For Nanowrimo this year I'm working on a novel meant to appeal to MLP fans, but it contains no copyrighted material.

It's a new fantasy world with its own mythology and history, unicorns, pegasi, and other critters. Imagine Game of Thrones with magical horsies, and you're not too far off.

In other news, I was laid off last week, extremely suddenly. They laid off four people including me in the space of an hour, before noon on a Tuesday. My supervisor shadowed me as I collected the few personal belongings I had, and escorted me out, making me feel so rushed I forgot to say goodbye to a few people.

I'm eligible for unemployment, and I'm going to try to use the downtime to earn my A+ and make myself more marketable, find better work. It's just hard right now when it's so fresh, so raw.

I'm looking for a new (used) car because mine has pretty much bitten the dust. It still runs and drives, but it leaks every time I refuel it, and the muffler has gone so it's loud as a Harley. I've been trying to get my mitts on a Scion xb based on recommendations from friends, but not many people who own them want to give them up, it seems.

I've been working on a new website using Wordpress. We'll see how that works out. It seems like something I'd update more often at least, because the tools are better.
