Posted 6 years agoSo i stopped browsing FA when i got super depressed 2 years ago, and since then, i got somewhere around 32000 submissions notifications. I only browsed journals from time to time, looking for commission openings.
Good news is, I've been feeling increasingly well since 6 months ago, and in december 2018, I think it was the first time in years that I didn't feel unhappy. The constant sadness, uncertainty and suicidal thoughts were gone, and it was... refreshing to finally FEEL something for once. Even though some self-doubt resurfaces once in a while, I think I'm on the right track to function like a normal person again. It feels like I'm coming back alive.
So if you've seen me faving your work from 3 months ago, don't worry - I'm just digging through my submission inbox, looking at all the fantastic art I've missed. I've only gone through 5k so far, there's soooo many of them

My mental health was really bad over the past 2 months and I was unable to draw anything that I'd be satisfied with. I was very slow with trades and commissions. In general, this year I took my first commissions and I was utterly dissatisfied with how I made them. This is why I'm closing both indefinitely. I'm not confident and consistent enough with my art to take money for it. I'm still working on a few commissioned things - I haven't forgotten about you, I just hate to half-ass art and call it a day.
I thought about making ychs instead and coming back to my usual old style of "tiny peeps in huge landscapes". The first one will be a raffle held here on FA, then I'll think of some other ways like ych.commishes.com.
I decided to participate in inktober, but I'm posting my drawings on twitter, to avoid spamming this account too much. Check the out here: twitter.com/andrusnabz

While practicing human anatomy i realised that im also really lacking in animal anatomy, expressions and composition. I'm trying my best to overcome these problems and if I'll be feeling confident enough by the end of the summer, i might be launching commissions or ych auctions ^^

Posted 10 years agoi finished Ori and the Blind Forest a few days ago and this game is impressive. Week or two earlier I finished Dust: an Elysian Tail. Both games were supervised by Microsoft Studios, the first being released 2 years after the other. The progress they made, considering the visuals, is just huge. Not talking about lens flare or something, but the animations - the way Ori tries to climb a wall but fails, or her behaviour when hit - it reflects her personality soooo well <3 However cliche the story may feel, both are very fun to play and have immersive worlds with tons of secrets. I fricking love secrets.
Definitely recommend. Both games.
Also a question: do you know any nice pics with big wintery landscape and small furry characters? I like changing my phone's wallpaper so it matches the season :>
