Epic Furry Moment in School
Posted 13 years agoWell, epic may vary depending on a personal definition of this word. Regardless, an awesome event occurred on Friday (coincidently my birthday).
I signed into Chrome on a school computer in S.S. class (last period), which just downloaded all my themes, favourites, add-ins, history, apps, etc. I wanted to do that because there were websites needing to be visited again regarding a project... However, I wasn't aware it would download EVERYTHING.
Now, my S.S. teacher looks at my monitor from across the room and sees the Chrome skin change to anthro animals with Fender holding a Fur Affinity flag. That sucked, because he comes over and asks what I'm doing and what Fur Affinity is in the loudest possible voice. I said it was an art site, then he demands I go to the website.
At this point I got all scared. The librarian looks over her desk and starts smiling like a kid in a candy store, which made me wonder. No more attention, please. >.> I showed my S.S. teacher the Fur Affinity index and other things on it. I logged in and there were FCN submissions, so he asks what it is, and I said it was an art convention. I started going to to the FCN and Anthrocon homepages, then he says it seems to be a pretty specific sort of art. I agreed, which made the librarian join in our conversation.
From here, the librarian started saying I should visit FA (she actually said the abbreviation) in my own time, and not at school. She glanced at the Anthrocon homepage and started smiling so much. My S.S. teacher says to get back to work, but I wasn't even the one who got off track. It was kind of him who made me stop working. :P
I go to my history and open up some websites with information I needed and started taking notes. Being suspicious, I started to watch the librarian go back to her desk. She opens up the Fur Affinity index and LEGIT logs in. I start laughing in my head thinking there's no way the librarian can be a furry.
It was such a neat experience knowing there might possibly be a staff member of my school who is a furry. By the time I finished taking 7 pages of notes with my laptop, the librarian is trying to pre-reg for AC 2012. WHAT??? XD No way.

How Paintballing Went

Okay. *Doesn't take it off.*
Yo, you need to take that sh** off.
Mhm. *Leaves it on* *5 minutes later, plays paintball and films* *Walks back to the desk with it off*
TROLLED. That was my friend, though. :-P
When we actually played, I almost passed out from pain. My friend was on the same team as me but shot me in the arm by mistake. He was RIGHT beside me too, so I got a purple arm which hurt more than anything. I fired back at his butt and that seemed to make us even.
I randomly started firing in the air and hit about 2 people who started yelling "Ow! I'm being shot at!" which drew attention and they got pegged all over with paint. XD
When the referee announced the game was over, I started firing paintballs at another friend in the head about 7-10 times. Lol, his hair looked it it was died yellow. He wasn't hurt though.
The worst part was a guy from my school brought this paintball machine gun that was illegal. It had scope with laser that fired 3 /sec. He went all out shooting at me in the beginning, wasting 100 paintballs. One went directly into my mouth. Sooo gross... He also shot a sharp rock beside me, spraying paint ALL OVER my goggles. Blind! I wiped it off but had no more amo. 3 team members started going machine gun style on him and their tanks went down to 1 PSI and we STILL didn't hit him!
There might be some videos my friend got with his GoPro. I'll see tomorrow. :-P. In short, don't screw with guys who have illegal guns.

It's been a great day. At school my best friend bought me a party size bag of chips and some pop. If you know me, you know I love chips! We went to Save-on-Foods before school and bought about 200g of candy. Awesome! Only awkward thing was 2 of my friends printed a picture of a computer keyboard and decided to stick it on my locker..
it was the wrong locker. X3
When I got home from school we had a mini family party. It was fun to take it easy on Friday. When I opened my gift I almost pissed. It's awesome as heck and I'm currently using it to type this. XD Windows Phone! Nokia Lumia 900 w/ Windows Phone 7.5 OS! It's the best phone ever. Love the interface of the OS and the phone's specs. I also got data so now I don't have to search for Wi-Fi any more with my iPod. :-P Really happy to finally ditch iOS.
Going paintballing tomorrow so I should probably sleep now. My friend is bringing a GoPro so there might be footage. Wee!

Posted 13 years agoThere's been a lot of random obstacles and successes lately. Never really done a personal updates journal before, so I thought I'd do one.
School has been excellent. The report cards came back yesterday and I had a 3.9 GPA with nothing under 93%, except ONE subject. That would be Phys. Ed.. Phys. Ed. keeps bringing my average down and it's getting annoying. Instead of a 96% overall average in my first quarter it was a 94%. BAH! It's actually probably my Phys. Ed. teacher but I don't want to start talking about him behind his back. I shall leave it as this. At least I'm on Principal's List so I'm a happy wuffeh.
Art is something I really want to start doing more of. Unfortunately, school and some unnecessary things have been taking up the time. I can probably start taking commissions when I get faster and stop sucking at shading. Even then, I have no PayPal or any other way to accept money right now. Meh, I'll see what the summer can do. Also might start streaming, but it's scary. XP I also listen to Skrillex all the time so it might irritate people.
Furry conventions! Been to one so far and loved it. Vancoufur 2012 was a ton of fun for the little while I was there. Didn't get a chance to take a lot of photos and footage because I was too busy running around and acting half-drunk off the Monster I had. Really want to go to at least one more before the year is over. Rainfurrest 2012 might be a possibility because of the relitively close location. Anthrocon is not even a consideration; so far! However, my dad has a business trip to Philadelphia but I don't know when. Maybe I can bug my way in and beg him to drive over to Pittsburgh for AC. That is if the date of the trip falls under the AC dates. Still don't think I'll actually go to something as awesome as that quite yet. My finals are also on June 14th and 15th so I'd have to write them early. Nooooo way I'd want to do that. If I could go to AC, then if course I'd write them early.
My birthday is also coming up in 6 days! Yay! That's all that is new... Thanks if you actually read this all. You will get cookies.

-To become a software developer at a big company in the US!!! :D It would be like playing every day. This would also make people's lives easier to live. Look where we where in the 80s and where we are now.
-I also want to change the world to make it a better place to live. How is it that there is an enormous gap between the wealthy and poor? We can't have one person so wealthy they don't know what to do, and other person struggling to survive. Typically, a person's life is determined by the family they are born into. Individuals did not do a thing to be born into the family they are in. The gap should go away and equality should be evident. Furthermore, other countries are more prone to diseases, but not those in North America. Earth should be a place that every single person enjoys regardless of hardships. Bill Gates inspired me to make this a life goal. He not only changed the world in one way by virtually inventing an industry (computer industry), but he also changed the world a second way by disease prevention. India is 99% polio free. I think that's pretty good, don't you? Let's keep going and make it completely free. If North Americans don't have polio as a threat, then neither should Indians. They did nothing to deserve polio. Whoo... that was a long explanation.

-To become a software developer at a big company in the US!!! :D It would be like playing every day. This would also make people's lives easier to live. Look where we where in the 80s and where we are now.
-I also want to change the world to make it a better place to live. How is it that there is an enormous gap between the wealthy and poor? We can't have one person so wealthy they don't know what to do, and other person struggling to survive. Typically, a person's life is determined by the family they are born into. Individuals did not do a thing to be born into the family they are in. The gap should go away and equality should be evident. Furthermore, other countries are more prone to diseases, but not those in North America. Earth should be a place that every single person enjoys regardless of hardships. Bill Gates inspired me to make this a life goal. He not only changed the world in one way by virtually inventing an industry (computer industry), but he also changed the world a second way by disease prevention. India is 99% polio free. I think that's pretty good, don't you? Let's keep going and make it completely free. If North Americans don't have polio as a threat, then neither should Indians. They did nothing to deserve polio. Whoo... that was a long explanation.

April Fool's and FA's Thumbnail System
Posted 13 years agoThis seems entirely pointless. What are we trying to accomplish by fooling others annually? It doesn't benefit society, but it makes individuals look dumb,
scares everyone, and sometimes causes large problems. Lovely! :D I get worried about April 1 every year due to the fact that others would generally be
unthinkably annoying instead of actually fooling me. I don't have too much faith in the future of this generation with the amount of evident nonsense.
Many people I've talked to have the same view. Pointlessness occupies our time as opposed to productivity. Anyway, it's my very first April Fool's in the
fandom, so let's see how that turns out.
In other news, I like how FA's thumbnail system is updated. The submissions have rounded edges when you select them, and they are centred. I'm
aware it caused a variety of problems for other people, but I haven't noticed anything myself. Other than the news feed from the side of the homepage
randomly disappearing, it appears to be favourable.

my first concert and it went very well. I'm at Boston Pizza now having

Skiing and Vancouver Randomness
Posted 13 years agoOn Wednesday I went night skiing on Mt. Seymour. It had perfect weather conditions. No fog, no wind, no snow/hail/rain, lots of sun and not terribly cold.
That was probably the best skiing ever. ^^ Did a few jumps/grinds and got about half a metre of air. It was a little scary but I managed to land and not
screw up. It got dark around 7:00 and all the lights turned on. It would have been such a photo moment, but I forgot my camera. ;~; It was all good
coming home until I dropped my half pound ski boot on a large bag of chips. Sorrowful moment...
Today I derped in Vancouver. Not really doing anything in particular, but just walking around, getting food, English Bay, etc. For dinner there was the Cloud
9 restaurant. It's this 42 level tower that revolves around and makes your ears pop at the top. Afterwards, I brought my dog out and she seemed to like
the big city. The only bad thing was she rolled around in the sand and shook it everywhere.
Spring break needs to be longer... XD

Posted 13 years agoFor everyone it's the weekend. For a few of us, it's spring break. For a lot of us, it's FWA or FE. What is everyone planning on doing? XD
I'm going to be home all of next week so feel free to chat via Skype or Messenger! Probably going to draw in Photoshop and elaborate on C++ for that time.

EA Games
Posted 13 years agoDear Lord. That place is amazing! I left at noon today and just got home now. I was taken on a tour with eight other people from my school.
We first stopped at this room where we got a half-hour presentation. We got free unlimited food which a lot of people liked. XD The guy talked about what goes on here and whatnot. We also saw a film of EA Games putting Rick Murser into a video game. It was pretty hilarious altogether. At the end of that he randomly pulls out a garbage bag and we get free video games. He gave out titles for Windows, Xbox and PS3. There was Mass Effect 3, SSX, Star Wars: The Old Republic, etc. Some were retro old and others were "OMG NO WAY!" types of games.
Afterwards we got a tour of the place. There's at least three cafeterias on every floor. There's also free arcade machines, soccer field and basketball court. Honestly... the architects must have been high when designing the building. It's so complex that it makes no sense. It's the most advanced headquarters I've seen, actually. Google and Microsoft aren't even as elaborate as what I just saw. Sadly, my camera only had the power to record us derping on the bus. *facepaw*
Before going, we listened in on this meeting about a Battlefield 3 DLC. [Insert epic face here]
I have a few videos and they should be on YouTube soon...
