My phone does not like Fur Affinity. At all. Yeesh.

Unfortunately, I had a lot of things get damaged while I was staying at my parents due to my family not respecting my property and treating it poorly. Other things were thrown out behind my back. It was just a very toxic situation. I'm glad to be out of it, but some of the damaged and discarded items were commission work, which I've since had to remake.

I'm in the process of getting everything set up now that I'm back home. I've also managed to get my son into daycare so I have a little more free time then I once did. I'm working towards having bariatric surgery later this year so I have a bunch of doctors appointments coming up in the next few months to get ready for.

I'm going to start uploading more commission work on to Fur Affinity as well. It takes a little time to get the digital files ready for display, so bear with me.

Getting my butt kicked by some sort of virus at the moment. Hard to breathe, hard to swallow, and the muscle pains have been bad.

I'm insane. Two cons back to back? BRING IT. I'm fighting pregnancy fatigue and headaches and trying to work to make this happen. Yes, I said that I'm pregnant. For those who don't know, I'm 13 weeks along.

I really want to make FWA work. I promised myself last year that if I got a car, I'd do my best to do. Along with that, past March I'm not sure what my convention schedule will be like. My due date is August 15, and I more than likely won't be at Anthrocon or FA:U this year because I will be very far along and traveling may not be a good idea that close.

I'll be opening up for commissions in order to ease the financial stress. I have a laminator so that I can make badges now, and I'm always up for pinups, character portraits, reference sheets, and more. More than likely, it'll only be traditional art that I'll open up for but we'll see if my old tablet works.

Less than a week until I move! I'm so excited but there's still so much to do!

I am in desperate need of extra hands to help myself and my dad move on the 27th. Yes, I know it's Furbowl. I'm hoping to have every thing moved before 5pm. The good news is that there isn't a lot of furniture. I have a futon or two (one is small), a dresser, and a desk.

I'm going to start acquiring boxes and get a good chunk of my art supplies and books over to the new place during the week.

Please everyone, if you can help, let me know. My dad is in his 60's and has a bad back. He can only lift so much. He's being nice enough to transport the furniture. And yes, it's not a lot, but the less my dad has to lift, the better. He's the type that will push himself even if it's not good for him. The more hands I can gather, the faster we can get this done!

That said, I will be at Furbowl (still figuring out a way back to downtown Newark...) and I'm hoping to get to Cici's too!

I'm typing this on my iPhone, so bare with me.

I must say, Fur the More was an awesome time. For a first year convention, I was impressed with what the staff put together. There was a lot of different spaces- nothing felt too crammed together.

I arrived to Baltimore on Thursday, and spent the night with the lovely  Ariella and  neurotichyena. Ticky and I spent a good chunk of the night working on stuff for the con. She was nice enough to help me make a theme badge for the convention (I have a habit of doing that the eve of a con, haha).

We left on Friday afternoon, and although we left later than originally planned, we still got there around 3:30 PM. I pretty much dashed inside to find  miltoniusprime since he had been waiting for us to check in so that he could finish getting situated. I was pretty much freaking out about my panel by this point. It was my first one ever, and I was so nervous!

The panel went... okayish? I made due with having a setup that I didn't anticipate for. I see where I could do better in the future. I had asked my friend Reaver to grab me a Shocktop from the free kegs since my panel was right at 7. And then, when I hadn't even finished my first beer, in walks  techwolf with a Yuengling for me! I don't know who told him to bring it for me, but thank you!

After the panel, I hung out with Milt for the rest of the night. I don't think we ended up turning in until about 3 AM or so. Slightly early for both of us given our respective schedules but we were worn out.

Ari and Ticky got up kind of early on Saturday because of Ticky's panel. Milt managed to get down to the con space before me. I realized when I got downstairs that I missed getting into the poker tourney! So bummed!

I had ended up at the bar earlier in the day, thinking back on it, talking with Kitt3ns while he was there. Ran into Jasper before that. I pretty much wandered between the game room and merchants room for a while before my impromptu workshop that Sparf was kind enough to add last minute. We moved it to the zoo so that we had tables. Very laid back atmosphere. After that, it was to the bar with Ticky and Ari! I hadn't hung out with the girls much outside of the room so back to the bar I went! After awesome drinks, it was back to the game room for more chill time! I ended up laying underneath a table with my ORIGINAL Nintendo DS, playing Final Fantasy III and watching Milt play Rock Band.

Reaver came to join me for a bit under the table, with drinks (Tablecon!). I eventually sent Reaver back up after an hour and a half of so. I eventually had to take him on the elevator and kick him out of it to get him to stay upstairs (<3 you, mutt!).

I stayed to hang out with Milt again until about 5 AM this time? I went to bed before him so I can't quite remember when I dozed off upstairs.

Sunday was checking out and going to the Charity Auction. I bid against Ari on some cyberlox and tails, which made her scream out "BITCH" in the most comically cute way! She felt bad after but I was laughing about it. I let her win the lot. Ticky, Ari and I left around the middle of the feedback panel since she was beat and we had to drop their friend Archadia home. Milt nabbed me from Ticky and Ari's a few hours later, as he was gracious to host me for a night so that I could travel home Monday. Sunday night was full of youtube vids, watching him play some cool (and in one case, extremely crazy and hilarious) games, and me loving up on his black cat. Because I love black cats.

Anyways, very laid back times until he dropped me off at the Greyhound station on Monday. It took me about 3.5 hours to get from Baltimore to my parents so that I could catch up on sleep for work on Tuesday AM.

Overall, a very enjoyable weekend. Thank you to Milt, Ticky, and Ari for being amazing. Thanks also to those who came to my panels. There were a few of you who said that the info I gave was helpful. I feel relieved and glad that I could provide some new tools and ideas to you. Also, thank you to the wonderful staff, merchants, and everyone else I interacted with at  furthemore for relaxed conversation and being helpful.

I finally have a "new" computer! I say "new" because most of the parts are five years old. However, they were top tier parts when they came out, so I have a pretty decent rig. New case, new harddrive (which I already had), and a new DVD-RW drive. My friend hooked me up just in time, because the laptop is virtually unusable until I can find someone to fix the usb ports.

As far as my life goes, I'm still in therapy and I've begun medication in the past month. I'm trying to keep busy. Looking over my finances, I need to begin buckling down on my expenses. It's way past time, but for those who know me well, it's not easy. I'm a complete shopaholic. I think I'm going to re-apply for Foodstamps so that I can actually buy groceries instead of fast food or delivery when I'm at the apartment.

I also need some help with my car shopping. I've been browsing and there's vehicles in both Pennsylvania and Maryland that are catching my eye. I'm appalled by how little I'm finding in Delaware (northern, at least). If anyone doesn't mind coming with me or checking out the cars for me I would appreciate the help. My goal is to eliminate one or two of my credit card balances so that I can afford the car payments and insurance.

My birthday is coming up in just a couple days (January 14th). I'm so excited.

Since I'll be working on my birthday (it's on a Monday this year), I've decided to do a birthday celebration of sorts at this upcoming Delaware Furbowl on January 26. Last year, I had a Nyan Cat birthday cake. T'was awesome. I'm undecided on what I'm bringing this year but I'll have some goodies on hand if all goes well.

I'm actually spending most of today by myself. I opted out of going to my parents, however it's not like the holidays are any big thing anymore.

I always feel weird writing in these journals because I don't think many people read them or care about what's in them.

I've started cleaning my craft and cosplay room at my parents, and my space at the apartment is slowly coming together too. Yay.

I'm going camping with some other Furst State members this weekend. It'll be interesting to see Cape Henlopen again. I'm thinking about bringing my watercolors and doing some studies while I'm down there. It's been too long since I've used those paints and it's something I do like to do.

I find that I have a hard time getting started on new artwork unless I have the right musical inspiration. I'm attempting to overcome this obstacle. I need to push myself beyond my comfort limits. Even if I'm not happy with the results, it's progress, right?

Anthrocon was awesome. I had minor amounts of drama and my weekend just kept getting better. I was in the 19th floor party room and a lot of awesome peeps came out.

I also ran my first video game tournament this year, for Blazblue. I was worried initially because internet at the Westin sucked hardcore and I couldn't update the PS3 before the tournament, but someone had a 360 with the full set up and let me run the tournament on it. So yay!

I'm thinking about running more than just Blazblue next year. I'm pondering even busting out Guilty Gear (and it's cool soundtrack) and offering up some of my awesome Guilty Gear swag (if only you knew how awesome). I'm gonna definitely be placing out feelers a few months before next year's AC just to see what I bring to the table for tournament play.

Sunday was definitely a highlight for various reasons. The Dead Dog party hosted in our room was amazing. I did leave it early though - opting to hang out with a pretty cool person I had gotten acquainted with on Saturday, so I apologize if I didn't get a chance to say bye to everyone who came out. I heart you guys and gals!

Figured I'd post an update on the exciting life of Amaretto.

As some of you know, I'm living for the most part up in the Newark area now. I have been since early June. Now, we were supposed to get a place with two friends in October. Then this past Tuesday, they tell me that they've found a place, but there's an occupancy limit of 5, therefore my roommate Sapphy and I are the one's that can't go with them. To say I was upset was the least of it - I felt like I was being pushed back to my parents. So I was scared and crying, trying to figure some other options.

Two people came through with potential options. They are both in New Jersey, but are with people who are very nice. One even offered to help me beyond just providing a bedroom to rent. I had also talked to my mom about my situation and explained my point of view, and by the end of the conversation I felt a little more at ease about possibly staying at their place for a month or two to allow me to pay off my debt a little easier. Which is good because it's a sign to me that the space apart has helped.

I felt better overall....then today I get news that my roommates may not be moving anymore afterall. My mind did a complete 360. So the living situation has been causing me a good deal of stress as I try to figure out where I will be living.

While the confusion over my living situation is going on, I've been trying to get a car. Regardless of where I go, I need one. I like to travel and randomly get out of the house. Plus, I don't get to see the City of Brotherly Love (Philadelphia) and all my friends (and more than friends ;P) as much as I would like because I can't drive to them.

I'm sad because this blue Honda Civic at a dealer's in Townsend sold right before I could get in there to look at it in person. It was beautiful... Usually I will go for red, black and purple for colors, but I've come to find that my aversion to blue has become a liking for it. I really love deep, bright blues. Rich blue pearls and deep sapphires.

So yeah, if I'm a little more depressed than usual....that's why.

For those who don't know me very well, I love music. A lot. I adore rock and metal, pop and electronic styles, classical violins intertwined with an electric guitar and synth beat. I even listen to video game music, which got me interviewed by AOL/ AOL Radio for an industry magazine.

That said, I'm very behind on trying to listen to certain artists. I just downloaded and listened to my first Nightwish song (Nemo, which I love btw).

I want some suggestions on where to start or continue. I'm interested in Nightwish (new and old) and Sonata Artica ( I believe I have "Reckoning Night" but where should I go next in their disography?). Anyone else I should start listening to? I really do love most anything, with the exception of most country. I say 'most' because I like a song or two from 'Sugarland' and 'Kellie Pickler'.

Well, I'm 99.5% sure that I am. I'm in talks with a good friend and her roomies. I'm excited because I'll be above the C&D Canal (which divides New Castle County at the lower third) and as such, will be much closer to all my Pennsylvania peeps! For anyone who has driven down to my parents, my new home will shave about 30-45 minutes off the trip when coming from points north like Philly and Wilmington. Yay!

I will have things to sell, things to give away, and things that I will need help moving. It's going to be stressful since I -don't- have a car yet, but it'll work out. Gotta keep positive.

So this month has been crazy. Lots of concerns with money, and my health insurance is going bye-bye on April 30th, even though I gave the State Services Center all the information that they requested. I need to go protest that tomorrow.

My friend Sunshadow had her birthday party this past Saturday. I had so much fun and I met a lot new awesome peeps. It was nice getting to see a lot of friends again too.

I'm trying to get myself together and prepare to move out. It's scary, and I don't have my parent's support for various reasons, but I feel like it needs to happen sometime soon. I worry about how my parent's will get by but I can't live with them forever.
