Things are changing slightly as of now, so that I have more of a rigid schedule, and hopefully this routine will help me to progress more steadily with both my tattooing and my artwork, without stressing that one or the other is being neglected.
From here on out, I will be taking a maximum of one commission per week, and patrons will ALWAYS get first dibs on this. This includes even my lowest support tier at $1 per month. I will not be deviating from this as it's a patron perk to get early access and really not all that fair to people who support me every month if they miss out. Thank you for your understanding <3
My working days will remain :
- tues, weds, thurs, fri (10-6)
- saturday (10 - 4)
I'll also be structuring my days as follows, to force more productivity in all areas of my art:
- tues to fri - 10am til 2pm = tattoo practice/tattoo design work || 2pm til 6pm = furry, anthro, werewolf and other digital art stuff
- saturday - 10am til 1pm = tattoo practice/tattoo design work || 1pm til 4pm = furry, anthro, werewolf and other digital art stuff
If you purchase something 'furry' or TF etc that could be considered tattoo art (eg: headshots/pieces with flowers/pieces with pattern work etc) they may be done within my tattoo art time, so may be slightly faster to complete. As always, I will absolutely do my best to get you your art as quickly as possible without compromising quality <3

WORK STATUS:
I do not work on Sundays or Mondays. <3
Small note on critique.
Unless I specifically request crits, please don't randomly offer them. I struggle hard with criticism due to growing up with parents who are hugely critical and sarcastic to be 'funny.' My mother especially is very OCD and nitpicky and I can't recall the last time she spoke to me without criticising me in some way (I can't even put the bowl in the sink right to wash up. If I touch things in the house they have to be cleaned right after. I have to make dinner but I always do it wrong. The list is endless. We have spoken about it and she refuses to try to change. Dad on the other hand just flat out doesn't believe in anything mental illness related so my anxiety doesn't exist to him.) There's always a problem, and I spent most of my life trying to please people who can never be pleased and striving for 'perfect' which could never be achieved, because so long as it's *me* doing whatever it is, it's wrong. I have been to therapy to try and help me wrap my head around that I don't have to be perfect all the time, and that perfection is impossible, and that I shouldn't tie my (non-existent) self worth into my parent's inability to ket me just be a normal, functioning human being who makes mistakes, but it's hard.
I'm trying to work on this, to feel more comfortable with criticism, but it's a really deep seated problem for me, so for now, at least, or until this message changes, I am not comfortable with random critique. I hope this will change. It sucks living with the constant belief that you're useless, but it's a long road escaping the damage family can do.
I meditate, I take supplements for my anxiety, and I control my diet even. I'm doing all in my power to try and improve, so please be patient with me and don't offer critique unless I specifically ask for it.

Posted 6 years agoAs the title days, my couson has just been mugged on her way homefrom work. She was pushed off her bike and beaten by a group of three men, leaving her with three breaks in her leg that won't be fixed until after Christmas, leaving her out of work and in a hospital bed until then. She's a single mum who rents and has towork 2 jobs to get by, so there's a high chance she's going to need alot of help or potentially face losing her home... The men who attacked her got away and as far as I know there are no solid leads. We've had lots of police cuts in our area so theres a chance they'll get off scott free. :(

Posted 6 years agoSo I finally got back into the working world... sort of. XD
I'm back in a tattoo shop, and training all over again. It's bizarre and surreal and nerve-wracking and exciting all in one go. So far I'm mostly drawing and doing the daily essential stuff like cleaning and chatting to clients, but I've started picking up a machine again and I'm over the moon about it! It's been 8 years since I last slung any ink, so I'm super rusty, but I am loving being back in the environment!
As I'm apprenticing, I'm not currently earning anything, but with any luck soon I will be because my drawing time outside of work is more limited now!
This is having a few small knock-on effects:
- I now only work full days on digital art on wednesdays and thursdays.
- Art may be slightly slower as a result of the above point.
I will absolutely still be sticking with furry art though. I'm happy here, and I enjoy the drawing!
I could do furry art at work if it was tattoo related, so I might start offering tattoo style experimental pieces?
In the meantime, I'm debating whether I should stop doing ref auctions for a bit as the back and forth now takes a lot longer between my working days, and I HATE to leave people waiting D: Refs seem to take the most time to get all the info for so seems logical to consider them to be cut, at least temporarily?
I've made a couple of tweaks to how I'll be taking YCH orders too, to help smooth and speed things along a bit. I now have forms set up to give out to buyer, which will hopefully be a nicer way to deal with things ^^

Posted 6 years agoJust letting you all know that I have my annual follow up checks to ensure I'm still cancer free on Monday provided all goes well. (Small chance of a moved appointment.)
This means a few things:
- I'm super stressed and trying to keep my brain busy.
- I may be slightly slower replying to notes while I knuckle down on my commission queue. (Once I finish this co I plan on note checking.)
- I may be online a little more sporadically, as it's hard to focus with tests looming on the horizon, and if I allow myself on the web I just end up down a rabbit hole of pointless website browsing.
Sorry for any quietness here, I'll be back to normal as soon as I can thinking a straight line without the worry creeping in! <3Stressed :(
Posted 6 years agoMy nan is in the hospital, they thought she'd had a heart attack at first, which thankfully she hasn't, but her blood pressure is up and down like a yoyo and I can't visit her because she lives in another county and I have to hang back and look after everyones pets :(
There's been a lot going on lately with med shortages affecting the dog, mum being diagnosed with diabetes and high blood pressure, and a personal battle to try and get early screening for a certain type of cancer that runs in our family. I'm not sleeping too well, probably brcause of the stress, so i'm always tired and headachy.
On the plus side we did eventually manage to sort out the dog's medication and get his seizures under control, and I finished with therapy!
I'm trying not to let life grind me down but i'm so worried for nan. :(
I hope life is being kind to everyone else? Tell me about happy stuff guys? Share your joy <3
If I'm not chirpy when we talk, toss me a virtual hug? This werewolf mama needs em atm.
Edit: She's home! They still don't know what caused it, but she's having all kinds of changes just in case. Medication changes, lifestyle changes, anything that needs tweaking to make sure she's not over-doing it, is being done.
I'm so relieved! She's not out of the woods entirely until they work out a cause, if they manage to, but she's stable and she's safe at home and happy. <3

I know I've been a bit quiet here, this time it's down to the dog again. I love him but he is a constant bloody worry!
His epilepsy worsened and he's had to be put on more meds, ones that you can only get through a human pharmacy if you don't want to be paying more than £300 per month JUST for that one med! That's all well and good, or it would be, but there's a shortage of the drug in the country (thanks a lot 'brexit' -.-), so it's very hard to get.

Edit - I realised after a note just now that I didn't have my ToS linked on my page. That is now fixed!
I'm noting this edit here as I want to clarify quickly that I have a rule that I won't draw characters that are not owned by myself, a commissioner, or someone a commissioner is buying a gift for in NSFW situations. This extends to pokémon, digimon, Disney characters or other characters owned by big companies. This is because too many people get sued or attemptedly sued for this kind of thing and I just don't need that kind of stress in my life! I will draw fakémon, or in styles like these named companies, or occasionally heavily stylised chibis and stuff, but never NSFW. Sorry guys!
General OCs are fair game, or OCs in species with a lot of variation like khajit, but not things like cute, fluffly little pikachus or angemon or whatever that all just look basically the same and are instantly recognisable to the companies who own them.

Posted 6 years agoSo I need to get more serious with my art. My husband told me that he'd like me to 'get a job'. This is fine in theory, but I have applied for hundreds and not once even gotten a call back, let alone an interview.
I need to do something to help ease his mental and financial load.
If I can't get a conventional job, I need to make art more full time. I can't let my anxiety (my interview history is BAD even when I can get one, pre-cancer) and medical history make his life miserable. I feel like I've been run over by a truck, in his stress he was harsher than the man I know, and it bought all kind of things bubbling to the surface for me. I feel somewhere between numb and hopeless. I want to stay in bed and cry. I don't deserve to be up and about, eating food he bought or seeing people who make the most of their lives and succeed, but I can't do that, I need to force myself to draw. I have to. I have no other options.
I know there are a lot of people out there in tough financial spots, but I just don't know what to do any more.
I think potential employers see my medical history, then the length of time out of 'normal' employment after it and run a mile. In the last town we lived I applied to every business, even ones I had no hope of getting, every few months. EVERY business I could walk into or find a number for. Still no joy. I'm at the point where more of the same is soul destroying. I can't deal with more of the same. I wonder sometimes whey I'm still here at all. Someone good could have survived.
But you guys don't want to hear more of that, so I'm stopping here to say that coms are still open, and now it's more important than it's ever been for me to knuckle down and paint.

So I need to get more serious with my art and plug myself more. Yesterday my husband told me that he'd like me to 'get a job'. This is fine in theory, but I have applied for hundreds and not once even gotten a call back, let alone an interview.
I need to do something to help ease his mental and financial load.

Just letting any who have been keeping tabs on it now that I've taken down the slasher themed YCH as my husband has sprung some time away on me and so I won't be around to draw! (No a holiday sadly, he's doing a guest spot in a tattoo shop up north and he wants me to go with him this time. We'll be staying with friends and he's demanding I relax so... I guess I'll re-schedule that particular YCH and re-post when we get back. XD
The werewolf YCH will stay up as it had longer left on it anyway, and we'll be back by then. just.
Hi all! Just checking in with a teeny life update.
I *am* still drawing, honestly! I'm not uploading a whole lot at the moment as my art is all for personal projects, but I'm working hard on improving my art, diversifying my content and adding and honing elements to craft my styles more definitively.
My main focus at the moment is re-painting all of my old book covers (and painting one for the book that's about to be released.) So far I'm working on the second out of the set, having worked backwards from book four. I'm enjoying revisiting them and seeing progress from then to now. I had thought I wasn't improving with my art, but seeing the updates makes me think that actually, maybe I am! :D
After that I'll be working extensively on my comic plans, which should be interesting and challenging given the style I've opted to work towards. Currently I'm working on crafting and refining the story.
I'll still be aiming to release a few YCHs this year, because I enjoy doing them and drawing different and varied characters, so if that's why you follow me, don't despair! ;P

I'm offering the following options, all fully shaded except for adopts (to make colour picking easier for when they're drawn):

OK... So I'm working hard on honing a new art style that I need to work on for a side-project I have planned for work.
This means two things,
ONE - I need to draw lots of human/humanoid characters
TWO - I need varied characters that fit those specs to draw
With that in mind, I figured I'd do something I don't normally do and open up for requests, with the following regulations:
- Your char must have a mostly humanoid face, (no anthros, sorry!)
- I decide on poses
- They must have a ref or art that clearly shows them
- no edits will be made, this is just practice after all!
- You may use the art as a page doll if you wish
- I will be choosing those I like best, this is not a first come/first serve basis.
- If your char isn't chosen, don't be mad, it might just be too complex and therefore a bit daunting! XD

Posted 7 years agoJust wanted to assure all of you that I'm working on all purchased ych slots though I have been out today. I've managed to get a fair chunk of work done on one piece despite limited time. :3
I've been trying to support my sister through a horrible situation these past few days that I sort of experienced myself when I was in my mid teens. I don't want to say too much but I can't get the memories of my own loss out of my head and I have no way of venting as everyone I care about is involved in this current situation. On top of that the damn car's turbo had gone, so we've got the added stress of needing to find around £1,000 from somewhere.
I just want my sister to be ok :(

Posted 7 years agoHey all! I'm sat here looking at my page and I got to wondering... what kind of content do you like to see from me?
I enjoy painting most things, but I suppose my primary are yiff and horror.
Is there either one of those two things that you prefer to see? I sometimes worry that I neglect horror a bit for the fear that it's off-putting to those watching for yiffy stuff, as I know everyone's threshold is different and I LOVE a bit of guts and gore.
Also kind of interested to hear if people might like to see a bit of lit here, of it that'd be unwelcome? I love to write, but again I know it's not everyone's cup of tea.
Lemme know what you think ^^ I need to get chatting more on here anyway, you guys have all been so nice, so a little healthy debate can;t hurt I guess :3

Posted 7 years agoSo I've been thinking about it and stressing about not bringing in as much money as my very hardworking husband (we're trying to save for a house), and I think Ive found the solution...
From this point onwards, all my YCH pieces will be in USD. (Coms will still be in my native currency)
This will potentially mean up to a $95 saving for some pieces if the winning bid remains at SB :3

Posted 7 years agoA little life update, becasue I'm feeling pretty defeated after a sudden barrage of bulls*it lately.
IRL we've had a few horrible things happen:
- The dog had a severe allergic reaction to something, we still don't know what. We suspect he might have developed an allergy to melon (a treat he's been allowed for years becasue it's one of the few things that didn't seem to contribute to seizure frequency. OR it may be something environmental, as both neighbours on either side have been burning stuff/renovating/spraying things these past few days. The reaction itself would have been fine if not for the epilepsy, as we're not allowed to give him antihistamines (they increase the chance of a seizure a lot apparently.) so all I could do was stay up with him all night and give natural remedies to soothe and bring down the swelling. Calendula and chamomile are godsends imo. I'm just very grateful the reaction was confined to his skin, I'm too scared to think about what would have happened if it was his airways. :( On the plus side, he's on the mend with the swelling almost entirely gone now, and just a bit of itching remaining.
- My mother's eldest dog was also very poorly that same day, so we think the two must be connected. She's only just now (two days later) starting to hold down decent sized meals.
- I had a horrible experience training for a new job I was going to take on to help ease money worries, so bad that now I don't think I can do it, and my anxiety/depression are back with a vengeance. It's the kind of job where there's no room for error, and I made lots of them. Since then I've upped my meds a bit, but even thinking about leaving the house has me shaking and sweating.
- My husband received a horrible letter (at his damn work, really!?) from a relative, blaming him for the collapse of his family after his mother had a string of affairs, calling him all kinds of horrible names/things, telling him everyone hates him and thinks he's disgusting and just generally ripping into him! Obviously his family has already fallen to pieces so he;s miserable as it is, and now even more so. I know people have affairs, I know not all relationships work, that's a part of life, but how they came to the conclusion that it's his fault I'll never know! Nothing I can say helps him feel better, and I sort of want to slap the person who sent it, though obviously that won't help. I'm still chuckling though at the suggestion that I've 'always been jealous of his relationship with his mum'. If they only knew how many times I'd tried to get him to reach out t her for his own sake in the past year!
And then online I've had someone post an 'ambiguous' journal calling me out for something that was done with good reason, listing things that I TOLD THEM were the reasons as their 'suspicions of why this has happened.' Well, yeah, it's not a suspicion, I flat out told you that was why, I was also as nice about it as I could be, there was no malicious intent behind anything I did, and I gave them all kinds of rare things as a thank you for everything they had done for me. You forget how stressful running groups can be, but I always try to be kind and fair and make sure there are perks for helpers. If it didn't work out, I'll tell them why ad compensate them for their time. Trying to slate me for being honest and trying to make sure the group is run well and happily/calmly is not how to make me change my mind.
I hate drama, and always aim for transparency to avoid confusion (for example, I've been bullied a lot in my time, so I'm very open about my problems and with others. If I talk about things first, it's not ammo any more, you know?), so a lot of what has been going on lately has stressed me out immensely. I just want a bit of happiness. :(
