Help with my tablet
General | Posted 11 years agoHey all, i thought i could ask here if anybody has ideas to solve my problem...
Since i changed my laptop it has been having trouble with my pen tablet. Not every single time but very often, once i plug it in and open photoshop it won't recognize the pressure function. If i try to open the config panel, i get a message saying my driver is out of date and i should reboot. I checked and it is very much up to date.
What i usually do to solve this is reinstall the pen tablet driver, close photoshop, unplug tablet, then plug back and it usually works. If not, i reboot the computer and it does.
As you guess this is bugging me, cause i'm tired of losing 10 minutes whenever i want to draw something. Anybody got the same thing and managed to get rid of the bug?
My config:
- DELL Inspiron 17 with Win 8.1 64bit
- Wacom Bamboo Fun CTE-450
- Adobe Photoshop CS6 extended (version 13.0.1 x64) -- could also be this because i changed both laptop and PS at the same time

Good and bad news

Just a quick heads-up to tell you that i'm still alive. I've been busy for 3 intensive weeks of work, including one on the other side of the country, far away from any relatives during my birthday, ugh. I had a good time though, but life carried me away from TF and this lovely place. So, the good news is that i'm back now that the work storm has passed.
However, there is a bad news.... my laptop died. Rip. Graphic card failure or something like that, black screen and loudy beeps. The doctor said it's non-curable. As you guessed it quickly becomes chinese language to my ears when someone tries to speak nerdish to me, so i won't try to save it myself neither. I'm using an ooold one right now that barely manages to run Firefox (after an update from v3.1 to the current v32.0.3 !). Of course i won't be able to draw on that, and i'll have to get a new one. Eeeek windows 8... i already regret 7. Anyway. Good news in this bad story is, i managed to save my data, so the WIP files are safe (along with all my TF folders and the more important work stuff).
So i apologize for the lack of recent news or update, and here's hope that i'll soon manage to work on part 3 of my ongoing sequence. It was already with ink and flat colours when all that happened, so won't be long once i get a new machine.

I have no idea where that came from, but i noticed today that my watchlist grew larger by a dozen new people overnight! Usually there's one or two watchers who add me each week, so nothing like this and out of nowhere... Especially since i didn't really show any sign of activity recently. Of course i won't complain! (and there are even a couple great artists among them new watchers). I was just wondering why i'm suddenly feeling so watched... but heh, thank you guys and thanks everybody!! :3

Recent art and future projects
General | Posted 11 years agoOkay i want a new journal. But i don't like talking about my life, and i don't think i'm so important that you absolutely all need to know whatever is going on... so i'll just say a few random words about my recent art and future projects.
First, thankyou all for the postive feedback on my latest TF piece! It's been cooking for a long time and i'm finally happy with how it came out... at least for now. Looking back at my old donkey image i really don't like how i made those changing hooves (and other things, on other older works). There is always room for improvement and i definitely still need to improve. Anyway i'm glad you enjoy this picture. :3
This was an important piece for me to do for several reasons, the first one being that it's my first woman to horse drawing and i've been enjoying this type of transformation quite a lot lately. Also because it has a bit of a backstory that i'd like to tell... someday... as a story. Well, not really just the story of this one poor girl being changed into a mare (even though i hope i get to write it), but the general universe it is set up in. As i've told to some of you i'd love to create my own original characters and universe, as a source of inspiration for myself and possibly others. Oh i don't expect or aim at a completely original and amazing world or anything, rather just a setup for more TF that fit my tastes really, and i want to try myself at writing stuff in English. I did some in French that was not related to TF at all, and i've done some interesting RPs, but no real original story yet.
So this drawing "Point of No-Return" introduces the first element of this universe, which is the facility where this girl gets transformed.
The first story i'm most likely going to write will not take place in this facility actually, but will introduce some characters, of course contain transformation (that's such a spoiler i know), and other aspects that i'm interested in such as hypnosis, love, free submission... It might be a long story to tell and i hope it will be interesting enough. As always, don't expect it tomorrow. I just posted that here to "formalise" my aim and eventually get myself to doing it.
In the meantime i won't skip drawing of course!! I have so many ideas for TF drawings i'd like to do... I wish i had more time and i was more productive on that matter, but thank you guys for supporting my slow-mo' ass! ^^

Commission Info

First of all, thankyou if reading that journal title gave you tingles of excitation or anything like that... but what follows might be frustrating:
►► I do not take commissions whatsoever.
I figured I'd make a journal to explain about this, since I've recently got a couple PMs asking about it (...also to give a new sign of life!). There are several reasons why I don't accept commissions:
1.- I'm not a professional artist, have a job that sometimes takes me more than 24 hours a day, so I don't need it while some other artists do.
2.- I work extremely slowly compared to most artists. I suppose I'm a stickler. Whenever I post anything I end up finding it could have been better. Accepting commissions if I can't do them in a timely fashion would be a source of headaches. Working under pressure wouldn't make it better... and I'm not talking about just deadline pressure, because...
3.- ...I am very very very selective as to what I like to draw or not. It might be selfish, but that's a fact: I draw for myself first. Someone else's idea would have to fit exactly with what I like, for me to feel like drawing it. And even that depends on my mood...
4.- Last but not least, TF art is a fetish for me and animal transformation turns me on quite a lot. No big news for you maybe, but there is actually nobody I have ever met in person who knows about this side of me. Including my Beloved One. I always draw and search TF art very secretely, only when I'm on my own, in a private place, during free time, and when I'm in the mood (...and not too much "in the mood" because that'd be counterproductive *blush*). So yeah, I keep it very intimate, which might explain a bit of the 3 previous points too. And no thanks, I don't plan to change that.
That being said, I always feel honoured when commissioners think of me, but sorry guys I just won't put that kind of money on the table. ;)

A source of inspiration?

Although I can't thank personally everybody who faves my work, I try to shout a thankyou on each and every new watcher my art draws to this page, and I reply every comment I may get. Every time it feels good, just to know that you appreciate what I'm doing.
Well, rencently things have been taken one step further.
The great TF writer
darkcousin found my art so inspiring that he wrote stories about them! They give a whole new life to the pictures, and this... I lack words to say how gratifying it feels. All the more as his stories are wonderfully well written! They are based on the pics I did with the same names:

General | Posted 13 years agoWell I am technically not new here (although I can't believe my FA registration date *blinks*). Yet I've remained pretty absent from this part of the Internet since then. Time for changes! Some things made me want to move on, and I guess you guys know how much I love changes, so...
I'll be uploading on this page whatever new stuff I draw or paint from now on.
Now I won't produce a new pic a day... TF art is something I do for myself and only when I have privacy, which is not always compatible with my personal real-life. Which is finally going very well. But you know I don't like to talk about it. And I may be going off-topic here... Sooo, yes I want to draw again. I've met some wonderful people here in a relatively short time and I'm all excited by these new beginnings. ^^

*Do I take commissions? -No thanks.
*Will I do more photomanips? -Not intended.
*When will I update my old DA page? -I guess I won't. Consider it archive until I decide to remove it (if I do).
Um. I realize this sounds pretty negative, but for all of this I have my reasons... And feel free to ask anything else, I'll most probably answer -I'm not a tigress! :3
