Pardon for being less active lately. I've been dealing with some health issues this year that have largely drained my energy. It has given me some time to think though, and after some consideration - I think its probably about time to clear out some of the more risque items from my gallery. I don't mind getting a little risque now and then. I do tend to think a lot of people are oversensitive in that regard. However, there's just a few items in my gallery that I'm no long entirely comfortable with displaying publicly.

This is just a personal decision, of course. I suspect some people won't like this, but I feel like I need to prioritize my own sensibilities and where I am right now. To this end, if there's anything in my gallery that's fully nude, especially suggestive, or jumps into full hyper-sized territories, you may want to save those to your hard drive now. At least if you want to keep access to them going forward. I'll leave this message up for a week or two before doing the clean-up, to give everyone plenty of time to take care of things. My apologies for the inconvenience.

Like her current design, but with a few more years of character design experience under my belt. I can tell her design is a little noisy and has a lot of unconnected disparate elements.

The only thing that's stopping me is that she's a side character for funsies. So I'm not sure how much more money I want to invest into her.

I think I mostly have Anion and Cindi's info-sheets done at this point. That being said, would people be interested in info-sheets about Anion's world and setting? They'd probably mostly have to be made up of whatever applicable images I could find. Until I have time to start writing about though, that's probably the best way to get some of that info down onto a tangible form.

If people are interested, what should I create an info-graphic about first? The Multi-Mundus / Many Worlds Empire? The layout and history of the city Anion lives in? Details about some of the races of the empire? Inquiring minds must know!

Because of a change to AWD aka Madcatter's Terms of Service, I'll be removing the recent pallet swap edits of Anion and Cindi, very soon. I want to give people a quick heads up before doing so though. If there is any pallet swap you want to save to your computer, please do so now. I'll be deleting those entries no later than Monday.

PS: No, the artist has not asked me to do this. However, the change in his TOS makes it clear that such edits are clearly against his wishes, so I'm going to be proactive and respect that.

It's been awhile since I've actively added many new artists to my FA account, and I feel like I need more options if I'm going to actively get commissions done.

Specifically, I'm looking for artists that you all think would do a good job drawing Cindi, for her upcoming redesign. Suggestions for Adama would also be nice. His new body type is probably going to make it harder to find artists that can draw him, so in the long term, it's especially important for me to fill out a list of artists that can draw hulk-like bulky guys like him.

Okie. So I'm working on the post Time-Skip Redesign for Cindi. I'm kind of torn between a few options though, so I thought I'd get everyone's input.

First, we have the hairstyle. Right now I'm leaning towards a minor tweak on her current ponytail hair style, but with a yellow streak highlight. The other option is to go with a shorter hairstyle like a pixie-cut.

Second, and this is the real toughie. I've been leaning towards making Cindi a Sports Augmentation Physician. Basically somebody that oversee's the rehabilitation and recovery of people who have undergone physical augmentation procedures. Usually these are procedures that were botched in some way, but occasionally even successful patients need some one on one time as well. In this route, she would also be qualified to oversee some augmentations herself, but usually she doesn't do this unless she finds a patient who's ability to develop their own body naturally is stunted.

The other option I'm considering is some sort of extreme athlete for a fictional sport that combines parkour and mixed martial arts into some sort of race format. However, part of me is just considering making this some sort of annual event that she participates in.

Aside from that, most of her redesign is settled on and is pretty subtle. So I'll probably commission a picture of it pretty soon. Once it's finished and I've found an open artist that does anatomy the way I prefer.

Anyway, any input people have here would be really welcome.

Now, keep in mind that until something appears in a story or commission, anything you see here is subject to change. I've gone back and forth a ton of times on how to handle Anion's past. The core of it's mostly remained the same, but even things like his birth and surname have changed a few times over the years. That's kind of the reason I've kept so much of the character's backstory vague, but I'm currently in the process of trying to cement it.

First and foremost, I should probably answer the question of how Anion ever managed to get himself cursed in the first place. What I can tell you right away is that it wasn't actually a person who cursed Anion in the first place. Anion was cursed when he was working an entry level job on a new Aether Reactor Power Plant. While the plant itself was supposed to be perfectly safe, one of the construction companies working on it was actually skimping on materials so one of the managers could personally pocket the difference. Because of that, during one of the test-firings of the plant one of the support structures collapsed and triggered a sort of melt-down of runaway magic that would've made one of earth's earlier nuclear disasters look like an errant firecracker. Thankfully, most people managed to get to safety during this disaster, but Anion stopped to help a worker that had fallen behind and was thus one of the couple dozen men caught in a massive blast the blast of intense reality warping wild magic.

Thankfully enough, Anion did manage to survive the incident alongside most of the people that were caught in it. Unfortunately though, being hit by such an insane amount of magic permanently altered his, let's call it his spirit body. Long story short, most of the survivors were basically hit by multiple curses and usually found themselves heavily physically altered by the appearance. For his part, Anion was actually one of the least effected people caught in the blast, but he still walked away with multiple curses and actually gained quite a bit of body mass in the months following it. At the time, this was mostly attributed to one very passionate personal trainer that Anion had met during his physical therapy, but later on it was later discovered that this was actually an early sign that one of the curses in particular was getting strong and progressing. Incidentally, this is why early on Anion was known to have multiple curses, but later on all but one of them basically seemed to vanish. The curse that was getting stronger, basically overpowered and nullified all the other curses competing for the same real-estate.

Yes, this did make the curse stronger as a result, which is part of the reason why Anion's growth spurts suddenly started becoming far more dramatic at one point.

Changing course, after that the biggest mystery is probably Anion's name itself. As some of you may have guessed it's more like a heavily preferred nickname. Originally it actually started off an as internet handle that Anion started using in the early days of middle-school. At the time, Anion was fascinated with science and had seen the term in one of the many text books given to him by his father. It's also worth noting that, having only read the term instead of hearing it, Anion actually started mispronouncing the word almost instantly. Even after learning that though, Anion still uses the original mispronunciation as his nickname. On that note, he only started using it as a nickname after recovering from the accident. In fact, Cindi's actually one of the first people he introduced himself to as Anion. The reason for this was actually fairly simple. He was already familiar with the name due to using it so long online, and by then his own name was actually far-far too famous.

That name being, Aidran R. Tartalga. This may be modified slightly, as I've gone back and forth on pronunciations and such over the years. As of now though, this is the version of his name that by far feels the most correct to me. As for why the name is famous, well some of that's due to the news coverage of the Aether Reactor incident. However, even before that incident, the name Tartalga was rather infamous. I don't want to go into too much detail about this just yet, but Anion's father was actually a very, very, VERY famous scientist. So famous that despite coming from a newly integrated world that was rather low-tech at the time of its introduction to the multiverse, Tartalga still quickly became one of the leading scientific minds in the entire Many Worlds Empire.

He was also a heartless bastard that tended to view Anion as a little experiment, but I'll save the full extent of that for another time. Suffice it say though, by the time Anion was an adult the relationship between him and his father was already strained to the absolute limit. Then his father, "gifted" him a low ranking low skill job on one of the Aether Reactors he'd designed, and more or less ignored Anion after that gift largely blew up on him.

So yes, Anion very much does not like being associated with or being asked questions about his father. Unfortunately, that tends to be what happens when people hear Anion's full name, which is why he began using his online handle as a name instead.

That just leaves his job. Believe it or not, that's actually been one of the most difficult things for me to nail down. Because of the incident, Anion was part of a lawsuit against the construction company that had botched the Aether Reactor construction. As such, while he's certainly not a global power player or anything, Anion is well off enough that he actually wouldn't need to work at all if he wanted to. Even so, the idea of making Anion a lazy playboy has never sat quite well with me. So over the years I've toyed with things like giving Anion a food truck or making him a daytime investor. Currently, the leading option is that he owns a small online clothing company that's recently opened a physical store and sells shirts and other items he's designed himself. The benefit to that is that, not only is it in character, but it would also let Anion hire other people that had been cursed or permanently modified like himself or Cindi.

The downside is that running a business with employees is probably more formal than Anion would prefer. So yeah, I'm kinda still weighing my options on this one.

On a related note: I'm also still working on a new career for Cindi as well. While she may have enjoyed being a personal trainer, I can't see her staying at a low level job like that forever.

Anyhow, again, all of this is subject to change. With that in mind though, any thoughts and comments on the subject would be very welcome.

As some of you know, right now I'm trying to get a redesign done for Anion. The artist I was looking at most recently doesn't like doing design work very often though. As such, I'm looking for more options. Specifically, I'm looking for artists that can draw huge but realistically muscled characters, along with clothing, who opens themselves up for commissions with some frequency.

If any of you can think of somebody that fits the bill, I would appreciate it if you let me know.

Ayep, the title kind of says it all doesn't it?

Part of the reason I haven't gotten as much art of these two commissioned in recent years is that over time my tastes in design aesthetics have shifted around a bit. Just as an example, while I certainly still like highly fit women I'm not nearly as into intensely muscled girls as I was when I was getting Cindi commissioned constantly. Conversely, these days I'd just assume keep Anion huge and heavily muscled twenty-four seven, as it's a good look for him and because commissioning growth sequences is really blasted expensive anyway. Similarly, if I was going to get more artwork of them done, I'd want to make some subtle changes to their designs to make each of them a little more distinctive. For example, I'd be inclined to give Anion a Viking-like braid along the back of his head, and might even consider giving him the furry equivalent of sideburns. Don't freak out though, while the braid I think is a good idea, I'm not sure I'm really sold on sideburns just yet.

Anyhow, if I was going to do this, the re-design would essentially take place after a time-skip. When I gave Anion a curse that caused him to grow whenever he drank milk, I always intended it so eventually, that curse would become permanent so he'd never revert to his normal size. In fact, that's the real reason Anion's normal form is so athletic in the first place. He was a pretty big nerd before being cursed. But after that, he met Cindi as a part of his physical therapy, and the combination of her workout routines and the curse bleeding through caused him to become a lot more athletic-looking in a fairly short time period. As such, the plan was that eventually, his normal form was going to be just as big as buff as his original cursed form was. I've never been able to decide what I would do with his curse after that point though, so that's something I'd need to figure out if I was going to time-skip him.

Cindi's design probably wouldn't change as much. The biggest change would probably be that her interest in bulking up would've waned a bit at some point, but she's still genetically predisposed to being physically fit so she wouldn't lose that muscle tone of hers completely. I'd also want to do something with her hair. At some point, she might decide to get a streak of white in it somewhere like Sadira has, but I'm not sure where I could put one where it wouldn't look a little skunklike, and I doubt she's want to get one in exactly the same place Sadira does.

Either way, it's something I've been thinking about a lot lately. There's no real rush though, as I'm not really sure who I could get to do the redesign for me anyway. As such, I'll probably just content myself putting together a character sheet for the redesigns where I gather a bunch of reference material. That being said, if anybody out there has some thoughts on this matter, feel free to leave them in a comment. :)

But the ending made me want to snap the disc in half. There was a lot of stuff I could forgive before that point. Certain scenes being off. Too many fetch quests, fights, and bosses to pad things out. Several bosses essentially being bullet sponges. Certain story elements seeing entirely pointless.

But when the ending descended into Kingdom Hearts bullcrap that spoiled most of the story and made Sephiroth look like a Bishie stalker, I wanted to scream. That wasn't just the straw to break the camels back, that was a freaking bus! It's frustrating because the moments of the remake that did successfully capture the original left me with a euphoric high that put a smile on my face that lasted hours. But between all the padding and the fact that other scenes were horribly botched, those instances were very-few and far between. They certainly weren't enough to make up for that horrible ending anyway.

Just, blargh. I have no more hope that the following games in this remake will be worth following. I was worried when I heard they put Nomura in charge of this and it turns out that was justified. I'm sorry to all the Kingdom Hearts fans out there, but Nomura is a talentless hack that should never have been put in charge of anything other than Kingdom Hearts. The fact that his storytelling reads like a bad-fanfic doesn't really matter there. It's baked into the KH franchise. But for something like Final Fantasy VII, that was never going to work.

I am going to get more artwork commissioned of my own characters sooner or later. I've simply been tight on funds for the past several months. Though I am somewhat curious if people would like to see more of Anion, Cindi, Sadira, or one of my other characters.

My youngest niece is home from the hospital, and is recovering from the botulism infection. She's not entirely one hundred percent yet, but she's making good progress.

Just thought I'd let people know here, since people were asking.

First, no this is not an April Fools Joke.

Just wanted to let share my anxiety, there certainly seems to be a lot of it to share lately. My youngest niece, an infant, has been hospitalized with a Botulism infection. The doctors are optimistic but this is life threatening for such a small child.

Okay, first off I'm still on the rough draft phase, so it'll probably be awhile before I'm ready to bounce this off anyone. With that said, here's the deal.

I've finally decided to brush off my ye-olde writing skills. For the past few years I just haven't had enough time, but I've recently decided to at least temporarily retire from hard core raiding for personal reasons. I guess I should touch on that as well, but one thing at a time. So naturally, the first thing I've decided to write upon breaking my hiatus, is Undertale fanfiction. That's right, you heard me!

This unfortunately presents me with a few problems. The story I'm writing takes place after the True Pacifist ending, and there-fore massive spoilers for the game are unavoidable. So, whomever I get to proof for me probably needs to have played the game as well. If you haven't played the game, but are interested, you probably have time to finish it before I'm ready for your input. I might even be willing to purchase a copy of Undertale for a beta-reader, if they have healthy experience writing themselves.

Though, fairly deciding whom is sufficiently experienced and who isn't, may be difficult. <_<;;

As for why I've decided to temporarily retire from hard-core raiding. In addition to wanting some more free time to do other things, recently my oldest niece has developed very severe emotional problems. In fact, for her own safety my oldest niece has currently spent the last week in a mental hospital, and has not even been allowed visitors save for her mother. Among her family, I probably have the most in common with my niece, so as soon as she's out of the mental hospital I'm planning to spend every opportunity I can get with her. I want her to know she's loved and has friends, and that means I can't be committing half my evenings to raiding in an MMO.

Of course this doesn't really affect writing or single player games, since those don't require a scheduling obligation.

Yeah, I'm late to the train there, but I had fun with the game regardless. I'm not going to go overboard and say that Undertale is the best game ever, I don't even think of games like that since taste is so subjective. However Undertale is an extremely novel title that addresses some of the biggest issues with the JRPG genre, and it manages to squeeze in a potent emotional impact as well. Honestly I'd love to see this game do well enough to get noticed in Japan, because a number of developers would benefit from taking some notes.
