Well, I did it.
Posted 8 years agoAs you may have seen a month ago, I pledged to post at least one thing a day all month long, to clear some of my unposted art backlog.
I made 73 posts in October, about 2.35 per day, on average. Some of them were even multiple pictures in one submission!
I wrote something for almost every one of the submissions, be it a poem or a miniscene, a ministory, or a full story. All in all, that ended up totaling almost exactly 75,000 words.
And I still have about 50 pieces of artwork left to post, not to mention the large handful of stories I need to write and post that will go with things I've already posted (this never got any story at all, for example: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/25138088/ ), or stories that will be continuations of narratives I began with a pic+story combo this month.
For example, I started by showing the merger here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/25219408/ but I still want to show what can be done with that new spiderfrog body. >:}

I know that it was a bit much for all of you to all look at, but I have to say, I felt a little underwhelmed as the month went on.

This implies, of course, that snakecocks are double good.
Everyone also knows that Amethystine is an amazing writer, yes?
And everyone knows that long stories by amazing authors are good.
And of course everyone knows that transformation is good.
It is also an undisputed fact that unconventional body layouts are good.
So how does a novel-length story by Amethystine about snakecocks, transformation, and generally weird body plans sound? Quadruple good, no? Maybe even quintuple good? How about you go give this a look and decide for yourself?
So I've been reading this lately (full disclosure: Amethystine gave me a copy to review free of charge) and I have to say, it really is excellent. I have no complaints about the writing style, which is (as is usual for Amethystine) excellent, and my one and only complaint would be the inclusion of several turn-offs of mine, but of course that same part I would complain about would be someone else's favorite part; "there's something for everyone" really does apply here.
Of course the focus is snakecocks, but there are many many different variations on that theme in the story, keeping it interesting the whole way through. Amethystine explores a vast space of possibilities--if you're thinking "well I wonder if he included this snakecock-themed idea" then chances are the answer's yes. Yes, even that. There have been several cases as I read it where I thought "surely this isn't going in that direction..." followed by "oh, well, I guess it did."
It starts out fairly tame (as tame as the daily life of a gargoyle and her snakecock can be, anyway) and gets progressively weirder and weirder as it goes on.
Overall, absolutely would recommend.

Taonas: [WARNING, SOME SLIGHT, MINOR SPOILERS AHEAD]
I appreciated the entire first part that introduced the twins to the reader. Without part one, this could just simply be an incredibly long orgy story. I always appreciate it when writers put character development into the story so that it isn't just mindless pleasuring. If I can get to know the characters, then I can become more immersed in the story. I could almost put myself into Pylt's or Poke's position in the story. Admittedly, I preferred Poke's position, because, cocksnake! ^.^
The title of the story: at first I took it as them trying to fit into society. By the end, it seemed to have a double meaning, which included the above and possibly referring to all of the people physically fitting into certain orifices. Either way, quite fitting.
The ending was mind-blowing, and I'm not just talking about people being converted into cum and then being blown across the room. For a little while there, I was a bit disappointed that Pylt and Poke hadn't transformed at all while everyone else around them went through every conceivable CTF imaginable. When they did start transforming, it just got better and better.
The story did get pretty crazy there at the end, but I like crazy. I can only imagine how much pleasure would be felt by dozens of people sharing the intense feeling of orgasming in that situation. I was pleased that it was all reversible in the end. I think I also sympathized with how hard the twins had it in their original form and could only imagine how the world would react to all of those conjoined people from the party rejoining society.
Great story, well worth the money, and definitely worth a couple more read-throughs once I recover from the first encounter. If I could, I would definitely visit that party without hesitation and without care of what form I leave in. This has inspired me to try and write my own cocksnake transformation story, even if it won't be anywhere near as amazing or as long.
So yea, 10 out of 10 rating, definitely the book to read if you want to know what it's like to be a serpentine shaft capable of making all the males jealous.

Yesterday, on December 15th, 2005, I signed up for this new site here (I mean Fur Affinity), and I got used to all the features and everything.. and so I went to bed and..
and..
today, I got up and.. WHAT THE FUCK
WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK HAPPENED?!??!
First off, I wasn't in the same house. I'm in some weird apartment with all this stuff.. but it looks like my stuff, but there's more of it, I guess? (it's all pretty cool actually, it's like a won a big contest, or lottery and don't remember?)
And then I realized I was older! I _am_ older!
And then I finally took note of the calendar. It's ten years later. I'm freaking out. What happened?
I've spent all day trying to figure things out. I have no memory of the last ten years. Apparently I've been on this site for the whole time, though? And I guess I hang out with this really pale mantis girl a lot????? O: (that's actually looking really cool, I have to say @__@ )
I'm hoping some of the friends I seem to have on here can help explain what's going on. Did this happen to anyone else on here? I remember a lot of people talking about signing up for this site. And there's this LEGO MOVIE here?? how the heck did that ever happen? And don't even get me started on all the games.. I only JUST got my xbox 360 like a month ago, and now.. just wtf. My thought about how I really liked achievements was right, it looks like I've been getting them for ten years straight @__@

Yesterday, on December 15th, 2005, I signed up for this new site here (I mean Fur Affinity), and I got used to all the features and everything.. and so I went to bed and..

today, I got up and.. WHAT THE FUCK

First off, I wasn't in the same house. I'm in some weird apartment with all this stuff.. but it looks like my stuff, but there's more of it, I guess? (it's all pretty cool actually, it's like a won a big contest, or lottery and don't remember?)
And then I realized I was older! I _am_ older!
And then I finally took note of the calendar. It's ten years later. I'm freaking out. What happened?
I've spent all day trying to figure things out. I have no memory of the last ten years. Apparently I've been on this site for the whole time, though? And I guess I hang out with this really pale mantis girl a lot????? O: (that's actually looking really cool, I have to say @__@ )
I'm hoping some of the friends I seem to have on here can help explain what's going on. Did this happen to anyone else on here? I remember a lot of people talking about signing up for this site. Maybe all of us were put into some kind of experimental program? I must have lived through these years, somehow..
Speaking of friends on here, they seem cool, it looks like I should be glad to have them, if only I remembered meeting and getting to know them D:
Oh! AND! I found a diploma! FROM A COLLEGE COURSE I WAS ONLY JUST PLANNING ON ENROLLING IN, in what I remember as being two years from now, in 2007?!?!
And I found an old work uniform. I worked at Blockbuster? GUYS I LOOKED IT UP, BLOCKBUSTER DOESN'T EXIST ANYMORE, WHAT DID I DO? What did WE do? (the internet I mean >__> )

I was here when the only comment was Thanatos' first one. I considered hiding it, but I didn't want to be a thoughtless censor. I considered replying, but I figured anything I would say would only lead to needless debate, but now that there is one, and since I refuse to just whitewash it by hiding everything, I'll weigh in.
An artist's personal life and choices and likes and dislikes should not matter, in the grand scheme of things. Sure, you wouldn't want to support someone if they were a known criminal or something else, but this is a choice of websites. It's a personal preference thing, it's not a big deal.
The fur/anthro fandom is supposed to be super inclusive and tolerant, let's not get bent out of shape about WHICH fur sites are being used by people.
As for disagreeing with artists but still enjoying and supporting their work: Is VD's art good? That should be the only question here.
For example, I listen to a podcast and the host is intelligent, well-read, well-traveled, worldly, pro-minority rights, pro-women's rights, pro-education, anti-war (but pro-troops/veterans, see how that works?), anti-corporation/bankers/the 1%.. (I mean the bankers that caused the financial collapse of 2008 and have not seen any jailtime or disciplinary action at all) ...and he also loves vodka, smoking, and drugs. I don't partake in drinking or smoking or drugs, but I don't dislike this podcast or its host because of those few choices. The stories he tells are still funny, even when they're ABOUT the things I don't agree with him on, or wouldn't do myself.
Also, VD/Namiin was quite happy to see me posting this journal, I showed it to faer via twitter. If fae was some kind of vile person with an axe to grind and hate to spew about FA, fae would have expressed scorn at being advertised on here.

Posted 12 years agoEDIT: Apparently, it was a combination of a torte http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torte and (a) tartufo! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tartufo
I recently purchased a Torte, which is basically a fancy cake. I admired the fact that the company was, apparently, called 'Elite Sweets'.. but I think it would have been better as "The Sweet Elite", so there wouldn't be the plural/non-plural miss-match in the rhyme.
Anyway, it was one of their "Tortetufo" line, the Chocolate & Banana one. It was excellent, an awesome dessert. But the real amazing thing, the reason I'm making a journal (instead of just telling a select friend or two in private, as I thought I might), was the product description on the label.
It read as follows:
"Rich chocolate mousse with a banana mousse center atop a moist chocolate layer covered with real chocolate ganache topped with banana buttercream rosettes and a chocolate fan. Chocolate shavings finish the bottom edge."
It's run-on and so excessively detailed and entirely devoid of commas and kinda repetitive with the word chocolate (as it kinda has to be), which just makes it sound more and more and more decadent, rather than the poor grammar making me dislike it. The sentence is kind of a hilarious roller coaster, is my point.

This morning at work, someone asked me what kind of cake I like the most.. and another co-worker asked me about my age. Such odd questions!
Upon arriving home from work, I received two cards in the mail from family members. In the cards, there were messages that made references to a specific date, tomorrow, March the 6th.
Curiouser and curiouser!

I heard about it when
Bouclier came up with it back during Shark Week and Fat Bunny week (I think that's when he came up with it, anyway).
While I approve of the idea of promoting snakes in general, I kinda feel like I'm doing that 52 weeks out of the year in the first place, so.. I don't know. I'm kinda indifferent to it all.
I guess I feel like.. Snake Week, if it were to become a quote-unquote "real thing," would be the one time of year during which everyone else catches up with me and the pro-snake agenda/vibe I'm constantly trying to exude.
Perhaps this is similar to when you hear someone say: "The spirit of Christmas is to be kind to one's fellow man, a season of good cheer and giving and generosity in general. Why can't we all just be like this all year long?" -- Except I'm saying it now, about celebrating snakes: 'Why can't we all just show copious amounts of love for serpents all year long?'
Of course, we know that those Christmas idealists are being unrealistic, and so too would I be, if I said that.
Anyway, maybe I'm just jealous that I didn't come up with Snake Week first. :P
Or: I need to think outside my own perspective. I may be on the snake bandwagon 24/7, but there are certainly people who aren't, but are close to joining the fold. So if you're coil-curious and think you might have latent loopy, lengthy leanings, now is the time to experiment, now is the time to reach out and see what those glossy scales feel like on your skin or on your fur (or as those smooth plates replace said flesh altogether), experience the power of a python's body.. either by entering that exotic embrace or by becoming blessed with a boa's body yourself! See what it's like to feel those fearsome fangs in your face -- one way or the other. >:}===<

Posted 13 years agoJust so you all know, that series I posted earlier this evening IS over for at least a month or more. You don't have to hold your breath for "Ame's Revenge" or anything.
I'm making this journal because both myself and Rhylith (& Torri) are finding it odd that such a big, kinky submission is garnering such little verbal response. Is it too weird to respond to? Are you all busy fapping?! :P Were you all not sure where or when to reply? Just do what I do and respond to the last part of the series, responding to the whole thing at once. We'd love to hear what people think Ame should do to teach the horny hydra a lesson. We have our own ideas already, of course, but that doesn't mean we wouldn't or couldn't incorporate yours.
I don't know, it just seems strange to us. Maybe it would have been better to keep the art all stuck together in a collage, and the story in one long piece, rather than cut up as it was. Or was the story too light on the details concerning the portions portrayed in the pictures? Like I said, I was doing something different this time. Something quicker! *shrugs*
Ah well. I'm probably just not giving it enough time.

Go on and see if she does stuff you like!
Also, to drum up attention to actually get hired for said commissions by the community, she's been doing what's become the Holy Grail around here: Free Art Streams. (!!!)
So, maybe you'll check those out, maybe you'll get free art, maybe you'll find it SO CUTE, that you'll donate to the exotic reptile rescue, or just throw money at a poor, jobless artist. :<
