Posted 9 years agoSo I know I said I was going to be removing stuff and all that jazz... but now I'm not too sure... I do have an adoptable account, but the point in this years resolution was to simplify things. I'm clearly not popular enough to have a 2nd account or a 3rd account for things such as commissions or adoptables. So I'm thinking for the sake of the resolution, I might just be re-adding things to this account seeing as not even favourites are usable to share artwork I've gotten from others. I found many artists clean out their accounts.. So... yeah. o.o Keep your eyes peeled for changes. XD
[OTH] = Other: Commissioned art, adoptable I purchased, or a gift I received from another artist/user will be labelled with this.

2016 and the past year

I know that I don't write here often, but to those who are reading thank you. Thank you for being you and I hope you continue to be you in the future. :)
I'd like to take this time to reflect on the past year and to get certain things out there so that I don't take them with me in the new year. Because honestly, I'm probably more hurt about these than anyone else would be. Some might even roll their eyes and tell me to just get over it. So first I'd like to start off with, earlier this year a dog very special to my siblings and I passed away. So to say it was the last bit of my grandma (minus my grandpa) that we really had. I stated that I would be in debted to an artist who could find it in their hearts to do me a memorial piece gathering different references and as much text as I could. An artist offered to do said peice, but as time went on all I got was an apology for not having started it yet but that they would. It is now almost a year since her death and there is no art piece but the sad little chibi doodle I did on my wall. While I could understand that what I asked for would have been normally a very expensive, but I am still hurt that they never followed through on their end to something that was so deeply important to me.
With the new year.. I let it go.
The second is, I was in a few streams, and one stream I had won a freebie doodles... and was being offered a freebie doodle on another occasion. Which at one time the artist's computer crapped out which I never received the doodle from. The second time the artist was tired and said they'd do it the next stream to which I never got it that time either.
With the new year.. I let it go.
Those two things bothered me the most. Only because, I'm the type of girl that don't like being told I'm going to get something, and never get it. But.. to the new year, these hurtful events I will not be bringing with me. With that said...
I'm hoping that this year I will utilize my account and all the bases I got for free and actually USE them. I probably COULD draw if I really put some effort into it. However, the truth is, I don't have that strong of a drive to better it. However, I wouldn't mind really advancing my colouring/shading skills! So, this year I'm hoping to be putting out more adopts. :) I'm also hoping that this year, I'll be able to afford every damn character I lay my eyes on! I'm going to try to achieve being the best art whore I can be!! While I may not be able to afford the really expensive art... I do plan on commissioning some artists.
There's other not artsi things I would like to accomplish but I'll save that kind of entry for my blog. :)

This is suppose to be where people run to to get a better start in life... where people can open their own business and work along side big corporations... but now...
BIG CORPORATIONS are TAKING OVER and we're doing NOTHING to put them back in their place!!!

and with this new copyright law... my faith in America is even less. The government that was made BY the people, FOR the people, is screwing over the people... and worst part about it... Only those being effected care.
You think some non artist who works 9-5 is going to care about this copyright law? Nope. and it's sad. But it's only because that 9-5 working person is so caught up in trying to survive themselves... they don't know. See.. I don't work.. okay well i do but only on the weekends.. and I'm subscribed to a few petition signing groups and I see... I see the little things that don't make it on corporate paid news stations. My grandpa is so caught up in being angry about the war across the damn fucking ocean or the guy who escaped from prison that he is not informed about.. oh say the attack on the free internet... and now.. the attack on rights of artists. and he probably wouldn't care even if i told him... he'd dismiss it most likely.
I'm sorry.. but it's time we wake up... get our heads out of corporate paid news and realize what is really going on out there in our home land... America just isn't the greatest anymore... as us artists are slowly learning that copyright laws are MUCh better in OTHER countries than here.
This country could be great again... but most american's would have to get their head out of their ass and news and open their eyes to what is really going on. That is all i've got to say about this...

I know I don't usually post normal stuff in here. I mean, these things are called journals and we tend to use them more as a message board if anything else. So, I suppose today will be a little mix of both. I'm super excited because this saturday will be my 2nd ever furry event! Fremont FurBowl! :D I'm hoping those I've met last time will be going, it will be nice not to have to stand there awkwardly with my brother. Although, I have a feeling it will probably happen. I'm also expecting to receive my very first badge I ordered after meeting an artist! :D I'm so excited for that too!
On other news, I ordered something from someone on the 31st of march and it's been two weeks and still no product. I understand difficulties could happen, but I'm starting to feel it's excuses because I only get this information when I note them. :( I really wanted that pendant too. ._. But I'm not giving up! I'll keep at it until they either offer me a refund or finally send me the order. I know it's not much, but I'm a person with very little to begin with and what I paid could have gone into my gas tank to get me to and from work.
Now, I'm sure you all are like.. omfg what free badge raffle!? This nice person

Cloverleaf Bowl Furmeet
Posted 10 years agoomg omg omg!! I did it! I went to my first ever irl furry event!!! I had soooo much fun!!! :D Omg.. I'm so stoked I want to cry! XD
I met Lake Song.. by none other then a tail mishap! (glad I was able to fix it for the rest of the night! XD )... chatted a little with her and Ahri (who i'll be commissioning for my first badge EVER)! Later we hooked back up again when I was waiting for a friend and they joined in our 2nd game! (well.. more like I watched the game. XD )
Then I played a little DDR with a siamese kitty and Velveteen (who might have been using a different "character" Or I was a derp and didn't know any better. I kept calling their character a penguin. Unsure if that is what she actually was.)
Then I met Wafflez! (with a z!) Such a character! Had fun Bowling with him too (well more like being a supporter) and the huuuuuugs!!!
I had soooo sooo much fun!! Thank you all for making my first furry event ever such a great one! I was such a wreck just thinking about going... and even when I showed up.. I was so so shy.. had no idea what to do or anything. Just.. thank you! It meant so much to me! I hope I get to see them again next month!!

Posted 10 years agoEveryone is flipping the fuck out over something they really don't need to be worried about. i mean... there are so many furry art sites to move to... So Furry isnt' owned by IMVU. Go there if you're fucking that worried.
For me it's another "OMFG MICROSOFT BOUGHT MINECRAFT WE"RE DOOOOOOOOOOOMED" situation aaaaalll over again. Someone got pissy claims half ownership and this was done without their permission and blah blah blah [ENTER EPIC DRAMA HERE.] People are freaked out because jo-blow says this..and that and they believe it without even doing research on their own.
I was told/read a few things:
IMVU has shitty customer service
IMVU is greedy (but again what big company isn't)
IMV is a family friendly company.. and all the pronz is gonna disappear and *in deep dark evil voice* NEVER RETURN!!!
(Cue all furries cry nuuuuuu in utter dispair in the pouring rain.)
Meanwhile I'm sitting here rolling my eyes because those 3 things up there describe almost all companies. But the last one really irritated me. Why? Because no family friendly company is going to blindly buy a highly pornographic art site. That would be like sesame street buying Penthouse and turning it into home and decor. Companies don't blindly buy companies to turn away more than 99% of their clientele. It just doesn't make sense.
FA is a place where people share art across the board, from fluff to snuff (although if you're in NSFW mode you'll notice it is MOSTLY snuff). ALSO, despite all the bad shit that's happened before people are still here posting pronz in the name of art. I don't think IMVU is going to come in here and take away all the pronz... or use your art with you first consenting to it.

Final Decisions and more...
Posted 10 years agoOkay, I will eventually be closing my adoption account. There really is no reason for me to have one anyway. I'm sure there are a lot of artists out there that just use their account for adoptables as well.
Speaking of adoptables.. I was hoping to get some rats out... I'm a bit behind... but I guess I could work on them during the week and just upload them on a weekend. Maybe that might help sales. I'm not sure but it's worth a shot... So keep an eye out for a bunch of rats. XD

Second Thoughts
Posted 10 years agoYou know, at the time I figured.. Hey! an adoption account! great idea!!! but now that I think about it.. it goes against the very thing I'm trying to do this year... MINIMIZE! instead I created yet another account for me to deal with.
I think Furaffinity needs to come out with sub galleries already. DeviantArt has it... So furry I think has it.... Not entire sure though.. I don't spend much time on there... but still.. even if they didn't... why doesn't FA have it?
So... now i'm not sure about the whole adoption account thing... :L Not like very many really pay much attention to either of my accounts. v.v
I dunno.. did i do the wrong thing creating an adoption account? Should I have just kept the adoptables on this one?

Rant and Signal boost me please
Posted 10 years agov.v ugh.. I know being an artist is hard. I know that... but i just feel like everyone else can take a base.. colour it in and make 20+ bucks off it. I could color the same damn base (and probably shade it!).. and not even get more then 5 views on it and not a single comment or offer. :L This is probably why I go off and on with art and that i've stuck with bases because it's like.. well hell.. no one ever shows me support so why should I bother trying to be good at it? I know it's silly to think that way.. but that's how i am.. I thrive off positive reinforcement.. and it hurts when no one even nips at the freebies I do. ;o; v.v Sad Ana is sad... and having a really shitty week.. again not that many of you care.. Posted 10 years agoI had to finally put my baby (dog) down. :( May she be with my grandma (her original owner) in the afterlife... I will miss you... This house will be empty....
(also... if there is anyone willing to do a special art piece for me.. that would be great.. I don't have a sketch of her.. i only have pictures of her markings... I don't have much money because i'm poor.. but.. it would really mean a lot... like... a lot... even if it's just line art.. it would be.. my dog... my sona.. my brother (although i'd be having him as a furry) and my sister (as a faerie) I could also do a payment plan after february (because i have a lot of big bills due next month) I can do that.. it would.. just really mean a lot. :<

There are people (err furries) on here that say I have MANY sonas... BUT they each have a different personality. Which leaves me to wonder if the huuman counterpart suffers from multi-personality. Hear me out before you flip and rage yell at me.
When I think of fursona, I think you the huuman but in a furry body (or scaley body if that's your thing). That's it. Pretty simple.
But when people say they have MANY sonas and they all act different... well that leaves me to wonder... why not just say.. characters?
I have one sona.. but many many characters. But I would never introduce them as my sona.. because they aren't me.. they have their own personality.
So, what do you all think of this?
