First off: Unless IMVU ANNOUNCES that they will be drastically changing the site, we ain't got shit to worry about.

Anyway, while the new (currently beta) layout is vaguely reminiscent of Weasyl's layout, I think it'll do good for the site overall.

Who would honestly want to disrupt the online lives of everyone that uses SoFurry? It has been down for nearly three whole days, more or less likely due to a DDoS campaign against SoFurry in particular. Have we really gone back nearly a decade, because it's apparently now the cool and "hip" thing to demonize furries again. I can just imagine the person responsible for doing this is sitting in his basement, cheeto powder all over himself, bitching and whining "The furries have ruined EVERYTHING! I'm gonna make them PAY!" Even though the users of SF have done nothing wrong. Then again, I guess I should apologize for the furry community not being a bunch of socially awkward people who like to dress as animals anymore.

I must ask one simple question: Why are there those who want the furry fandom to die, forcing the community websites into near constant states of unusablity via DDOs-ing, and referring to physical violence, like the chemical attack on a furcon a couple of months ago? What exactly have we done that is so wrong? I mean, if we were to be referred as a race, these would technically be hate crimes, and that, simply put, is not cool, not at all. Of course, one can only assume that the person/persons responsible were banned from the various furry sites (SF, Here, Inkbunny, Weasyl, F-List, E621, to name a few), and are seeking retaliation/retribution, but this isn't right. If you've been banned from a site, there's probably a good reason for it, like repeatedly breaking the Code Of Conduct, for example. Of course, though, these attacks have only gotten to the severity they're at now as of late, from mid September to now. Why is it that we can't get along, in the twenty first century, of the second millennium since the death of Jesus Christ? Regardless of the various news stories that show furries in a bad light, we're not ALL that fucked up! Then again, there are some who do this just for the hell of it, and to those who are that kind of low, I only have three simple, easy to understand words: Go. Fuck. Yourselves. We have no beef with you, so why must you try to ruin our days by constantly spamming the various sites, which are one of the only ways we can actually connect, aside from going to cons, which not all of us can do. As a proud member of this fandom, no, family, I can only request from everyone, furry or not, to set aside our differences, and look inside and realize, "Oh, wait, I'm pretty fucked up, too." I will be keeping comments open for discussion.
