I've been sitting on all of that since last year, felt like uploading everything leading up to the start of this year just to see the difference between reception for my art comms and the stories/commissions I do.

It is very vast. Very. Vast.

With the recent changes for story viewing, it appears that .txt files are inconvenient for mobile reading while .rtf is better.

Though I have heard word that .pdf stories are flourishing, do those allow the text formatting?

So I'm making a decision, based off my output since I first initially opened comms years ago:

Increased prices.

Before you lynch me, let me explain. Back when I began doing writing commissions, my output was sluggish. Twenty pages seemed like a ton of work, let alone more than that for me. But as time went on and I got used to writing that much as a bare minimum, I've been able to put those out without any real issue or quality detriment for my clients.

So I'm increasing my prices to reflect that I've improved enough to warrant being paid that much for my output rate.

If you have plans to - or planned to - commission me at some point, do let me know if this disappoints you to see. I can assure you this was rough to post on my end because I never wanted to explore any reason to up my prices that wouldn't just come off as me being greedy.

Listed prices are now as thusly:

5 pages = $15 (previously 10)
10 pages = $30 (previously 20)
15 pages = $55 (previously 40)
20 pages = $80 (previously 60)

The incremental pricing of commissions for stories beyond a 20-page length still follow their pricing method.

I don't know if this might seem invasive or rude, but I've been wondering if there have been art pieces out there that you lot would like to see a story of.

Obviously after this round of comms, I'd actually do anything, but just for simplicity's sake:

Do you know any art out there that could use a story written around it?

I always try my best to pay homage to the media I write about - with Pokemon being the most lenient while there are some I am strict about deviating from.

Do you enjoy the media I write about? Do I do them a service, or do you think I'm a bit unrealistic with the character(s)'s portrayal?

I've asked about specific characters before, but the question is now thus:

What character archetype do you enjoy in my stories?

What's an alternative means of pregnancy that you, as a reader, enjoy?

Experimenting is a fruitless endeavor when some things just cannot make sense even from a fantasy perspective, so I should know what the people like before I try anything else.

After careful consideration, and after officially clearing my queue from November of last year, there need to be some changes in regards to the business I do.

Multi-story Slots

I trial-ran the idea of offering a commissioner the ability to commission multiple stories for a single slot instead of taking up multiple slots per story. I am happy to announce that this will be an option for one to consider.

But.

The pricing will adjust as thusly: Subsequent stories following the primary prompt will be held to a 1.25x add-on charge [a slot for two 20 page stories would total to 135$(60+75)].

Next up is behavioral tolerance.

I know I am a very business-first author when it comes to contact with me, but I do not have fondness for snide remarks, unnecessary comments, or insinuated distaste in me. Why do business with me if you don't like what I do or the fact that I'm doing it?

If this occurs, I will put you on a list as a mark that you have engaged in behavior I do not tolerate - not public. Persistence will result in no more business with you, and finally blocking.

At last, Means of Contact

FA is NOT the best place for commission negotiations and interactions since both I and my client had to regularly check Notes to keep updated on anything that comes up. So I will be offering my Telegram or Discord as a way to stay in touch consistently. This will only be open to those who do business with me.

Did not accomplish much.

Most - if not, all - of my passion projects fell dead into the water, my more ambitious stories are dwarfed by those I barely spent an hour on from start to finish, and as I speak I fear that writing will slowly crumble into a dead hobby of mine again.

But anyway, preemptive Happy New Year.

What will you change?

As you all noticed, I completed my final commission that took me the majority of the month to complete because I overstretched my capabilities to make sure it ended properly.

But this journal is not about that.

I will not be taking commissions for December. I will use the month to revitalize the dying passion for writing that has been growing in my stories as people have pointed out to me. Seems I lost my touch and I do not wish to open commissions to feed people garbage and expect to be paid for it when it's not to their liking.

I will be measuring my progress with story reception through the month. If there is an actual uptick, I will open commissions at least before Christmas time. If not, expect them to open first day of January.
