Posted 12 years agoLong story short, me and Lush Lioness decided to mutually separate. We're staying friends and we figured it was for the best. No hard feelings...but I've come to the realization that I probably don't know how to love.
So I'm especially not in the mood for Valentine's Day stuff this year.
On another note, I have job orientation on Monday! I'm one step closer to Furry Connection North in two months now with this new income coming in. Yay. :3
Not going to say much else here...now time for me to go hide in a hole until tomorrow, when candy is severely discounted...also, the LAFF Bowling meet is Saturday. :P

So this week.... <3
Posted 13 years ago...has probably been the best week of my life...OR one of them at least.
For starters, I had a job interview on the 21st of January for a zoo in the suburbs. From the city limits of Chicago to the suburbs, it took me 90 minutes to get there and four buses. It didn't help that it was only about three degrees outside, so I probably died somewhere at least once. :P
A few hours later, I get a callback and they offer me the job. Yay! My life in this aspect is finally coming together! I have been dying for a job for a long time and now that I have one, I'm gonna do it well. Oh, in case you were wondering, I'm going to be a ticket attendant at the zoo starting in March.
Now this has made me reconsider my con choices a little bit. I'm not sure about Anthrocon anymore for this year because the zoo requires pretty much all hands on deck for the 4th of July weekend. If I can make it, I'll probably end up missing the 4th itself, but the rest of the con could be doable. Other cons may now be possible including, of all cons, Anime Central. I also have a couple of others in mind...but that will take planning...lots of it! I'll try hard to make it to more cons this year now, too.
One quick note to mention was that I unexpectedly recieved some extra money from left over refund money that was delayed. I put in an order for an Android tablet, and I was supposed to get it today. However, I derped horribly when trying to get it and the post office closed before I could pick it up. I'll be getting it on Monday though.

~AniroRandom Library Musings [Thought-puke #1]
Posted 13 years agoThis is the first in a series of journals I'll simply call Thought-puke. This is in which I'll just do a random and spontaneous journal from time to time seemingly out of nowhere.
Soooo, my internet is out at my cousins' place because one of them decided that after New Year's, they'd cut it off. Overreaction? I think so. Thank god I start school next week, so I'll probably kill loads of time there while also writing more musings for 2013. My muse hibernated itself out a little bit after MFF, but that was mainly because of finals and Christmas and all of the shenanigans that happened recently on New Year's, but six weeks went by REALLY fast and I'm kinda glad to have had a good break for once.
I kinda hate making resolutions for myself for New Year's, but I do have one or two to actually get going on that are just long overdue for me:
- Character development of Aniro and other characters for online RP and storywriting
- Write all of the things!
Not much of a resolution list...
My last journal was a little rushed because I was typing it all on
eriklepp's computer and we were late for a small furmeet in the west end of Chicago. Lots of fun was had...and I really can't wait for the next LAFF meets in the suburbs, because they're a lot of fun. If you live near a monthly fur meet in your area, I highly recommend giving one a try.
I also suggest that if you're in love with someone that you should turn all audio devices around you off that aren't yours. Lately, I've been getting trolled by love songs on the radio, lushlioness and 
foxtommy have made a point of laughing at me every time one plays whenever I'm around those crafty fuzzballs. It doesn't help that the next "Hallmark holiday" is Valentine's Day...yuck.
Still looking for a job...not much else to say about that...
Also started up a #WisdomTwitter: @LoneWolfWisdom if you want to follow that because I have too many deep thoughts and I don't do enough FA journals, nor do I write enough!
One final note: Pokemon X and Y out in October. New generation, and holy crap all of the Fennekin art that's suddenly popped up! That's all that needs to be said.

Posted 13 years agoHappy New Year, my friends! I haven't done one of these in a while, but I've come to terms with some things in my life in the last month or so and now that 2012 is said and done, I can start looking forward to more positives in my life.
For pretty much all of December, I've been hanging with furs, mainly eriklepp and lushlioness as well as more recently 
nekari89 amongst others. I've become a lot more grateful towards the furry fandom than I ever have because I can thank them for me not going insane at the end of the year! Without them, I'd be a very lonely lone wolfmuttface and I'm grateful for everyone that I've met at MFF, the LAFF meet (yes, I finally went to a meet!) and at the New Year's Eve Con that I went to on 12.31.12. I love you guys!
As for the NYE Con itself, it was awesome! The whole time was a blur, but here's the gist of it:
Left Erik's house to go to the con, took public transit to do it because I had no ride. I ended up getting lost in the mall right near the hotel... The thing that saved me from getting completely lost was a Microsoft Store! I ended up gathering myself enough from staring at the shiny new technology (I still don't have a computer! D:) to find directions. A fifteen-minute walk later, and I made it three hours early. I had the awesome pleasure of first meeting 
blueicehusky and from the little time I've met him, he's made me laugh more times than I can remember.
Soon enough more furs came: Erik, 
cavixdarkstone, Lush, and several others and all of the fun was had. Video games, snacks to nom on, and just a lot of chill fun. I even got close to a fur and I wanna get to know her more. The countdown to the new year was fun and I'm grateful still that I had the fun and pleasure to hang out with friends to bring in 2013!
I'm heading to more gatherings and I'm gonna meet more people in 2013, because lone wolves need friends, and I love you guys. I'll see you soon~

Posted 13 years agoThis would be the point in which I feel like filling out this journal from start to finish. But then I'd be lying to myself. Personally, after the way this year has gone, I feel like I don't deserve a lot of things: kindness, love, physical items...I've had to bust my ass off and I still am. I feel even worse seeing all of the other wishlists in my journal queue and I feel like...I feel like I'd be doing a disservice to ask for what I want when I probably don't deserve it and that I probably wouldn't afford to give anything either. I'm still crashing at my aunt and cousins' apartment, I'm still looking for a job in Chicago, and I'm still pushing through school with BARELY an inkling of motivation that I've missed out on since...my junior year of high school.
I don't deserve anything, I haven't asked for anything for Christmas this year, and I probably won't get anything from any immediate family that still cares. I'm grateful that I have family that still cares after the nightmare, and I feel like I'm starting to wake up. This wolf warrior needs to emerge stronger for 2013, and I've come to realize that. I don't deserve anything because I've already had people sacrifice a lot for my sake this year.
So...yeah...I hope you understand why I'm not doing the meme.

I would go into a long recap of my life in the last month, but I'll just give you the TL;DR version: Got thrown out of roommate's by his grandfather over bullshit and hypocrisy, slept in a homeless shelter for three nights, was taken in by my aunt and cousins, job hunting job hunting job hunting, school bullshit, thinking about a vixen (which led to "A Bad Vixen's Tricks"), writing plotting writing plotting, refund check on Halloween, and preparing for MFF.
Now that all that's done, let's get to the meat of this journal: Midwest FurFest 2012.
I went to the Hyatt Regency O'Hare in Rosemont on Thursday afternoon after class and a whole bunch of running around in Chicago. I took the train from meeting up with someone in the far South Side, which took me about 60 minutes (the Red Line is so slow...). Got my badge and met up with (finally!) eriklepp right from the start! I also decided that this year was gonna be the year I'd finally gopher the con as appreciation for all of the awesomeness that they were proud of making last year. Since I didn't make it in time though, I had to settle for two spots on Friday (Adult Art Show) and Saturday (Con Suite), and me and Erik actually managed to get Saturday together, which was nice. Hung out with him and other furs for a while before taking the train back to the Southlands of Chicago around 8 PM. I really didn't want to go though, but since my room wasn't open until tomorrow...oh well.
Friday came and so did the first day of the con, and I was actually taking my friend Roka with me! Little did I know that I'd also be bringing a third person along for the day: her friend Kali, not that I minded at all. It was a generally uneventful time on the L for the nearly two-hour train ride from Midway, but we made it! Made it to the room where I met 
kwipper, 
Nomad76, and a few others in the room. But I didn't get to hang out with them for that long, because I was needed at the art show. That was a little boring, admittedly, but that got half of my hours!
Went on back to the room to chill with roommates...then went to my first rave of the weekend. So much fun, and I have never seen so many fursuiters in one room before...or so I would think until tomorrow. Stayed up for a long while until I went to bed, because I have begun to realize that I don't go to bed until really late at cons!
ONWARDS TO SATURDAY! I wake up with only 15 minutes before I go to the con suite! So a quick shower and everything and I sprint down on my horribly used legs from the night before to barely make it...but Erik's not there yet! I take my spot in Con Suite, checking badges and everything...and it was a boring hour...until Erik finally wakes up and makes it to Con Suite. They stick him in the kitchen making sandwiches while I'm checking badges! I was so hungry...
The one eventful part of working the Saturday portion of the Con Suite is that right down the hall was the start of the fursuit parade! I took video of the whole thing from my vantage point, and I thought it was a lot of fun. I was worried that with me recording, that I'd have trouble checking badges for the Con Suite, but I had no problems.
After the parade finished, Roka came by to tell me she sadly had to leave the con early. She had something to do with a friend and family issues came, which always sucks especially if you're trying to enjoy the weekend at one of the biggest furry conventions in the world. She had a really great time Friday night though, and if anyone saw her (the red and black vixen on stage on Friday night), just know that she is an awesome person who will instantly make your life better. :3
Back to the con now, and Kwipper thought it'd be a good idea to drag me down into a DJing panel, because, well, I'm a little bit interested in perhaps doing that. I used to work a year at a radio station, so the equipment looks similar to me, but I'd probably need to get a crash course in the programs and equipment involved. Nevertheless, that was still fun, and it kinda helped me appreciate DJs a little more...which leads on to my search for a party. Couldn't find one, but I still had fun. Met a few new friends, and lots of fun was had nevertheless!
Then comes the rave, which I actually showed up an hour early for the fursuit dance. 
firr's set was awesome, and so were the others on stage that night, me being one of them! I showed up again near the end of it, and Kwipper has video somewhere of the end of that rave, but you don't want to see me on stage wearing bright green overload (ears and tail and shit), now do you? Do you? Well if I can find that video, I'll share. :3
Wandered around a little bit more. Finally found 
samuikon, but he kept denying me booze which apparently was highly questionable. He owes me alcoholic stuffs now. I hung around again in the Hyatt, looking around for more furs. Hung out with 
kiliankray (SKRAT), Kwipper, and other furs from out of town. Had a little bit of hilarious fun when when Kilian was given this freaky mask...omg, lolz were had!
Onto Sunday comes the con. Had sushi with Kwipper and another roommate who was also making it to a furcon for the first time. The sushi in the Hyatt is WICKED EXPENSIVE, but delicious. Didn't go to closing ceremonies because goodbye feels too final. I also wandered down to the dealers den, gave a bit of business to some people, and even won a free sketch courtesy of 
p_moss! I also decided around that point somewhere that I'd commit myself to going to Anthrocon 2013 instead of #FailCon. One furry con a year isn't enough for me, and I think I can definitely say screw ACen for next year.
Went to the deaddog rave for a little while, but I wasn't feeling it! So I wandered around again, hung out with furries...then went back to the room when Kwipper decides to buy pizza! More delicious pizza noms were had! Then we watch random YouTube bullshit about game corruption, and I could have sworn somewhere along the lines there was a yiff reference in one of those videos...an UNINTENDED YIFF REFERENCE!? Aaaand then powernap...
When I wake up, the next thing I hear from Kwipper is that there's a party, but we didn't hear about it until about 12:30 in the morning. Little did I know that I'd meet some pretty fucking awesome furs there. 
Lupine_Silvertail is an amazing bartender for one, and if he didn't live in North Carolina, I'd gladly buy more! Also met many other furs whose Twitters I may or may not have known, but I suck at finding their FAs. I know 
motofox, whose Dubstep Nyan shirt I tweeted about got the attention of one 
prguitarman (who was also at the con, but not at this party), and some others. Before the party went on further...the FIRE ALARM WENT OFF! It was ACen all over again!
I will say this much: It was cold as hell when the alarm went off and we had to evac the executive wing. However, MFF security should be lauded, because I heard mixed reactions about the one that went off at FurFright last month, and don't fucking get me started on the debacle that ACen and their godawful IRT security had at the whole con. MFF security kept it mostly smooth...and hell, they even encouraged furpiles to keep warm! Managed to get in the furpile with so many furs whose names just slip my mind right now.
After that, the party had to end, which sucked...but the night wasn't over for me. I ran into one of my roommates, who had a cute suiter nearby following him around...and after that, Erik popped up again! We hung for a bit before we both became derpyfurs. Let's just say after one or two drinks, I apparently tend to get all deep and feely towards people in a good way. At least that's what I've figured out after the few times I've drank at cons (MFF was my first 21+ furcon, and my first 21+ con was ACen this year :3).
Snoozed for a few hours before it came time to check out finally on Monday morning. I so didn't want to go, but I didn't know what else to do! I hung around with Samui in the lobby, when him, Lupine, and 
shadee all danced to Gangnam Style. Not much else happened until I peeked at Twitter, only to soon end up finally meeting with, of all furs, 
scottjfox! The #TwitterFurs all gathered...or, well, a few of us at least, for a post-con goodbye. I wish I had hung with him some more, and I hope I see him again at AC next year.
And that pretty much does it. I met so many old and new faces at Midwest FurFest this year, and I can't wait for next year already. I'm grateful for everything the staff does and I'm grateful to have lent a paw as a fellow gopher this year! The free badge for next year is a bonus and I had a great time meeting so many! I love you all!

Life with a roommate...again...
Posted 13 years agoSigh...so another moment comes and goes in my life. My old house is currently up for sale in the city, and I'm still trying to get my shit together. We'll see how it goes. I'm seeing someone to talk to about my problems in life, that way I don't go crazy trying to digest them all, and I've also decided that it would be best if I tried to find inspiration to get back into writing. I've been out of it for a while and I want to do something that isn't a damn essay for school. We'll see how that goes.
In the meantime, I've been living with a guy in Chicago since August and I've been really grateful. On the outside at first, he just seemed like a normal guy just staying with his grandparents, but now I've come to realize something: I don't like living with roommates.
He isn't the first roommate that I've had to stay with though. A few years ago when I started school in Iowa, I had a roommate in the writers' dorms who was completely different from me. Sure, we got along at first, got to know each other, as well as our differences. But soon, it was the little things between us, then they slowly got bigger. One borrowed spare change from the other, one smoked pot in the bathroom while the other watched hentai or something, shit like that. I'll admit that it was me who kinda stirred up some really nasty shit a month before my last semester in Iowa ended, and it caused me to move out of the room early into another one. That's how that shit ended.
Here I am now, to a new place, trying to start over, trying to just do what i need to do to get going in my life. Again, I will reiterate that I'm wholeheartedly grateful that he took me in after my mom was getting evicted back in August. Now just a few months later, I find myself into a similar situation as in Iowa, with a few exceptions. For one, there are tolerances of cleanliness that we can take, and between me and him: they vary way too much for me to be comfortable. Secondly, he has a lot of pets to keep up with and at times, he's undisciplined with training them (especially if said pets are his three cats). Thirdly, he has issues in other manners. Let's leave it at that. I could go on and on, but I'm going to bite my tongue because then it would become too personal.
Long story short, I'm comfortable with the fact that I'm not sleeping on the streets of Chicago or with my mom somewhere right now, but that's really it. Right now, I'm stuck because of school and the job market in Chicago is absolute garbage. I do have a few friends here in the city, but none that would be willing to take me in unless I found a job and rent money (or if I won the lottery, but I'd have better luck getting shot). A fur in Florida is actually and actively trying really hard to move me down there so I could start over, but I still have friends in Illinois that I don't want to let go. I actually have a few friends in Illinois that actually care. I'm really considering just up and moving, but to where? And how? It simply won't work for me without the money to do so right now.

So yeah, things between me and my mate didn't work out. I don't want to talk about it, but all I can say is that it's over. It's the first time that I've had to break up with somebody and honestly, it sucks. I felt empty for a little while, but I think we're going to stay friends and I'm perfectly fine with that.
In the meantime, I've been catching up on school and I've come to the realization that midterms are coming. Holy crap. I guess that means I need to hunker down with my schoolwork a little more. I'm starting to fall back into this old routine and it's been a hard four weeks to start school again. I'm also preparing for my future, but I've come to realize that I can't be alone. I've asked for help, advisors, counselors, crap like that. I don't wanna go into too much detail, but I'm clearing my mind while also regaining some sort of focus.
Still looking for a room for MFF for me and 
gardiken, but probably won't be able to pay for the room until October because midterms are a bitch.
Listening to Casey LaLonde's "No One Can Say We Didn't Try" and to be honest, it's a pretty fitting song for what's been going on in my life. Still moving along, but at least no one can say that I'm not trying to move on.

Posted 13 years agoSo it's been a crazy-ass month for me, and I've got class in 9 minutes so I gotta make this quicker than I thought it'd be.
I'm working on going to Midwest Furfest in about two-and-a-half months and I'm looking for a room right now. There may also be a chance that I could get my friend gardiken to finally come down here to Chicago for it. We're working on that. Personally, I don't care if I sleep on the floor as long as he's comfortable on a sofa or something, but I'm looking for a room and preferably close to the con compared to the hotel I was at last year...which was kinda ratty.
I've also been talking a lot to my mate 
forevertrolling about fursuits lately. My opinion is that they feel awkward...but around furries, if you want to fit in....well, it makes sense. I haven't been in a fursuit before and honestly, I've just never seen it as my thing... I dunno why exactly, but it just hasn't for me. But now I've decided that I'm going to delve into them a little bit more. I am, at this time, debating whether or not I want to get a partial of Aniro. It sounds like fun, and I just want to try that out. Maybe it'll grow on me over time? We'll see. I need the money to fork down on one first! D:
Last but not least, me not living with my mother anymore has opened up a lot of opportunities for me. For one, I could be getting my drivers' license as soon as the end of the year (provided that I get my shit together like documents and whatnot). That alone will allow me to go further. Also, I want to go to other cons than just MFF and ACen (which I'm seriously debating just outright skipping next year after #FailCon). My options at this time for 2013 include Megaplex, FCN, and maybe even Anthrocon. My only other trips long term include big Pokemon tournaments like Regional championships, Nats next year, and possibly even Worlds in Canada (but that's a stretch unless I inexplicably win nats!).
Also, does anyone have a PSN? Feel free to add me as DestinyWolfAniro. That's kinda my only way to talk to people right now because it's my only form of internet at my new place...until I get a new tablet soon. :P
Lately, I've been playing Skylanders and I've gotten started on the Assassin's Creed series because I wanna get caught up before getting ACIII in October. If anyone wants to see the rest of the games I play, just ask and maybe we can get something going. :3

It's hard to overstate my satisfaction...
It's official.
As of August 15th, I'm no longer living with my mother. She officially got evicted and now I don't know where she is, for all I know she might not even be in Chicago anymore. I don't care. I hope my siblings do well, I will really miss them, but my mom is going to try to ruin their lives. As for me? Well, I've simply decided to start over. I'm no longer worrying about my mom because she has had no contact with me since the 4th of August when my phone went out.
For anyone who does have my cell phone number, it will get changed, so I'll end up mass-texting you the new number soon.
I'm currently typing this not in a library, but in the school I'm now going to in downtown Chicago. I have class in over an hour, so I have had time to spare for this. So far, it looks like my mom isn't bothering to come after me. Looks like I was right to call her bluff as well.
I plan on getting a new tablet pretty soon, and later on I have plans to go to Midwest FurFest in November, and also to see forevertrolling before the year is out. <3

So let's see what I can get done, which probably isn't gonna be much because Chicago Public Library computers suck ass. Long story short, haven't done much at all this week other than get ready to move. If you're following me on Twitter (@LoneWolfAniro), you'd have seen me do a countdown for a thing called #OperationUnleashTheWolfWarrior. Basically, it's a really really awesome way of saying that I'm going to be free, I'm going to be finally unleashed from the hell I've lived. I have 12 days to do it, and pretty soon, the world will turn on its head for the better for me.
At this point, it's safe to say that I can't trust my mom anymore, and I don't fucking blame her. So yeah, there really isn't much else to say.
That, and also I helped a friend get a PS3 today. Also, I'm debating selling off my Touchpad tablet because it broke again, the touchscreen is being derpy and I don't think HP will honor the warranty because of third-party work. Not only that...but I still owe the guy who fixed it the first time $20 for shipping. I run terrible with tablets.
My character development is starting back up slowly. I'm working on things on pen and paper and they'll slowly make their way around here as I move closer to it. I have to devote time to school, moving, and getting adjusted to essentially a new life. Not to mention, I do kinda plan on going to Midwest FurFest in November, so we'll see how I can make it there. For those of you who are interested in dabbling in Pokemon TCG stuff, I have a huge stockpile of online codes that I will sell in the near future. The online game itself will be back online after the summer, so we shall see where it goes.
If you guys really wanna know what's going on. Follow me on Twitter (that means you, gardiken ! ), because I tweet on there every day (that my phone lets me) and it'll be crazy for the next little while because of phone numbers that have to be changed as well as bridges that will have to be broken. Long story short, my life's gonna change pretty soon.

Posted 13 years agoWell, I haven't done this in a while, and I've dawdled on other things too. Let's see what's happened in the last month:
- I went to PokeNationals in Indianapolis at the very end of June. Competed decently with an Empoleon/Terrakion deck in the TCG and went 3-2 on day one. Then fell horribly on day two and lost my last four rounds (I lost all of my games on Saturday) to fall to 3-6 overall. The rest of the tournament was uneventful other than some random comedic improv that was going on during the Professor's Cup (the special judges-only tournament, for dedicated TCG judges). After that, on the way back to Chicago, the car we were in decided to finally die of heat exhaustion (it was around 110 degrees that day) and we had to wait, and wait, and wait and try to fix the car to no avail. Luckily, help came and we made it back to Chicago in one piece, except with the car.
- The fourth of july came and went without so much as a gasp. The fireworks were loud as hell though. Went out to dinner that night and saw a real nice show not too far away. :3
- Still no freaking internet at my house. Tempted to shut it off outright since it's under my name and not my mom's. D:
- My mother and I...well let's just say that our relationship as of late has gotten worse. I won't go into detail, but to start, I had to go to court yesterday in Chicago...in her place. Fail. I do know that by August 15th, my family now HAS to move out, and I may be jumping ship from the adults that have made my life miserable. I have bluffs that I will call against my mother as far as school goes, but I think I'm financially all set for at least this year. I may have a place to stay until I get back on my paws, we'll see how that goes.
- Will probably get my driver's license sometime next month as my friend's car currently has expired insurance, that is, unless gardiken wants to lend me his car for the test when I see him on Saturday. xD *totally forgot that the DMV isn't open on Saturdays*
- Character development is at a standstill because of broken internet at my house. Seriously, it sucks balls.
- Met a girl earlier this month, her name is Jedden ( forevertrolling ), and I fell in love. I worry too much and stuff, but I really feel like this is something special between us. It's like we...heh, I don't want to say much, but she's just a really special girl. I really do just love her to bits. I want to stay by her, and I want to be closer to her. <3

Posted 13 years agoSo yeah, getting final plans ready. Definitely going to go to Indianapolis tomorrow for a trip and to make some monies. It's gonna be lots of fun and it's also gonna be a competitive weekend. My only issue right now is the fact that I have to brave 100-degree weather on Thursday in both Chicago and Indy. Oh gawd, I'm gonna die tomorrow in that car. No A/C sucks!
I've heard an update on the whole moving situation, and while it isn't easy, I've found out that my folks will be moving while I'm away. My stuff is still gonna stay in the house except for a few important things, but the rest of it will remain with the haggard old man who's kicking us out on the street. "Aniro" apparently means "brave warrior" in my native tongue...but why I was named that, I don't know. Maybe I was destined for something?
3. Are you single or taken?
Single and honestly not holding out hope right now for anything permanent. I can try though...
4. Have any abilities or powers?
Flight, obviously. Another one is an innate ability to bend darkness and fire. Sometimes separately, sometimes together as one. There's a reason they called me the Midnight Warrior long ago (don't ask me why, even I don't know much!). Also, being a werewolf-dragon mutt kinda implies transformation. There are three formes: Anthro, Were, and Demon. The Anthro forme is what you'll normally see me in...you don't want to see me as the other two!
Also...let's just say I have my own little "special powers" in bed as well...but I tend to keep those a secret unless I meet that right girl...or guy.

Posted 13 years ago...my internet's now out at home. This complicates things a lot more. Having no tablet because of my mom's sudden eBay selling spree was bad enough, but this takes the cake. As it stands now, I'm typing this from a library computer near my house. Yuck, computers with WinXP. D:
So more than likely, I will not have consistent communications with anyone again until I leave for Indianapolis on June 28th for the Pokemon National Championships. Just found out that I was able to go after all because the move at the end of the month isn't happening. My mom is taking the senile old man to court. Proceedings could take longer than a year, bla bla bla *insert legal jargon here*.
Also, and this will make gardiken happy, but I will be making a trip back to Rockford, Illinois for a weekend. Any #RockfordFurs wanna get together? I'll have a date announced after Nationals, and hopefully, I'll has interwebs back up by then. I can't stand being in Chicago for too long, so I needed out, and Nationals isn't long enough!
And finally, I finished 2nd in the Chicago Battle Road tournament yesterday (yes, this journal is full of Pokemon), finally making a top cut! Empoleon and Terrakion are my friends now. I wonder if they'll stay that way for Nationals...
Le sigh. Now I must brave the heat, because I have to get ready for a yard sale at my house tomorrow for the monies. My next journal will probably be from PokeNats then.

For starters...my mom has taken my tablet hostage. This is because she is trying to make money off of eBay. Unfortunately, this is because my grampa is legally evicting my mom, me, and my siblings out of our house at the end of the month. That pretty much means that this has severely stifled my character development for Aniro. I have stuff on paper, but without the tablet, I am pretty much screwed until further notice.
Other news in my life includes the fact that me having to move may interfere with my plans to hit the road at the end of June for the Pokémon National Championships in Indianapolis. I was supposed to have stuff up on my eBay to help me get there, but helping my mom move out has sadly taken precedence. Will update on whether or not I'll be able to go.
Also, I have been reading on twitter lately about the majority of my followers going to Anthrocon next weekend. I am jealous. Oh well, I was in northern Illinois yesterday hanging out with gardiken and the crew up there after a Pokemon TCG tournament. Wish I could have stayed longer, oh well. I'll try to make it up there again sometime in July and stick around for longer than a day.
Speaking of the Gardiken, you should check out his current Pokéverse story series revolving around his OC. It's not that bad of a read, actually. :3

Posted 13 years agoI spend way too much time tweeting these days. I hardly have much time for anything else.
Not much has happened in my life. Ready to start school in the fall again after the struggles of this spring. Still looking for a job as well, but making progress, I hope. Maybe with a job, other things will go to plan...like maybe a head-start on a new computer? I'm typing this all out on my recently repaired HP Touchpad (now running Android 4.0!) and virtual keyboards are a pain.
Went to ACen at the end of April, and the whole weekend for the most part was a #FailCon. Schedule changes, panel delays and cancellations, a freaking fire alarm pulled, and me being used all weekend by a certain vixen that used to be my friend didn't help either. Debating exacting revenge on her, but would that be out of character for me? I dunno. Not gonna talk about it further...
Planning on posting some stuff about Aniro (the mutt wandering alone amongst humanity) in the near future. Me with a better computing device really helps now that my Touchpad is fixed.

Mourning...and my uncertain future
Posted 13 years agoIt's been a rough seven days...and in a few hours, that roughness will hit its peak in my life.
March 12th, 2012 was in short...a day that will forever remain etched in my mind.
I received a call that day at 1:30 in the afternoon, but I didn't answer it at first. However I had a sick pit in my stomach while I was out eating lunch with my friend. Half an hour later when I got home, I got some news that I never wanted, nor was prepared to hear:
My grandmother passed away.
I had not seen her in the hospital for over a month due to other issues as well as me being sick while she was in isolation. She had gone into the hospital on January 5th due to complications from her chemotherapy that were getting worse...now a couple of months later, I was in her hospital room over her deathbed...too late for me to say goodbye as I had missed those final fleeting breaths that I had planned on seeing to begin with earlier that day, not realizing that she was at the end of her struggle.
It's been a full week now. As I type this, I'm preparing to go to her wake this afternoon, and her funeral is tomorrow. I was telling myself late at night that it was all inevitable, but I had no idea how soon it was until it was too late. She was already dead when my friend took me to the hospital, and understandably, I couldn't hold in my tears as I saw her...she was at peace now as me and my family all stood by her one last time.
Now as I type this...I have not had time for anything recently. My time has been divided between my few friends trying to make me happy and helping my family prepare for today and tomorrow. My life is full of uncertainties regarding work, school, and even where I'm going to live because my grampa wants to sell the house. Everything that I am working hard for could be all for nothing now...but I don't want to give up.
I don't know when I'll next post a journal, but for my friends...please keep my family and my grandma in your thoughts.
