
