I'm a little less than 24hrs post top surgery, and all things considered, i feel great!!

Very sore, obviously, and my range of motion is very limited, but I have a great support network and my mate taking care of me. ♡♡♡

I'm following my care instructions to the letter, and it's looking like I'll be able to get these drains out as scheduled in a week's time! Very exciting.

Still can't believe i finally did it! I'd been imagining what my flat chest would look like for years, and now it matches how I've always pictured myself. I'll cry happy tears about it later, I'm sure lol ♡♡♡

August has been a hell of a month. It feels like things haven't paused for a single second.

Life's about to get busy for me again, but for cool and exciting reasons! Next Friday is the date for my top surgery!

So to those I mentioned I wanted to do trades with, gonna have to push those out probably to October/November. I'm not sure how long it's going to take til I feel up to sitting at my desk again. I know I'm not gonna be able to draw for a while and I'm mostly going to be sleeping through the first couple weeks.

Just wanted to post a little journal here -- I know I'm rather quiet at the best of times, but I'm about to be even more so! My mate and I are taking a long-planned vacation to Japan and I'm going to be away until the end of the month. Many thanks in advance for any watchers, comments, or notes that I receive while away! I've been lucky to do some international travel before, but this is by far the furthest I've ever been. And the first time I've flown in almost 10 years. I'm really excited to experience a ton of new things, great food, awesome scenery; and take it easy for a bit, where the last year really, has been so stressful! Bon voyage!

I have really tried to not put my work into common tags, like I very rarely tag species, just fetish.

Tags for my stuff usually run the gambit of: snuff, death, peril, asphyxiation, breathplay, etc.

I'll be going through my gallery over the next week to make sure I'm consistent in my tags, but if I ever mess it up, pls bring it to my attention and I'll fix it! Promise it's just an honest mistake! ^^

I have had so much going on in my life, I've been unable to create consistently for a couple years for a variety of reasons.
The rise of AI and peoples' reaction to it has been a huge morale sink; the general state of the world, a handful of health issues. Getting various anxieties under control. Just livin' life.
I'm picking things back up here, because I genuinely find this content cathartic and enjoyable. I have a backlog of ideas I've been sitting on that I think will be really hot and fun to explore.
And I think I've taken enough rest. It was a very good and necessary hibernation.

Most of my wisps of creative energy have been going into my tabletop games. But I've always felt anxious/awkward posting non-guro stuff here.
So after some thought, I've decided to make a second gallery and I'm going to split what I post!
I won't delete anything from here, but I'll be tidying up, moving my SFW stuff to my scraps.

The one thing I will keep outta my scraps are my designs -- if I ever make more of those I'd want to sell them here, not on my alt.

I'm looking to commission a custom feral design for a bronze dragon!!
I have a D&D campaign coming up in the fall where I'm playing a human pirate Sorcerer whose ultimate goal is to become an actual full-on dragon.
We're starting at level 10, so I'm going to have a transformation spell the very next level that'll allow a dragon form!

I've been looking at a few artists that have caught my eye, but if you guys have anyone to recommend (or yourself!) please let me know! I feel like treating myself!

Hey everyone. Been agonizing over exactly what to post so I'm just gonna keep it short:

I have to thank you all for your kind messages in response to my dental update. I was touched, but so miserable I couldn't bring myself to respond in a non-depressed way. The procedures are finished and my recovery is fully done! That's...about the only good news.

Everyone in my queue is going to get a note from me and their money refunded, today 1/17.
I do apologize for stringing my queue along. It is extremely hard for me to admit "defeat." But I was taking my guilt to a really unhealthy degree. It's time for me to stop pretending like I'm able to create to the quality we're all used to while the world is on fire.

For those who have messaged me about openings, I'm extremely flattered, as always, but consider me closed indefinitely until I post otherwise. Setting ambitious dates to reopen while huge life events happen to me is what consistently gets me into this really shitty situation of having to disappoint you all and myself.

Bottom line, I have barely been able to create anything, let alone anything high quality, for all of 2021 and it's been a struggle to even do that. I need to learn to love doing art again before I can create for others.
I'm not leaving or anything, but I'll be free to engage in the community again without stress or guilt and I think that's best for me right now.

So....big TLDR; dental work sucks and I hate making excuses.

Skipping some gorey details, I had to have a few extractions on either side of my mouth, which were challenging to care for and keep covered by the temporary crowns. Because both sides are being worked on, it's made eating difficult and painful. Getting calories and correct intake of protein to facilitate healing has been a challenge for sure. My dentist has been giving me the "two more weeks" treatment since mid-September. If they had clued me in to exactly what the recovery for these procedures would look like and how long it might take, I wouldn't have kept up the illusion to myself, and you all, that I'd be able to work through it. Absolutely not.

I've been lucky enough in my life that this is the first weeks-long pain management I've had to do, and it's been a learning process both physically and mentally. So I really can't overstate how grateful I am that you've all been so patient and supportive. I'll be delivering the owed work and getting WIPs out to anyone who doesn't have one already ASAP, but I don't want to sacrifice quality, especially after I've raised my prices this recent round! That said, if you are especially concerned and need a refund, please reach out to me, no hard feelings at all. I'd much rather do that than risk souring any relationships.

I've got a couple interested parties for sketch work I'll be contacting in November, but after that I want to go back to doing my own personal thing for a while. Maybe the next snuff comic. If the universe is going to kick me while I'm down I'd rather it be slowing up my own personal projects than keep paying parties waiting.

I'd like to apologize for the delay on work -- The past couple weeks I've had 3 dentist appointments to do the prep for a sizeable amount of work in my mouth.
I wasn't expecting my dentist to make room for me so quickly as to become a problem here. I'm glad to be seen and it's not what I'm used to from dentists, but it also means a lot of pain management, soft food diet, and lethargy.

I do have a 2 week break before my next round of appointments, so I'll be working on my queue in the meantime as I can! The work actually helps take my brain off the anxious spiral.

I'm obviously finishing what's on my queue before taking on or scheduling any more work! Though if any of you want to comment here with suggestions for the next time I do YCH voting, please do so!!

Back from my crazy July and resuming business as usual! Very happy to be back!

I decided I wanted to start slow, so I have 3/5 slots taken and waiting to hear back details.

Hiya, everyone! Long time no see! I hope you've been well, and staying safe as you can in these times!

2020's New Game Plus mode has been a ride, that's for sure. The year or so I've been in and out I've been busy with non-art things, most of them good! Purchased a house, then the moving in/out took a lot of energy, then some repairs had to be made, then a series of renovations, which have all gone quite well, but only because of devoting 100% of my time and energy to them. I've been doing some work on the side, but mostly pure SFW things related to D&D, so I haven't been posting them here!

After taking a break from drawing my usual snuff, I find I definitely miss it! I wanted to open up again mid-June, but due to some family-related events, my entire June/July got booked.

Consider this an official announcement that I will be resuming business Friday, August 6th! I'll be changing my Comm website to reflect this!
There are a few new options on my site, including a PWYW section and an option for traditional art, which can be mailed to you!

I'm going to do comms in groups of 5. I'm going to start off not doing a waitlist, but may add one down the line once I'm back to regular posting.
I plan on also resuming my streams, but I'll make a separate announcement about that once I have the details worked out.

This year was....in a nutshell, a roller coaster of some incredible ups and incredible downs.
So far my household has managed to keep Covid-free -- and if people keep being diligent, I'm holding out hope for being able to play D&D around a table by this time next year.
I count myself lucky that the cabin fever hasn't hit me, especially compared to the poor introverts I know.

My new year's resolution is to Make Time for personal art. I barely had anything left in me to work on anything this year, even sketching things out was a strug. And whenever I sat down to work on something for myself, I let the Guilt set in. I'm not going to let myself do that this year, 'cause BOY did that not help things!! I have scripts I've been wanting to thumbnail out properly for more comic and multi-image pieces like Live and Learn.

So exciting life news: I'm buying a house, closing in just a few weeks!!
The stress of that has been occupying almost every moment of life, world stress the rest, so I can't thank my clients enough for their patience.
I'd rather take my time and deliver something worth the cost than rush and make us both frustrated.
In light of that, I'll announce that I'm going to be working through my existing queue and then taking a break for a couple weeks to deal with the craziness of house signing and meeting with a couple contractors! (New Bathroom tiles and flooring! Yay!!)

As it says in the title -- ty for all my clients especially for being really understanding of wait times -- it's hard to concentrate on art some days when the world's kinda, yknow....falling apart...

I have a bad habit of falling into this cycle of feeling overwhelmed and then hiding away into a corner and going completely silent. So I'm trying to put in the effort to be more social on all my platforms!

This past week has been real rough outta nowhere. A compounding lack of sleep and insomnia in full swing. Normally have some trouble falling asleep but not in staying asleep, but lately I've had trouble with both.
I'm getting on a new med tho, which should help and I'm so excited to get started with that. Even getting the script called in was a huge weight off. Not having to worry about getting that sorted.

Past week has thrown my entire sleep schedule into the garbage disposal, to the point where the past couple days I've had to just....sit down, listen to my body's basic needs.
There's discipline and then there's forced productivity, which just churns out sub-par work. And I never want to deliver that. Again, I'm reminded what awesome, chill folks I get to work with all the time.

How's everyone been doing, though? I haven't posted journals in a hot minute, life's been keeping me in a bit of a chokehold.
Posting that recent Execution illustration was a big breakthrough for me and felt great!

I want to set up a couple YCH's soon, any particular themes y'all are interested in?

I am dealing with the biggest headache ever at the moment -- two of my bank accounts got compromised.
Good news: the money I lost is gonna get reimbursed in full and my accounts are securely frozen.
Bad news: my ID just expired so I can't open new accounts, so the only way I can pay for stuff is to physically go into my branch and tell them to move money around...and I don't have a car. It's a doable walk, though, with only one mildly-dangerous street to cross.

So I need to get a new ID, which was on the docket anyway, the universe just felt like forcing my hand. So I'm scrambling to acquire/reacquire the documentation I didn't think I'd need for a while, learning all kinds of fun lessons in the type of documents I need to keep on hand no matter how much I don't trust myself.

And then I'll need to do this whole song and dance AGAIN when I do legal name change and gender marker. I'm get to be best buds with the DMV yayyyyyyyy

Anyone that wants to sneak in and axe murder me, well I don't think I'd stop you atm.

I was gonna upload some stuff, but I cut my knee open real good on a piece of broken glass in the basement this evening, bled a very decent amount. My gf and my housemate were the best tho, and I got to have my first ever adventure in an Urgent Care clinic!

Verdict: it was kind of really cool! The late night crew there was real nice and I got seen quickly. Got to have an X-ray to see if there were still glass fragments in the wound (there weren't, thank goodness). Last time I had one of those was 15 years ago, it's an incredibly quick process now!

I got a tetanus shot which was fine (arm's sore), just in case. And then I got to joke with the nice doc, ask her questions, and watch while she stitched up my knee! 4 Stitches, not too bad at all. Really cool to watch. Gotta have 'em in for 10 days, then if I go back there to get 'em taken out they'll do it for free.

UNFORTUNATELY this means that I gotta have 'em in over labor day weekend, where my mates and I are going to a LARP event. RIP, time to play a non-combat nobleman.

I leave for that Friday, and I'll be uploading finished comms Thursday!
