So, I need a new character design I've got in my head atm turning into reality in the form of some art (or even a ref sheet).
But I've not had to do this before, and I'm terrible at art myself, so what's the best way of finding out who's good, who's available for commissions and who would take on a new character design from scratch?
Any help or suggestions really welcomed :)

Posted 13 years agoSo, when I first joined this fandom, many moons ago, my character was a dawg. I've always had an affinity almost like a proper connection with dogs - dunno how to explain it, just, I dunno... if I wasn't who I am, I'd have been a dog. No doubt about it.
So yeah, anyway. When I moved to Manchester for uni and met awesome people up here, who reintroduced the fandom to me properly, my character changed to that of a bear (probs cos I'm a bigger guy, as were most of my mates up here) - and that's stayed.
But in an ideal world, I'd have a bit of both. I'm defo more doggy than I am burr! But though I see characters all the time like Folfs and the like, who are spliced from two species... can a Bear and a Dog be combined?
Thoughts please. :3

About Time...

How long have I been here, and said nothing?
I have a habit of that though, as those who have known me for a while will confirm. I will tend to vanish for weeks or months - work builds up, life gets in the way, and before you know it, the sites like FA and UKFur have been reshelved sub-consciously towards the deeper dimly-lit recesses of my mind.
It's not personal. It really isn't. I just don't have a desk job, or a job where I'm at a computer for any part of the day, so I tend to forget it's there. But the truth is, I like this place. And I like you all. (well, MOST of you. :P) and I really need to start paying more attention, and spending a little more time here!
So quick post to bring you up to speed (not that anyone's *really* that interested, but hey, what the heck!) -
I'm in my twenties - I'm a burr in real life as well as the 'sona side of me (well, I'mma big guy. Saying 'bear' makes it sound sexier to me, so shhh!). I live in Manchester, though I'm originally from the West Midlands. I got here via Shrewsbury (love the place) and settled here after studying for 3yrs full time here at Uni.
I've a wonderful partner in who I'm very lucky to be sharing my life with right now, him having relocated up here from Birmingham to live with me. #VeryHappyBurr He's recently bravely taken the step to go back to College (in Birmingham!) in order to obtain a Games Design qualification to enable him to pursue his dreams career-wise - something I'm endlessly proud of him for doing! :)
As I've said, I work full time for a TOC (Train Operating Company, for the non-geeks here) so I tend to do silly days in a row at work, and long hours (average shift is 11-12hrs), but we do get discounted travel as a result, so I can't complain *too* much! :D
In my spare time, I enjoy music, football, and gaming. It'd be nice to get out and make a few more friends locally, and meet a few of you fellow furs - work and college permitting!
Blah'd on enough now. Be good to hear from any of you that *did* get this far. Any questions, fire away. I'm a pretty open, friendly and approachable burr!
