So my friend who passed recently' s funeral was today and it was so bad. All of my friend's chosen family is a wreck.
It did not go well. I'm not doing well.

Hey all!

A lot has been happening recently and I realized I haven't updated FA on what's been going on yet.
I'm sorry to my commissioners that have been waiting for a while. I'm still working on it when I can but I don't have much time right now.

Recently, me and my spouse decided to get a dog! It's been fun so far but he's not doing well with our cats. We've spent the last 2 weeks doing desensitization trainings but nothings been helping him. Now that we've started bonding to him, we're coming to the realization and heartbreak that we're going to have to return him to the shelter we got him from.
Trying to adjust our schedules to accommodate a dog has been difficult and watching him constantly is taking up most of my time since I don't have a job other than streaming/art commissions. A lot of the responsibility has fallen on me and I've been severely falling behind on a lot of things, especially timelines on commissions and youtube videos.

Another thing that has happened is a friend of ours has very recently, unexpectedly died. It took a lot of us by surprise since he was turning his life around and seemed to come out of no where. I haven't asked what he died from yet. It doesn't seem like my place but it does hurt. We have the wake to go to in about 12 hours and the funeral tomorrow. It's... difficult.

All in all, I'm sorry I've been taking so long. I am still working on things it's just that many things are on my plate right now and I'm hurting.
Things will get done, just slowly.

I've been thinking about this for a while but I think I'm going to pause my Patreon. Or at the very least, I don't think I'm going to post there anymore. Maybe I'll start uploading again in the future but for now, I don't think I know completely how to properly maintain it.

So we just had a leak from our upstairs bathroom into our living room. It happened in a spot that had a water damage spot from the previous owners. We moved in around 3-4 months ago and our inspector ensured us that it was an old spot and he couldn't find any moisture there. We were wanting to save up some money so we could get someone to check it out and replace anything that needs replacing but with receant developments, that'll be sooner than expected.

I'm currently unemployed and my spouse is currently on short-term disability through their work so our money is really tight right now. Our insurance might not cover this since it's technically an "old leak" so we really need the money to help fix our ceiling!

I'm opening up some emergency $5 headshot sketch commissions to help cover some of the costs. I'll be streaming these tonight for a few hours but I will continue to do them during the rest of the week (hopefully before the contractors come and tear open our ceiling).

Howdy!

It's been a long time since I've logged into this site. I guess it's about time to provide an explanation and a life update.

So about 2 years ago I got scammed pretty bad but thanks to the help of some emergency commissions and a LOT of picked up shifts at work, me and my fiance were able to make the payment and avoided a ton of debt trouble.
Since then, I became a manager at my local craft store, left that place, and started a full time job! It pays so much more. So much that I even bought a house! It's small and not very far away from my current rental place. It's almost 100 years old so we've had to do give it some TLC but it's doing really well. We'll be moving in soon, just have to get some new floors in and we can start the move!

Working full time and especially at this job is very hard to keep up with my hobbies. I've been wanting to come back for so long but I felt like I had nothing to contribute. Having been gone for so long has also not helped! This site has changed so much since I've been gone it's very foreign.

I've been feeling more and more like I should get back into drawing. Hopefully I can get some stuff out!

I haven't been online very much recently because I've been recovering from a big financial loss.  I won't say the final amount that we owed but everything is taken care of and if I didn't have the $101 that YOU GUYS helped me earn, I don't think I could have done it.

I am left with only a little bit left for rent and then my next paycheck comes in and I think for a very long time I will be rebuilding my savings.  I will open up regular commissions soon and things will be going back to normal.

I saw this happening recently and I didn't understand why it kept happening even if I sent an invoice. Now it makes more sense.

"First of all, as a lot of you know Paypal isn't necessarily furry friendly and a lot of furs have been banned from using their services if they find out they are furry related. This is because they assume that any furry related transaction is porn and they do not allow sales for pornography. Paypal usually links this to the notes attached to the transactions that say keywords like "Furry, porn, any links to FA, nudes" etc

Not only that, but now that paypal has introduced the attached shipping address to every transactions, some accounts are being banned for not "shipping items" because they do not attach a tracking number to their transactions. With every transaction there is a box you can click that says "No shipping needed" if you do not click that box it will automatically send your shipping information. Not only is this, kind of sketchy but you are giving out personal information that isn't necessary.

With all this being said, whenever you send a payment to me please make sure you click "No address needed"."

On top of this, if you do not click "No Address Needed", a fee gets taken out. If you don't do this, it also hurts artists who rely on these payments for bills!

Alright so I absolutely hate doing this. I'm a proud and stubborn person and I've already put this off for weeks. I hate asking for help like this but me and my fiance are working ourselves to the bone and we can only make so much in such a little amount of time. I need help.

So here's what happened. Without going to too many details, a friend of mine introduced me to a site that could help me and my partner make some extra money (We were already in a poor financial place and we were desperate), we checked it out, we got scammed, and now we owe a lot to the bank. I'm kind of embarrassed to say how much we owe and we can pay off most of it with our life savings but we can't get it all.

If we don't pay it off, we're worried that the bank will take our car away. The only thing we own that is worth anything is our car. Also, after we pay the huge amount, I'm scared we won't have enough for bills or rent and end up down a really long road of trying to play catch-up.

We've been scraping by with the car payments, rent, and electricity that our cats haven't gone to the vet in about a year. One of them needs to be spayed and the other needs shots but we couldn't afford that anyways. I have medical issues that need to be looked at by a doctor but I was kicked off my parent's insurance this year. It's been tough. Now with this I'm scared I might end up homeless before long.

I will be opening up emergency commissions that will get done as fast as possible.
