DA Glitch?
Posted 6 months agoI just went to DA only to see that I'm logged out. I go to log in, and it doesn't let me. I got to my page, and I'm greeted with a 404 page, and the same goes for any link to anything I've posted.
But I'm not the only one; every page I've visited whose username starts with A, B, or a number leads to a 404 page now. I really, really hope this is some kind of glitch, and that there isn't something more malicious going on...

Another rare snow day
Posted 7 months agoIt's been snowing a good bit today. I've rarely experienced snow in my life, because everywhere I've lived, the winters are usually too warm for it. The last time I experienced snow was from Winter Storm Leon back in 2014 (which I have photos of posted on DA.)
New Year 2025
Posted 8 months ago2024 wasn't really that eventful for me, though at least I didn't experience a series of bad events, like in 2023.

One year since my mom's passing
Posted a year agoAnd it still feels like it only happened yesterday.
New Year 2024
Posted a year ago2023 wasn't all that great for me, with the passing of my mother being the worst thing to happen, followed by the sudden death of my sibling's cat about half a month later (and still not knowing why.)
Then there's the stupidity of the people running YT and FA, leaving my futures of using those sites feeling uncertain to this day. And of course, DA being a bunch of prudes and deleting a harmless pic, that made me decide to stop posting my art there completely.
And all the other things that didn't personally affect me, but are still really bad, and make the future look bleak.
I would say good things about 2024, but due to past experiences, I don't want to jinx myself again.

Posted 2 years agoI just got a notification that my Nude Buster and Babs pic was deleted there for violating policies, despite that pic not even being explicit in any way.
That's it; I've had it with that shithole of an art site, and won't be posting my art there anymore. The staff there are a bunch of prudish, hypocritical art nazis that want to watch their site burn.

My mother passed away
Posted 2 years agoI got the news earlier tonight, and this was just days after being told that she could pass on at any time, and that was only days after she was taken to the hospital.
Saw another house fire.
Posted 2 years agoFor the second time in my life, I witnessed a neighbor's house burn down, late last night. What's worse, is that some of their loved ones were still inside when it happened, and I don't know if they were able to be rescued in time.

Not much to say really. It was a better year for me personally, but it was just 2020 part 2 for much of the world.

2021
Posted 4 years agoSo 2020 has ended; and what a shitty year it was. It was certainly one of the worst years I've ever experienced. And almost all of the things that have happened to me have had nothing to do with the pandemic. Those low points include:
Losing internet for 2 months.
Possibly getting a minor case of Covid (I still don't know if that's what it was, but I had one of the longest and most painful sore throats from it, and I believe that's one of the symptoms.)
My old PC dying on me without warning (exactly one month after getting internet back,) after almost 9 years without hardware problems.
Piper (the family dog) suddenly passing away (and still not knowing how or what she got sick from.)
And some other, more personal issues.
But, some good things did happen too. Those include:
Getting a new PC only 1 and a half weeks after my old one died. And it also has much better hardware than my old one had.
Piper giving birth to 2 puppies about a month prior to her passing (though they have proven to be quite a handful.)
Getting some new games on Christmas (when usually, the holiday and everything having to do with it is pretty much nonexistent in my life these days.)
So things weren't completely awful, but the bad still outweighed the good, and it's not a year I will be remembering too fondly.

RIP Piper 2016-2020
Posted 5 years agoAnd now this horrible year has taken the family dog away from me. She just became sick a few days ago, and we don't know what it was, or why. And then late last night, she suddenly passed away from it. And this has happened a little more than a month after she gave birth to two puppies; except one of them seems to have the same illness that afflicted her, and I don't know if he's going to make it either.
This year just keeps being cruel to me, and to my family.

It's also the half-way point of what has been a very rough year for me. First I lose internet at the end of February, and don't get it back until near the end of April. And then a month after getting that back, my computer dies on me without any warning, after almost 9 years without any kind of hardware problems. If you were wondering why I've been more quiet lately, those are the reasons why.
But I do have a new computer now, and it only took a week and a half to get it this time (I think I had to wait several months before I was able to get the last one.)
