Posted 10 years agoGuess who just got a job offer in Kansas? That’s right, it’s me! Guess who is really really broke? That’s right, it’s also me! Moving halfway across the country is pretty expensive and I’d like to minimize the amount of money I need to borrow… So, I’ve got this awesome Etsy shop and now would totally be a great time to buy something! And, between now and April 1st, you can use the coupon code MOVING and get 15% off of any order $10 or more!
You can check out my Etsy shop right here:
https://www.etsy.com/shop/animuspanthera
I’ve got all kinds of cool stuff! I might also be able to take a few commissions buuut they’ll have to be really quick stuff OR stuff you don’t mind waiting a little while for! Anyways, if you’ve got any questions or are interested in a commission, you can email me at animus.panthera@gmail.com. Also, signal boosts appreciated! Thanks!

Commissions, anyone?
Posted 10 years agoAlthough I started my new job back in February, my first pay day isn’t until March 18th! Yeesh! So if anyone would be interested in some quick little commissions, now would be a great time. I can’t take on anything big (I’ve got a coat and a quilt to finish first!), but I just got some high-quality marker paper and I’ve got a whole bunch of tiny metal things on which I would be happy to paint. (And although all of these examples are birds, it doesn’t have to be birds! I can in fact draw other things.)
If you're interested, email me at animus.panthera[at]gmail.com
Marker drawings start at $15
Example: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/15931056/
Tiny paintings* start at $30
Example: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/13057482/
(*I’ve got a handful of metal things- a few spoons and silverware handles, and some antiqued copper disks. Other things can be acquired, too, including mini-canvases if you want something a little bit larger.)

Corsets!
Posted 12 years agoI already had a bunch of corset-making supplies and yesterday my cousin gave me a bunch more, so if you ever really wanted a custom made corset I can TOTALLY make you one right now. No seriously I have so much corset supplies lying around... I also have the materials to make a garter belt (or add garter clips to a corset) if someone was hoping for something a little sexy. I am actually relatively good at making corsets- I’ve made 5 custom corsets already. I’ve even figured out a way to do it long-distance! Since I do the patterning myself (I do not use pre-made patterns), they would be essentially fully customizable.
Question
Posted 12 years agoYou know those fleece hats with ears? Out of curiosity, what do you think of this idea: fleece hat, but the ears are faux fur instead of fleece (the idea is kind of that it looks like you have real ears sticking out of a hat, rather than a hat with ears on it).
Commissions!
Posted 12 years agoWith Otakon over, I'm now accepting commissions! If you're interested in a commission, please send me an email at animus.panthera [at] gmail.com with the details.
These are the things I'm especially interested in taking right now:
-Hats (felt, fleece, or buckram)
-Vest (just one slot)
-Jacket (just one slot)
-Possibly a fursuit (full, partial, or just mask all fine)
Original designs only, NO cosplay commissions- I’ll give you a 10% discount if you want me to design it for you, too!
Also:
-Digital art
-Clothing design- Pick an era (and/or a style) and I’ll design something for you! Please feel free to give me as much or as little wiggle room as you like, and please note that these will be historically based, not historically accurate. There is an art to creating historically accurate pieces and I am not trained in it, so there you go. Photo of yourself optional, I will probably not draw you personally because I am terrible at drawing people but a photo might give me a feel for what colors/silhouettes/etc. might suit you.
-Character design (animal/anthro characters only)- pretty self explanatory. Limited to animal, anthro, taur (etc.) characters mainly because of my aforementioned problem with drawing humans (whups).
I will of course consider other kinds of commissions as well! (Jewelry, plushies/art dolls, accessories, etc.) However, I would be most interested in the stuff on the first list, followed by the stuff on the second list, and only then in other stuff, so someone else might get first dibs if they want something from the lists and you don’t!

Otakon!
Posted 12 years agoOtakon is coming up in just a few weeks! I'm pretty busy around here preparing- I'll be doing 3 new costumes and a revamp of last year's Magic Knights Rayearth costume. I will also be giving a panel! If you're there, please stop by for Let's Talk Swords: Problematic Props and Annoying Armor! It will be Friday at 1:45 p.m.! It'll be myself, Kikuka-chan, and Sarah (a.k.a. the Magic Knight Rayearth trio), and we'll be discussing prop-making and a wide range of different materials.
I'll also post a costume schedule later (how novel! I've never had so many costumes at a single con before, ha ha), but 3/4 of the costumes are Umi Ryuzaki variants so you can just keep an eye out for the long blue wig most of the time! If you see me, please feel free to stop me and say hello!
ALSO: If you happen to know any photographers who might be willing to do a photoshoot with my MKR trio, please put them in touch with me! You can give me their contact info or tell them they can email me at animus.panthera [at] gmail.com with their rates and availability. We're hoping for something on location (location TBD) in the week or so after the convention (it'll be a big photoshoot, as we'll probably do all three of the MKR costumes and I might also want to do a few with my fourth costume as well).

Commissions
Posted 12 years agoJust quickly sounding out any potential interest in commissions! Three types:
-Artisan crafts, small things only- stuff like bags and other accessories, jewelry, simple hats, etc. For examples please check out my DeviantArt gallery.
-Clothing designs- I’m mostly offering because a.) I like drawing and researching/designing clothes and want an excuse to do it more and b.) this is the sort of thing I would totally commission some artists I know to do, so I figure I might not be the only person out there who is interested. Pick an era (and/or a style) and I’ll design something for you! Please feel free to give me as much or as little wiggle room as you like, and please note that these will be historically based, not historically accurate. Kickstarter for a collaborative art book I am organizing!
Posted 13 years agoHey there!
So I have been organizing this collaborative art book called Losing Altitude. The theme is threatened and endangered birds, and it will have over 40 artists from around the world and more than 100 pages of beautiful, full-color art work, as well as information on each of the species pictured.
You can check out the Kickstarter campaign here:
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects.....ss-through-art
Scroll down for some previews of the gorgeous art!
I would really appreciate it if you could take a look and maybe help me get the word around. The Kickstarter has until December 26th at 7 p.m. EST to reach the funding goal of $7500 or else the book will not be published. Myself and all of the artists involved are really excited for this project, so even if you can only donate $1 or just tell your friends about it, it would still help a lot!

Hooray!
Posted 16 years agoI've had my DeviantArt for a while now, and I thought it was about time to get a FurAffinity account too... But I think I'll stick to my animal-related art here, for the sake of spam avoidance.
In random other news, I found a perfect club here on campus! There's an organization called the Raptor Club, which cares for unreleasable birds of prey and trains them to use in educating the public. Thursday will be my first chance to interact with and hold the birds. I'm so excited!
Also, I'm currently taking commissions! Please visit my DeviantArt for more information at http://animus-panthera.deviantart.com or email me at animus.panthera[at]gmail.com with any questions.
