AO3 Created!
General | Posted a month agoFinally got the invitation link back from AO3, so I'll begin slowly porting my portfolio over there for people that appreciated reading them there instead. Will probably take a bit to get my handle around that site (my god the suggested tags sometimes XD).
For now, its only Paladins, but I'll probably post a couple of works a day/every so often until I get all caught up. o7
You can find it here!

Contemplating Mirroring My Stories to AO3 As Well
General | Posted 2 months agoDon't suppose anyone has any thoughts/knowledge on how well accepted furry smut stories are there? Obviously, FA will be the primary upload site still, so its not like I'm going anywhere here. But it is also a site with a significant audience and purposed towards writing stories, so I'm curious if its worth trying to cultivate an audience there as well.

Wednesday Commission Writing Stream
General | Posted 4 months agoGot off work early due to it being a public holiday in my area~ Unfortunately had to wait for peeps to leave my house, but that still means I can go live a couple hours earlier than usual!
I'll be going live ~30 minutesish after posting the journal, and should be going for a couple of hours, so feel free to swing by and enjoy the tunes!

Wednesday Proofreading & Writing Stream Going Live!
General | Posted 5 months agoTime for the Wednesday proofreading and, if I'm lucky, writing stream! Plan to finish rewriting some bits and proofreading the Mordero story, then maybe starting work on the next com afterwards~ All to whatever random music playlist catches my fancy at the time.
Oh yeah, only working with one monitor, so the stream might be even more cursed than usual. ;D

Telegram Channel Update + Proofreading Stream
General | Posted 5 months agoFirst up, I've made and linked a Channel to the TG Group so that, hopefully, story publication, stream announcement, or other important details don't get lost in the messages anymore. The link for it is here, for those that would like notifications without having to lurk in the actual group chat!
Second, in about 2-3 hours I'll be doing a stream on picarto to work on proofreading for the next story to be published (hopefully before the end of the month, but we'll see). The picarto link is here. I'll announce when I'm going live on the above TG, but following that should also tell you when I go live... I think. o7

Woo! 500 Watchers! \o/
General | Posted a year agoAfter ticking over 400 watchers near the end of last year, I was hoping to shoot for 500 this year, and it seems like I've finally crossed over that threshold with a month and some change to spare! Once again, I wish to express my thanks to everyone who has taken interest in my story writing here. It amazes me to this day that I've cultivated any sort of an audience via writing these stories, especially with my rather anemic release schedule. xD
Likewise, the telegram group I started has grown to a rather sizable 50ish members! We don't do much more than chat about general nerd and degeneracy stuff, but they've definitely helped to keep me motivated and remind me that I'm not just posting things to the void, so thanks to all of you keeping me company in there as well! And if you're not, feel free to come on down, you can lurk or join in on whatever idle chatter catches your interest!
On to other matters. I'd planned to do a do a celebration raffle when I eventually crossed over the mark, and that's still the plan! It'll just have to wait until either sometime in December or January, as I've got the Hypnovember Auction (that'll end tomorrow as well, for any that want to take a look at that) to do first! But feel free to look forward to that in the coming months!
One last note. I've been dragging my heels on the matter for a while, but after enough hassling from my previous commissioners, and promising myself to finally do it once I hit 500, I will be regretfully raising my prices to $30/1k word (base) and $20/1k word (discounted for featuring my characters). This price increase will only effect Commissions going forward. Anyone who has already approached for a Commission, and is currently on the queue list, will still be charged at the same rate they approached on.

Going on hiatus for a bit
General | Posted 2 years agoDue to real life events, going to take a small hiatus from writing for a while. I'll keep the queue for when I do get back to it, but I'm probably going to need a while before the motivation to write returns.
There may be one last story for this year to come out, as its basically done and just waiting on final approval barring any major rewrites, but other than that it likely won't be until next year that I get back to work on this side gig, apologies.

Debating Uploading RP Logs, Should I?
General | Posted 2 years agoJust some idle musings on ways to try and be more active between working on larger stories like the current one (should hopefully be on the proof reading stage now, as an aside!). What are peoples thoughts on uploaded RP logs, provided of course all partners involved consent? Only basic editing would be done to remove code times, preserve formatting, and make things clearer to read though (so no proof reading pass, as I'd feel weird 'correcting' posts made by my partners).
Some of them might be several years old, so might not be up to the same quality as my published works too, as an aside. xD

One Year Anniversary Raffle Winner!
General | Posted 2 years agoA bit delayed on announcing this, due to life and stuff getting in the way, but better late than never!
Putting everything together, there was a total of 74 entries, which is somewhere about 4 times more than I was expecting when I first, anxiously, committed to the idea! Its been enough of a success that I definitely want to do another one of these, so even if you didn't win this time, you'll have another chance next time! In particular, I'm thinking of having it be done with a bit of a twist, as I found the thing I most enjoyed was the idea of all of you guys' ideas that were waiting to come to life. Maybe I'll get those ahead of time next time and put them into a pot luck sort of thing and go back to it on the occasion? Or maybe I can do something with a subscribe star slot for the ideas I'm most drawn too? I dunno, but its stuff to think about going in!
Sadly, for this time there can only be one winner, although I was tempted to provide more with how well things went, I have to make up for some lost time due to stuff getting in the way. Maybe in a few months time I'll roll again and contact someone from this raffle for a #2 slot, but for now, the winner is...
#9! :userStormShepherd:

Again, thanks everyone who participated to make this a success! I definitely want to find more ways to try and reward those who did, so I suppose stay tuned to my journals! Also as a reminder, I have a telegram group here that I use for my writing musings, which include contemplating ideas for different events, so if you want a more active way to suggest thoughts you'd like to see, or just be around for idle chatter as I groan about editing work, feel free to hang out! https://t.me/+N_w67qPaG9w0YWJl

Raffle Reminder!
General | Posted 2 years agoJust a reminder that my raffle will be ending today, or well, ending tomorrow when I get back from a trip up the coast I need to do - but that's effectively ending today with some grace period. :P
So far it looks like 47 entries on Furaffinity, 8 entries on Twitter, and 12 on Inkbunny! I'll be adding them all in the same list (so assuming the previous entries, 1 on Inkbunny would be 48, 12 would be 59, Twitter 60 through 67, etc).
Please remember, any that are interested, that to be counted you need to watch me, favorite the raffle post, and comment. If you don't have a comment from me giving you a number, you will not be counted (except for twitter, where all you need to do is follow and retweet).

First Year In Review & Telegram Channel
General | Posted 2 years agoTomorrow marks the one year anniversary since I first opened myself up for commissions, after a decade or so of humming and awing at the prospect of writing more seriously. I honestly didn't expect much when I did so, as I didn't think there would be that much interest for such a thing. But, well, 10 stories, 327 pages, and 188,000 words later, I'm very happy to have been proven wrong, especially with how difficult the last year has no doubt been for a lot of people across the globe. So, sincerely, I wish to express my gratitude to everyone that's commissioned me (and hopefully continues to commission me if I'm so blessed), as well as all the watchers and readers I've picked up since then! Sadly, I never thought to track what my original watcher count was, but best guess from the waybackmachine's closest capture is over 110 watchers, which is definitely more than I thought I had attracted over these months, to say nothing of those I've also attracted on other sites that I have even less clue on.
So, since this first year's gone a lot better than I thought, and I've actually had a rolling queue going for the entire time (mostly due to life interrupting me for months at a time at a few points!) I suppose I'll try to take things a bit more seriously with it! I'm not going to raise prices just yet though, not quite THAT confident yet, especially with the financial issues going on. Maybe a later thing, but anyone currently in my queue or has expressed interest would be exempt if I do do so.
What I will be doing, though, after much further arguing with myself is run a Raffle that'll run over the month of June on here, Inkbunny, Sofurry, and Twitter (details to be posted in another journal) - part of a thank you to those that might be interested but, understandably, don't have the spare funds for such an expenditure, and of course partially to hopefully drive further growth! I'll also probably be creating a Telegram channel to use as a place to idly chat and vent about frustrations with proof reading rather than twitter. Someone else flouted the idea of a writing stream, but that sounds like a terrible idea, but maybe its something to consider later, along with the idea of a discord group.
Either way, I want to say thanks to one and all once again, and hopefully the next year will be even better! Sadly I've stayed up later enough writing this that it actually IS the day of the anniversary, so I'll bid you all good night, and hope to hear from you all later!
Oh yeah, might as well throw this telegram link here before I forget, rather than forget to post it tomorrow; https://t.me/+N_w67qPaG9w0YWJl

One year anniversary coming up!
General | Posted 2 years agoApparently its almost been a year since I first started doing this writing thing more seriously, or as one commissioner put it 'only a year!?'
Kind of debating doing something for it, but I don't know what. A raffle for a story slot comes to mind, but I'm not certain if it'd have that much interest, so uncertain. Interested in hearing any ideas that you lot might be into seeing! :P
Guess it could always grab an art commission to go with it... Hmmm.

Commission Process and 'Queue'
General | Posted 3 years agoSo I've done a few commission works for people now, and thought it might be useful to lay out the process I've so far settled into for those wondering. This is not laid out in stone, I am perfectly up for adjusting things on a case by case basis based off of commissioner desires, but this will be the default process I use.
Concept - I'll work out with you what story you want to see written. What characters will it feature, major desires, kinks, or scenes you wish to involve, and how long of a piece you are wanting being written. You don't necessarily have to have all of this in mind before approaching, I am happy to work with you to lay out what you might like to see, and things may change as the story is written due to spontaneous desires that crop up or things needing to be cut or trimmed down to fit into the desired number of words.
Payment - After the concept is hashed out I'll typically sort out payment. Sometimes I'll do this after writing the introduction of the story to ensure it matches what the commissioner has in mind. I will typically send an invoice via paypal, but if paypal doesn't work for someone for whatever reason, I am happy to discuss with them and sort out alternate payment arrangements if the issue crops up.
First Draft - I'll create a google document for the story that I'll write into, and give you a link to it that allows you to read as I write and also to add comments and suggestions. You do not need to read as I write, but if you wish you have a live update on my progress, and can comment either on the document or on whatever messaging system you prefer for things you'd wish to be changed (whether that be to have a passage rewritten, to change the tone, change some detail, or add something else you'd like to see in the scene). If the prose is running longer or shorter than expected it will also be at this point I sort out with you how you would wish to handle it (add more scenes, delete scenes, cut back on detail in areas, adjust compensation, etc).
I am fine if you wish to share the link to friends to help you review it or to show it off, just don't plaster it all over the internet please. :P
Revisions and Proof Reading - After the first draft is done I'll ask you for any revisions or changes you'd wish to make to detail or body of work. I'll then work on proof reading, going over the document and changing prose as desired for changes, cleaning up sentence structure, (hopefully) catching grammar or spelling mistakes, fixing repetitions, and other things which slip out from the initial typing confetti bomb I call my writing.
Review - After my proof reading pass is finished I'll hand it back off to you for final review. Please do point out any mistakes I might have missed, or sentences you feel are unclear or could be rewritten differently. Any major revisions (major details in a scene or a scene to be completely written differently) should be avoided at this point, but in the rare situation something does come up we can work it out then.
Publishing - Once the final review and adjustments are made and everything is good to ship out on your end I'll then publish the story, crediting characters and you as the commissioner assuming you do not wish to keep yourself anonymous.
Queue
Because people do ask, I figure it might be helpful just to have my current writing queue listed, which I'll do so in a new featured journal... soon. Typically I am open for taking new work while a story is in final review stages (as sometimes this can take days or weeks, depending on the commissioners availability and how thoroughly they wish to review). I will also ask now if you wish to reserve a slot if I am busy with first or proof reading of a current story, at which point when I have turned the first over to review I'll approach you to let you know I'm available (if you do not respond in 48 hours I will probably move on to whomever was behind you in the reserve queue, fyi).

Moving finished and a general thank you!
General | Posted 3 years agoI've been a bit distracted over the last few weeks sorting out a move to a new property, which fortunately is far closer to my work, on top of being a better, larger place, and we've also dropped a room mate along the way. All of which means that it'll probably be far more productive to writing going forward (on top of having a dishwasher, to cut down on the chores a bit :P).
Since putting out the notice that I was taking commissions I've also had two commissions and a few inquiries, which has really blown me away since I was not expecting any interest at all. It was incredibly uplifting to realize people actually appreciated my writing ability enough to think about forking over hard earned money towards my monkey type writer smashings. So I want to express another thanks to those commissioners and those that expressed interest.
Going forward, I'm currently working on a gift piece that I'll hopefully finish soon now that the move isn't looming in front of me (reviewing and proof reading that one is going to be fun with how start stop writing for the first bit was). So hopefully in the next week or two you'll see either that, or a commissioned story being published here.

Opening Up For Story Commissions
General | Posted 3 years agoYeah, I know probably no interest, but hey, now that I"ve finally gotten that last story published after dallying forever on proof reading, I figured I might as well announce that I'm willing to be paid cold hard cash to write your degeneracy of choice. :P
Information is now on my commission information, but the tl;dr:
I'll take one slot at a time, anyone wanting a piece done after that will be put on a reservation list and approached at time of completion of previous work.
Price is 20 USD per 1,000 words. If the story features one of my characters in a starring light as well, I offer a discount to 10 USD per 1,000 words. The price of this commission can instead be put towards the price of artwork depicting a scene from said story if wished (again, so long as it features my character in a staring role, see the Paladin story submitted yesterday for a good example).
Payment flexible, considering how large the story I write can vary quite a bit. If the story's running longer than expected by more than just another page or so, I'll reach out to you and offer to try to cut down on the word count on what's currently written, if you'd like to break the originally planned story into chapters, or what other method is desired.
