General | Posted 14 years agoThis is a series I'm working on.
It's exceedingly difficult to code something like this in Visual Basic,
with all the changes taking place.
It was inspired by Xadera's 'Nimin' game.
I'll be uploading the files separately,
instead of overwriting each previous version with the new.
It runs by itself, though you may need a VB6 Run-time file,
depending on what Windows you are running.
Sorry Mac users, but you'll need a windows emulator to run this.
Chapter I: Embark
v0.0.01 (alpha) [game shell]
This version is just the shell.
Although it is capable of loading certain data from a save file,
it can't do anything with that data, except the button names.
It also can't save, though there is a save button.
There is, one, it's just not visible.
This file's purpose is to let you see what I've fleshed out.

This version is just the shell, but with races and stats.

Previously clicking Teen or Adult didn't trigger the confirm age screen.
The code has also been cleaned up, to save space,
and make it easier to change game text by changing one line in one spot,
instead of trying to find every mention of the text.

I am not a game you can put in the trash when you get bored of it.
I am not a puzzle you can junk when you realise it doesn't have all the pieces.

However, I want to manage a website and domain name. Domain names and websites alike are billed monthly, meaning I would need more money to accomplish this.
Now, sadly, for me, they will bill my paypal, and if paypal doesn't have the funds, I run into trouble.
I don't have my resume any more, nor access to the information I need to put on one. This pretty much prevents me from getting any real job.
That and a lack of any education beyond grade nine.
I was hoping that I could sell story commissions, but it seems no one is even slightly interested. I tried doing an Iron Artist for a while, that also failed. Not a single person sent me a note, or even posted a request in a comment. Only one person actually seemed to want one.
If anyone has other, legal, methods of earning money, please let me know.

NINTENDO broke the pokémon dream world!!!
General | Posted 14 years agoA day or two ago, FireFox decided that instead of having pokemon-gl.com/pdw in my last tab, it should bring it into a new window and get rid of the tab without warning. And for the rest of that day, I was not able to see pokémon or items in the dream world.
What does this mean?
It means I can't get any new berries, pass orbs, and other dream-only items.
I have found out the actual cause.
It's not Firefox, its furniture.
Buying Furniture in the Pokémon Dream World will kill all pokémon and items found in pleasant forest, being the only place on dream island I know of, for the remainder of the day, and you'll need to wait a day before finding anymore.
I think they need to fix this bug ASAP.

General | Posted 14 years agoAfter being on NeekoKarina's pokémon attack stream, I mentioned that I wanted to see a Kiwi Parcheesu, and she said Kiwi would be an Emolga. And so I set into motion my parody artistry and created Kiwi Emolga: Anahuyu Alteration!
I then realised I had not made the tail two-toned, so I made a quick edit, and called it Kiwi Emolga: Anahuyu Alteration Mk II.
Now, since it's just a re-colour of official nintendo art, it won't go in my FA Gallery, but I'll link it, and other pokémon alterations of mine here.

Raz Mah Tazz [fursona]
General | Posted 14 years agoA lot of my characters are pan-dimensional, which means they exist in every possible world and dimension. Now obviously, a single look would not fit in every world and dimension, therefore, they tend to have many different appearances and, in some cases, personalities as well.
This is not one such character.Appearance:
They are about the size of a large rat, with over-sized puppy ears that droop to the sides of their head. Their HUMANOID-ISH body is covered in soft, baby blue fur, except their crotch, hands, feet, nose, and tail. and their hair is turquoise. They have soft pink eyes and a tail like that of a rat, but ending in a wooden handle. Their tail is a darkish pink, the rest of their skin is black except their insides, which has the same colour scheme as humans. They have a true gray horn on the left side of their forehead that sprouts out, and then goes straight up if their head is upright. They have a tongue that can stretch to be as long as their body from the tip of their horn to the end of their handle.
Personality:
Very submissive, and will often to complain to someone flailing them around like a… uh… flail. They like leftovers, cheese, and being inside cages. They dislike mousetraps and rattraps. Very playful and obedient.
Powers:
Incredible endurance and durability! They can be run over by a steamroller into a bed of nails, and they'll be okay. Makes an excellent mace. Minor transformation -- can swap between male, female, hermaphrodite type one, hermaphrodite type two, and androgynous. Crotch is bald regardless of gender.
Flaws:
Is slowed down by handle at end of tail, which drags on the ground when they, or someone else, aren't holding it. They can't jump very high or far. They're small, making them easy food. They taste like whatever the taster likes most, making them desirable food. They are easily used as a flail due to their toughness and endurance.

ALL CAPS is something I've added.
bold was already their, but apparently everyone just ignores it. Now it should grab attention. the mention of hands and feet (instead of paws) should've made it painstakingly obvious they were anthro-ish and not feral-ish. Apparently, no one else agrees.

A lot of my characters are pan-dimensional, which means they exist in every possible world and dimension. Now obviously, a single look would not fit in every world and dimension, therefore, they tend to have many different appearances and, in some cases, personalities as well.
Dopples only exist where they are created or sent.Appearance:
In their default state, they look like a mannequin in a soft transparent gray, the only Dopple like that, but there are some obvious differences. They have no hands or feet, and the wrists/ankles come to rounded points. They display no gender-based features in their natural state. Their heads display no face in their standard state, and they have a two-colour theme upon them based in strange markings or text of a forgotten language.
Personality:
A self-serving child of a jerk. He will do anything to ruin someone's day. They often pretends to obey someone's commands only to ruin their grand scheme at the worst moment possible. He can mimic any personality in existence, flawlessly.
Powers:
Able to mimic the looks, sounds, feel, smell, taste, powers, and personality of anyone it knows. It can hear its counterpart's commands across any plane of Momatu, existent or otherwise, at any distance possible. Has access to Momatu's Omni-Network, allowing him to learn anything he needs (or wants) about anything that is currently, or ever has been, in Momatu.
Flaws:
It disguise can only be broken by being hit by a Kitan attack.

Their heads display no face in their standard state, and they have a three-colour theme upon them based in strange markings or text of a forgotten language.
Personality:
This varies on the affinity. Darks are malicious, conniving, and corruptive. Flames are hot-headed, passionate, and ill-tempered. Gusts are ditzy, easy-going, and spacey. Take into consideration the personality of who you want the Dopple to mimic when choosing an affinity, otherwise it can be very easy to tell the Dapple from the person it looks like.
Powers:
Able to mimic the looks, sounds, feel, smell, taste, and powers of anyone its master/mistress knows. It can only mimic personalities that correspond to its own affinity. It can hear its master's/mistress' commands across any plane of Momatu, existent or otherwise, at any distance possible.
Flaws:
It must do as its master commands. It will never go far from its master unless instructed to do so. It does not think of itself as a being, but as an extension of its master or mistress. Its disguise can be broken by being hit by an opposing element that is the Dopple's affinity's weakness.
