Also got to poking at that Ranky Danky story a bit more. This one is gonna be a long one, and rather detailed because the thing about Ranky is that he's more talented at hypnosis than his big sis, Rainy, while she is more skilled at weather manipulation. He's also an author, so he's a bit of a dramatic boy in how he likes to play.

So those are the main updates for what I'm working on currently. Hope y'all look forward to that.

So, if you have been enjoying my skunkkpony works, I have a new one up that I think y'all will enjoy. Feel free to give it a read and let me know how you liked it.

That said, I've kinda done a lot of stuff for the Malodoran skunkponies lately, between lore and writing. So, I will probably take a break from them for a while in favor of writing either a non-Malodoran skunkpone thing (I had an idea for a carousel skunkmare based on a piece doronkomajo did a while back. So, if you're the person who commissioned her piece "The Merry-go-round *is* round!", you're awesome and I blame you for the inspiration), a new thing for the Pourrie family, or something for my big, goopy boy, Skunk Gunk.

Or maybe I will just take a skunk break entirely and poke at something else cuz it's been a minute.

We shall see. In the meantime, though, we taking a small break.

Anyone know of artists who are into sorta goopy villains or creatures absorbing? Kinda wanting to look into more Skunk Gunk art in the near-distant future so I'm looking around.

Apparently there's more interest in the lore I started putting together around Maloroda and the skunkponies than I thought. Go figure.

So ... I guess do I like ... start posting just lore docs as I make them? Or just make some sorta discord to chat about them?

The latter would have some ... restrictions, I'll just tell ya now. And likely wouldn't be restricted to my skunkponies (i.e. you might see something like Caudle's from his story over here https://www.fimfiction.net/story/52.....-scentquestria if he chooses to pop in and talk, but no promises). It'd be more "no farting/diapers/ABDL/scat" restrictions - no offense if it's your thing, it's just not mine.

Ranky's story isn't really cooperating, so he's being put on the side for now. Yes, yes, I can imagine he's already puffing his feathers (and tail) indignantly.

I'll just ignore that he can make things very difficult on me.

Anyway. Sorta looking into writing a fic about a few lore things about various verses I've played with. The Pourrie family is certainly one (jfc I need to write about her nieces ...), but so is a figure I mentioned in passing in Rainy Rancid's story - the skunkpony equivalent of Princess Celestia.

Mephestia.

We may be retconning her name, so, if I choose to do so and you go "wait a minute, who?" don't be surprised. I'll just swap it wherever "Mephestia" is mentioned. But I started prodding at an idea for the first skunkpony who lived and how they came to be, and how their magic and various powers developed similarly to ponies but almost as foul as their odor.

So yeah, exciting things. For literally them and them alone.

Anything else with a nose is not gonna be happy tho.

Presently, I'm thinking this is going to tie a couple stories together - Rainy (and, subsequently, Ranky) and Musky Melody. So, this will take place in Rotwater Swamp, deep in the heart of Rotwater Forest, where Musky's statue was retrieved, and we'll get to see how Mephestia created the first skunkponies.

Depending on how I feel, we might even get to see a couple characters you've met, or ancient analogues of them. And if I'm really feeling fun, maybe I'll hint at a couple characters you haven't seen in art or in writing yet.

First and foremost - jfc I need names for this mountain range that's running through Rotwater Forest. End me. I hate naming things.

Y'all get a FifiBabs thing. I had that one going for a while, just needed to finish it. So, enjoy some of that. Kinda worked with an idea I'd discussed with doronkomajo about Penelope or Babs loving their respective lover's scent as they got used to it, and wanting to just enjoy their company and rather finding it enjoyable to have it clinging to their fur. Might come back to that later.

So far the contenders are:

1. More Madame Pourrie - showcasing another example of her powers to show how old she is/how she stays young.

2. Gabrielle Pourrie debut fic - I'd have to think of something so this one wouldn't just be the same thing as Pourrie's fic, given their powers are quite similar.

3. Ranky Danky fic - this one is more ... continue what is already there, but it's shaping up to be way longer than expected and kinda connects with something that would involve Rainy Rancid

4. Musky Melody third fic - showing Musky going from zonking a couple ponies to a crowd. I'll admit, this one is likely gonna be something for later or at least something I'd like art of her singing.

5. Flutterlamia - in which we get to hear a lamia Fluttershy sing a lamified variant of "Hush Now" to someone.

Being a writer is annoying sometimes lol.

Musky Melody might just be the death of me. I'm trying to find a song but I don't know the actual lyrics or the proper beat to use for the Google voice finder to help me find it. I just have a general idea for a refrain that sounds upbeat and peppy for her so it becomes something like:

"... yeah! they ca-an't even breathe!
oh! they all just choke and he-eave! Woo!"

Probably would change these a little ("they ca-an't even breathe" -> "they can barely even breathe") but dammit the fact that I can't find the full song to appropriately skunkify it for her is annoying.

On the plus side, Under Our Spell and Feel It Still are almost frightfully easy to turn into fodder for a siren skunkmare.

No seriously. I hate it so much lmao. Trying to name a new skunkmare is just the absolute worst thing.

Might have a couple ideas with either Rainy Rancid, Ranky Danky, or Foul Fallow. Kinda unsure of who would be into that >.>

How ... would everyone feel if Rainy had a younger brother who possessed the family hypnosis talent as well as a motif more based around writing "love notes" with his special Stink Ink to torment ponies? lol

Specifically "If all the Raindrops".

So yeah. I'm currently working on that as a bit of a notion that she could apply hypno triggers after prolonged exposure to one or both versions of her "Stink Eye" spell.

I have no idea if this is gonna work, but, either way - just think of Ponyville prancing around and singing that during one of her storms.

I'm in that weird state after posting something in which I have ideas for Gabrielle and a vague notion of ... idk something with either Rainy Rancid or a pair of artsy skunkmares, but I am struggling to form them into solidified things that can be actually written.

Gabrielle would be a nice debut fic, admittedly. Ditto the artsymares. RAiny would probably be something with a couple ponies coming home to find it messed up after her musk rainstorms and stumbling into her, ahem, hypnosis.

But yeah, this is just a blah post. Don't mind me.

This one is a bit out there for me, but maybe not. It depends if you've read Urala.

Anyway, the idea came courtesy of Caudle sharing a pic of his lovely elegator, Pachy, on Twitter and thinking back to some of his audio plays - that said, go give him all sorts of love, because that bat is magnificent and has gotten me comfortable with exploring my own interests through his many, many audio dramas and writings. And he's just a lovely bat as well.

So, the idea is that the villain here loves to coil with all eight of their legs, delighting in how his prey squirms and writhes and fights against the hundreds upon hundreds of suckers on each of his legs, crooning at them all the while. And then, they feel a little sting, tiny teeth lining those suckers bite into the skin and dose them with venom. The suckers then begin to, well, suck out their energy, the octopus moans and croons and hugs their prey close, entwining fingers in their hair as they boast of how tasty they are as they drain their prey to a husk and then encase them in their legs and bring them toward their mouth - positioned beneath their body, in the middle of their legs, like an actual octopus - and eat. Alternatively, they keep going and encase their prey in their legs, absorbing them through the suckers.

As for a bit of hypno fun ... I think playing on a bit of the siren idea might be fun. That or have them use a mix of the swaying motion of their legs and the camouphlage ability of octopi to make rippling colors play along their skin. A full body hypno screen, calling you into their embrace.

I might start doing this as a series, perhaps. Just something for y'all to chuckle at or headtilt at me for.

Anyway.

Hmmm, I have ... the weirdest idea for a skunk villain who hypnotizes by a combination of scent and forcing their ass against a minion/thrall-to-be's face and smacking their cheeks a number of times - number determined by how strong the mind and how mushy they want it.

Hell, maybe scent more as a way to make the victim woozy and it's the actual tactile touch that does the hypnosis job. Skunk just prefers to use the ass claps because they find it funny/sexy to do and then turn around and have a mindless thrall with a goofy grin and lolling tongue.

I've seen the video. I saw George Floyd, a man of 46 years of age, die on camera before my eyes. Because some dumbfuck cop kneeled on his neck for nearly nine minutes.

Nine. Minutes.

Try holding your breath for nine minutes. Lemme know how ya do.

This is a travesty of justice, it is a travesty of basic human and civil rights. And what has followed has been utterly disgusting.

I fully denounce violence against police officers and trashing small businesses. HOWEVER. I fully side with the peaceful protestors, those speaking out against this injustice. I will stand with them, especially as we watch police across this country make false claims of violence against protestors, only for video evidence to come out that clearly indicates that either there was prior action taken by police to incite violence or that there was no violence prior to their actions - take Richmond PD for example, hope you idiots enjoy the investigation for gassing those protestors at Lee Memorial.

In closing, I stand for justice for George Floyd. For Breonna Taylor, an innocent woman killed in her own home. I stand for the equality of my fellow Americans and people around the globe.

All lives cannot matter until black lives matter. Police reform is no longer a request, it is a requirement.

Just wanted to make a quick post and say that I'd be opening up commissions! I'm looking at a rate of about $15 per 1k words - so, basically, we discuss a target milestone, if you will, and I aim for that. If I think I'm going to blow past it, I'll let you know and you'll just pay for whatever we agreed upon. Hi there, everyone! How's it going?

Been a bit quiet here lately due to some things going on in real life. Ended up getting nixed for entry into the navy because of an old neck injury they deemed a permanent condition, started teaching myself some programming, and decided to go back to school.

On top of that, I've done some writing, brainstorming, and rp brainstorming. Not much of it was furry, sadly, but I have been chatting with my buddy, Wolfrider, for details on continuing our Werebeasts stories. Work is ongoing on part 2 of Evil Hatches.

In the meantime, I'm also sorta curious to see who might like to RP around. Can be characters I've got here or just made up on the fly. If anyone's interested, feel free to comment or shoot me a note.
