Hi everyone,

Welcome to Roovember! I know we already have FebROOary, but I want a second roo month! Plus on top of that, I'll be streaming on my Twitch channel every day this month as I did in past years! But I am calling it a Survive-a-thon now because I need to make enough each month to help cover bills, food, and medical costs for myself and my mom after my dad passed away on Oct 11th. Also my 43rd Birthday is happening on Nov 8th.

Just a warning before you read on... this will mention death.

On October 11th 2025 around 8pm, I found the body of my father after he had an apparent heart attack earlier in the day. It has left me in a constant state of shock, fear, and panic. I live with my parents and helped take care of my disabled mom who has late stage 4 cancer. While my dad was only 68, he was still very much struggling to work and financially support not only my mom and the meds she needs, but also me as I am struggling with multiple health issues. My own have left me unable to do traditional work, but in the same hand, I assumed the role to be as much as the home care taker and driver to transport my mom to appointments and pick up her requests and prescriptions. For a while I was able to get food stamps to help offset my time living with them.

My dad did his best to carve and find a job that just barely kept us in his old dream house. A house that he and my mom have lived in since shortly after I was born 43 years ago. Now as I work with my brother to try and discover and resolve my dad's estate, we are left with a horrible realization that we are not only in one count down timer of things falling apart, but having to discover and hope my dad had any safety nets. So a few days after his initial death, many friends asked me to start a Go-Fund-Me as a way for them to send support aside from the multiple offers of local friends and neighbors offering food and additional help as we navigate these rough times.

I had no clue what to set for the goal, and only had loose access to knowing how much my dad made. But I did know from my mom roughly the costs of her meds and other cancer treatments... and I know my dad likely took on large amounts of debt just to help cover her expenses. I very much under targeted my initial posted amount, but until we have a better understanding, I stand by it till I have solid info. If you even have a few dollars you can toss, I would be forever grateful. If you can't and are wiling to share and spread this around, be it here or other places, please you are welcome to do so. Thank you regardless for reading this and I can only hope something like this never happens to anyone else. But I know the world often times repeats itself. Please be mindful of your health and educate yourselves on the signs and risks of heart attacks.

I'll be there. Picking up friends at the airport on Wednesday but not really at the con till sometime Thursday evening. Hotel room I'll be staying in is from Thursday evening till Monday morning. Again will likely mostly be drifting between the Video Game space and Table Top Space. Likely offering to run games like Ult Werewolf and Blood on the Clocktower. A few have asked me to set aside times and plans for meeting up for meals and so forth. TLDR: welcome to the new year. Still depressed, still learning about people who I thought were friends who likely never were. Still trying the streaming thing, and wanting to re-work my roo sona. Hope the year and even the next 5 years are somehow safe and survivable for everyone.

Level 42 Get!

So, I'll be blunt; Attending Anthrocon this year was a huge release of stress for me. It was a much needed break from family, only to return home and be totally stressed out by them and events these last 3 weeks. It's to the point I was offered a chance to attend a second Furry Con this year. One called Megaplex down in Orlando Florida... but I'm currently unable to afford the plain ticket or badge costs. Friends are willing to let me stay at the hotel at no cost and as long as I can cover food as well, I'm welcome to come and visit and have a break again away from family. But there in lies the problem, I just can't afford it. NOW I'm not one to just... ask for money for personal pleasure RIGHT after fundraising on stream for Anthrocon... but I really do need more time away from family so I can have more time to decompress.

But if I can't make my target goal, I have an alternative solution... and that is regardless I'll begin saving up to move away and disconnect from my toxic family asap, be it by either purchasing a new vehicle to live in for a bit, or even just find a place I can room share with for a year as I figure things out. I've already been sleeping on air mattresses and camping cots for the last 7 years, I can go longer if it means a chance to fix and start improving my life.

I'll be there, mostly lurking about the Video Game/Table Top areas and sometimes wandering the Dealers hall. I'll be packing all of my Werewolf(Mafia) style games if anyone wants to have a game run for them and a group of people. Still have some older and even newer Androo gift art to post up here. Still doing my thing over on Twitch but my schedule has taken a hit as I'm caring for aging parents and my nephew more so often. Anthrocon for this year is still a maybe, but funds have mostly been re-routed to family and car issues. Again I'm a bit more active on Discord and Telegram if anyone needs or wants to reach out. Not sure how to go about asking this, but for anyone who sees this;

For those of you who helped make or spearhead the making of Custom OC Decks of cards or OC Tarot Cards or just any custom playing cards, how did you go about it? Were you just an artist on the project for specific cards? were you the project lead to helped organize things? I've got an idea that I want to try and make but I'm neither an artist and would like input on how to best make this project and fairly make sure everyone involved is compensated properly.

Level 41 get.

2 weeks till my 41st birthday (Nov 8th). Every year I get less and less excited for it. Mostly because I'm not meeting my own expectations each year. More so I've not done more for friends birthdays, so why should I until I can make it up to them?

Asking here point blank, I'm looking to find the alternative to Twitter/X and it seems Blue Sky is where so many people are migrating to. Does anyone have a spare invite code for it or even other alternative sites that seem to have the same migration towards? I know of Mastodon and it's many many flavors but that's more or less stressing me out trying to figure out what one to join as it seems to have split up everyone yet still allows the users to inner connect?

I'll be there, I'll mostly be lurking around the con but my main focus will be any late evenings of Werewolf, The Charity Poker event, If there is a streamer meet up, or just hanging around the tabletop/video game/dealers hall.

I might also try to hit up a Kangaroo meet if that's a thing. But PM/respond here if you want to meet up/hang out at the con.

 Jace seems to have passed from what news is starting to be passed around here and on Twitter. While I recall only briefly chatting with them YEARS ago back when I was also chatting with  Vickywyman in my earlier days of entering the fandom, it is truly sad to see another flame vanish.

Yo all, Roo here!

So life tends to spin in ways where you sometimes manage to regain momentum to return to things that you once enjoyed or still enjoyed but were just unable to give full focus on for a bit. Being here is in the works to sort of being more active.

On an additional note, I do streaming now over at https://twitch.tv/misterroo and would love to see if anyone here would find enjoyment in seeing and hearing me play some games. I also have a custom textured Vtuber avatar that looks like Androo, but I hope to at some point save up to get a proper originally made Roo for that purpose.

I also want to take time and expand on a few other items here; I want to get Androo refreshed in design going forward. I still love his design I've been using over the years and also want to retain that in ways. But I think it's finally time to realize there is more to Androo then just the single Roo.

I am in the works of planning on splitting Androo in to 2 semi-twin sonas. At first glance they may look identical, but in reality one will be male, one will be female. The large oversized hoodie will help mask that a bit to make it a little tougher on simple glance seeing the difference, but I'm also finally at the stage there I'm open to finally being and having more... adult level content drawn of Androo after all these years. So I'll need to get proper images made of both forms and with and without safe for work and NSFW versions.

This goes in reflection that I've now started seeing my self IRL as more gender neutral but feeling there are aspects from both binary genders that well, feel right to me. Also I feel I currently fall in an Aro/Ace spectrum more so now then ever, but that is still subject to change as I'm exploring more terms and parts of that sort of identity.

It also means... I also want to make a few additional character and personal OCs to explore a few things I've kept somewhat close to my chest on. I currently want a more personal Sona designed that while Androo is my initial OC and self created character, this new character will be a more... reflective to my mind and internal self image sort of character and personal OC. I've got a rough idea on the species and such of them, but I first want to find the right artist to portray them. I also don't have their design in my head fully set in stone.

I also want to create a few transformations of Androo so to speak... One of will be a Kangaroo Mouse/Rat. Yes I'm diving into the world of making a smaller size character. feel free to make assumptions and state them here and I'll gladly give veiled answers to what I mean... Aha

Another is a proper Pokesona with a twist... I want a Ditto Sona, but it means I get to design 4-6 Transformations as the current 'common' forms for them that will all share some common features.

But yea. I'll also get around to updating my contact info too, I'm on Discord and Telegram most commonly. I'll get those slapped into my bio asap.

So, I know things are still a bit... stressed imo with worry on covid, but I'm really likely going to stop by the con for a day. Likely just the Saturday. I Won't have my suit or anything, but I could bring my Werewolf deck if people want to play that. I can also bring my 3DS/Switch for other games as well.

So who's all going? would anyone be interested in meeting up for a bit? I know I'll be masked up so as long as you are ok with that. I have also gotten my shots and booster at the end of 2021, but ended up catching covid in the middle of May and have just gotten over it this past weekend with a negative test. but I seem to have the darn lasting cough from it so that's a pain.

Still sorting out what Art I was able to recover over the years after multiple Hard Drive crashes. They may not be the original higher quality files but I at least want these in multiple places now so I don't risk losing them again. I'll also be putting all the Artist info into them once I get most of them uploaded. Many of the art pieces are fairly old and sometimes the artists move on or seem to leave the fandom or don't wish to be made public. If you are one of the artists of one of the pieces, please feel free to comment on the piece with the info you want me to list it as going forward for reference. Otherwise I'll just link to whatever account I can find for you.
