Anyone check this movie out?

I watched it a few hours ago. The trailer looked amazing but the movie was... just awful. I was so disappointed.

It was basically just 'Stupid people doing stupid shit and guns: the Movie'. I got so bored because it was so predictable and it was cliche after cliche and then it was just suddenly over. The ending fell flat, the plot twist was terrible but at least somewhat foreshadowed. It had moments of brief redemption because you get so sick of the bad guys and it's great seeing them go down. It was still a terrible movie, regardless.

And then there were some tacked on moments that were completely unnecessary and you can tell the writer did not know what the fuck they were going to do for the rest of the movie. The daughter's boyfriend's subplot that lasted all of ten minutes and made almost no impact on the entirety of the movie. The trailer is pretty misleading, because the plot is so simple and kind of stupid that I can see why they wouldn't let those kind of details get shown in the trailer (like a few other movies that have been doing this lately, slowly looks at Brave).

Anyway, terrible disappoint of a movie. If you still plan to see it, do not go in with high expectations. If you like cheap thrillers with people's faces and heads getting smashed and shot, then this movie is for you.

Ahh, I've never had a journal entry with so many comments and opinions, though I guess it was expected since it's a pretty big topic for a lot of people.

I managed to read all of the comments left here and they really did open my eye to the idea. I can't explain it myself and why I seem to have an uncommon opinion about it, but I definitely understand it better.

I made Orion back when I was only 13 years old. (I guess that means Orion's 10th birthday is close, haha) but I never made him to be a part of me. Some of his personality traits are loosely based off of my own, but I wouldn't consider Orion to be an extension of myself. To me, he's just a character, but he's a character that I created and spent many years thinking about and putting thought into. I have an attachment to him, in that sense.

And about the names, I don't necessarily have a problem with anyone calling me Orion. I just feel like if I get to be pretty good friends with you, it'd be more personal, so I'd be comfortable being called by my actual name. It seems like a lot of people here don't actually like their real names. It's opposite for me, I love my name to death! I'd definitely prefer being called by my actual name, but I'm not against being called something else if it' easier to remember or if I'm at some kind of furry event. Very understanble.

I really appreciate all the comments though, it was great seeing so many views on the subject!

I had a conversation with my good bud  Tielhawk a few weeks ago about this, sort of.

Well, it was more about calling each other by our 'fursona' names. It was a funny back and forth because we both had opposite views on it.

I always considered our representative fursona's names to just be aliases. I would most likely call someone on FA by whatever name their character goes by, but if I actually became their friend, I'd drop that name and actually call them by their real names, if they were okay with that.

I am aware that users here do call each other by their fursona names regardless, and I was just curious about the reasoning behind it. Most of my FA friends I didn't actually meet from FA, so we all kind of go by the same idea that I believe in. We always call each other by our real names. I'd actually find it really weird if anyone called me 'Orion' offline.

I don't really consider Orion to be an extension of myself. At least, not anymore, I guess. I'm actually making a character that is closer to myself, and he's a tibetan mastiff~ I need to finish designing him @_@

But anyway, thoughts? Opinions? I'm really curious.

Any fans out there catch the series finale?

The hour special was friggin' great and nostalgic, so many memories. The actual finale was slow at first but really picked up around the wedding. My friends and I were cheering when Micheal made a surprise appearance, it was frikkin' magical. Could not stop smiling like a faggot. The ending was perfect, that's all I can say. Despite the last two seasons being mostly shitty, the ending was perfect.

Needless to say, after it was finally over, I felt pretty empty. Like saying goodbye to a life-long friend. My friends and I have been watching that show forever, always going to each other's houses and watching new episodes. I'm gonna miss this show.

LET'S BE HONEST. I bet a lot of people were only interested because of the werewolf guy in the trailer. Actually, when I realized it was made by the same people that did Summer Wars and The Girl that Leapt Through Time, I was actually pretty excited about it.

Anyway, I just finished watching it and it did not disappoint in the slightest. They made ANOTHER good movie. The visuals were beautiful and the story was really sweet and a little heartbreaking. I definitely recommend everyone go and watch it 0_0

My close friend  nushaa's boyfriend last year was in a major car accident that caused him to lose most of his fingers on his dominant hand.
