Yeah. Got a job as a professional software developer and received other job offers, went to my first con and had a really successful year in school.

Probably going to VancouFur, Anime Rev and Howloween. <3 The summer nights were also SO great, and the time I went food raiding in PoCo with  F0es. I CAN'T PICK ONE.

Mid-terms, finals and random unnecessary stress at work.

Outside throwing multiple fireworks we lit and tied together down the street.

Most of us know that awkward moment when being a furry slips unintentionally, right?

Someone from school found out (don't know HOW in the world) and I got a text at 8:00 in the morning saying I have a problem. Confusing and random... so the guy specified "my furry problem".

OH.

#1: He probably Googled the definition and a bunch of porn showed up. The true meaning and beauty of the fandom was buried deep within the propaganda.
#2: I don't watch and never plan on watching furry porn.
#3: This guy obviously didn't gather enough information to form an educated understanding of furries, and blabbered out his first thought to everyone he knew.

By the time I actually arrived at school 5 others already heard him and it spread around like wildfire, cancer or anything that spreads fast!

Now I'm periodically confronted by a person, who repeatedly tells me:

As an animal rights activist, you need to solve your problem.

The levels of anger were gradually increasing, but I decided not to yell or push anyone. This is exactly why no one tells any one else about this. There is no problem, and ignorant people show up all over you thinking you have a problem.

BAH.

Not going to type a bunch of randomness because none of you guys will read it. Just going to mention some highlights.

Everyone showed up around 2:00ish and that's when the fun got started.

Took part in furry battleship where you to shoot others with nerf guns blindfolded. I was apparently boss at it knocking out 3 people? xD

The furry feud was more or less funny as heck with  aphinity running it. There were times were things didn't go as planned but it all ended with laughs! That was a great event! Now we all know you can burn your tongue with French Fries.

Another awesome thing was FREE CANDY. So need to brush teeth after 9 lollipops.

Got to meet  Sairyswolf in person for the first time. Also  BabyCheetah and some others were there too. Everyone got to see each other during the fursuit games when we all crammed into the ballroom.

SPEAKING OF THE BALLROOM... you can't throw a football in there without:

A) Hitting someone in the nuts.
B) Smashing the chandelier.
C) Have someone film it all.

Going to be so much fun!

Just installed Windows 8 because I got to get it a few hours early. Okay, it is pretty damn awesome overall. The really fluid interface and unity of social media, news, IMs, photos, etc. and pretty much everything else everywhere in the OS and on the start screen is kick @$$. It's more of an enhanced extension of Windows Phone 7.5 on a computer (assuming you're familiar with that). This I think, is finally the first step towards a modern OS.

After using it for a few hours, it really is tailored toward tablets and touch-enabled devices. Windows 8 is still able to run on desktops and laptops, but it's a pain to navigate the Metro UI unless you have a wireless mouse. Using that thing with a touchpad is more annoying than listening to rave music. Also just finished doing a few tests with it...

Lol, I didn't do anything more because I wanted to figure out how to use it.

I can say that, if you're using a tablet, then go out and get it. I haven't tested Photoshop, Vegas Movie Studio, VDJ, Blender or any major creativity software on it yet. I'll tweet about it when they get installed and tested out.

You can still use the traditional desktop UI, but there's no start button. It's weird. No start button. What? I don't know what you do with a tablet, but you have to press start on your physical keyboard to go back to the start screen.

All customization is done by dragging your mouse to the corner of the screen and some settings come up. You can tap or click to go to the control panel, which looks totally different.

You switch "apps", as Microsoft likes to call them now, by dragging the mouse to the other corner of the screen. Apparently you can snap two to the screen and use them at the same time, but I haven't managed to figure out how to do that yet. Exiting apps doesn't make sense. I haven't found time to figure out that either.

Generally, the whole interface is pretty annoying to get used to, but when you get used to it, it's a lot better than Windows 7. The real question is, if all the programs that Windows 7 can run are functional on here, then YAY.

One more thing, when you install it, there's a bunch of hella random flashing colours that give you a seizure. Er mer gerd.

Okay, this is kind of sad.

One friend I've known since grade 1 is a pretty well-behaved guy. Turns out he started doing drugs this week.

Him, his friend and I were outside tonight and they whipped out a pack of something.

Couldn't tell what it was, but it smelled horrible, like a mix of manure, stale farts, and rotten fish.

They offered me some and I said no.

Oh, so now they look at me like an alien from Mars.

Had to stand away from them because the smell of that tobacco was killing me.

You know how "I can't believe this" is a bit of a clichè? Well... this time I literally couldn't believe this. Man BAH. >.>

I don't really know how to start this journal. There's been a recent problem which is really hurting. In my math class we had a lesson on radical equations which no one understood except me. I kept volunteering to solve questions on the board and always got them right.

This led to verbal abuse by 2 people to me multiple times without stopping. It doesn't mean anything because I can't care less about that stuff. After a week of this one strong guy wanted to fight after school. I more or less freaked out about it and a bunch of other people did nothing but observe. The late bus was coming so I outran this guy and luckily got on it.

This isn't the first time verbal bullying has come up. It's been happening for 3 years and I don't know what to do about it. This can turn into fights like it almost happened today. I just need advice on what to do here. :/

This isn't the absolute best, but I'm glad someone (especially on TYT) finally attempted to clear this thing up. It's nice considering almost everyone else jumps on the bandwagon of furry stereotypes particularly for views.

There's a couple of missing points and a few things said wrong, but I like what that woman did nonetheless. She's right that furries have a bad reputation, however, the guy made it seem weirder than it is to void her opinion. Seriously, he's the biggest troll ever. He kind of swayed things around at the end to get everyone talking about sex.

Despite this I think it's good to see others standing up for what furries actually are about. What do you guys think?
