Yes, I know, character design is hard, especially if you're not an artist, and do not have reference pieces. That however does NOT make it okay to lift another characters design wholesale and claim it as your own. People go through a lot of trouble creating recognizable characters, and for commissioners like me that translates into a lot of money as well. It is one thing to be inspired by a character, and to take some influence from them, but if you take that characters design in its entirety that is intellectual property theft, plain and simple.

Besides that, Cindi is absolutely BESIDES herself! do you want to make her cry!?!

If my own limits weren't an issue, what sort of situation would you like to see Cindi in? Keep in mind that right now this is purely a hypothetical, as my limits really are still very much real.

You know that who Intel mputer upgrade that went awry a year ago. Well, after months of occasionally tinkering, grabbing a few replacement parts, and finally buying a new copy of Windows, IT FINALLY WORKS!

Next item in going to upgrade is the GPU, but I'm going to wait a few months before doing that.,

Remember that dog attack earlier this year? Well the county court decided to finally get around to having a trial about it. Good thing too, it'll be nice to be reimbursed for those medical expenses, bleh. :P

Out of another raid group, though this time I left voluntarily. The raid leader, (whom consistently gives himself some of the easiest roles in every fight,) started openly calling me a carry, despite the fact that I was consistently one of the first players to learn my roles in each turn. Barring eight, where I had to go as a class I was less familiar with.

Even that I might have put up with, if he hadn't followed that up with an hour plus of badgering! "So, ya gonna leave? It doesn't matter that you're a horrible player, I won't kick ya, gonna leave? Gonna leave? You're free to leave ya know."

It was clear he didn't want me around, and regardless how much I hate to put other players out, after awhile I just couldn't stomach the thought of playing with this guy anymore. *sigh.*

My mother managed to give herself a concussion. So for the next few days I'm going to be spending a not insignificant amount of time following her around and taking care of anything that might be taxing for her.

Also, my little sister is going to be going into labor any day now. So between these two things, don't be surprised if I'm a little distracted and hard to get ahold of.

I managed to talk somebody into selling me a ticket to the upcoming Fan Fest in Los-Vegas this coming October. Should be fun, especially since that's supposedly where the first sneak peak of the first expansion will be shown. All together it won't be cheap though, so between now and October there'll probably only be 1-2 more commissions from me, and only one of those is at all likely to be truely sizable.

Also, any advice for traveling would be appreciated. I usually don't travel much, on account of not having a drivers license.

While this is an usual accomplishment. today I managed a feat that has historically been in the past time of cats. To make a long story short, I caught a mouse, without use of a trap. To be more precise, I was at work, saw it ran to the kitchen, grabbed a pair of tongs, came back, and snatched it up alive after tracking down where it moved to.

And don't worry guys, I did show it off to the more mouse phobic co-workers before letting it go in a nearby field. (A nearby field that is on the other side of a rather large irrigation canal. It's not going to find its way back here easily.

Enjoying the warm summer months as best I can, since winter kinda bites out here in the Rockies, at least it bites if you aren't into things like winter sports or snowmobiling or whatnot. My brother-n-law and sister have moved in with me, so I have some room mates now. We get along really well so it's no big issue.

It is going to cause some short term chaos however, seeing as my sister is due to go into labor sometime in the next month. <_<;;

Saving money, on account of summer work hours being a bit lean, so that's why I haven't ordered many commissions lately. Additionally, my gallary is now big enough that I'm past the point where I want art for arts sake. So when I do order commissions, they're either going to be good deals, or some sort of large noteworthy project of some sort.

Still spending too much time playing FFXIV, but at least I'm doing fairly well in that game. At this time I've cleared T6 and T7 numerous times, and I'm close to clearing T8, having gotten that boss down to roughly 10% health.

Then after that, it's the nightmare that is T9. D:

I'm going through the process of going through my gallery, and marking things mature based on a less furry-centric metric. Basically, well, the furry fandom has a tendency of being a lot more lax about what counts as mature content, seeing as furries aren't the only individuals that might stumble onto this gallery, I figured it'd be wise to rate things based on what people outside the community would expect.

I'm going through a sort of checklist of everything I need to do, before I transfer the remnants of my current computer, to my new computer, and right now I'm feeling rather nervous.

On one hand, I'd love to get this taken care of today, on the other hand, I have a raid in FFXIV tomorrow, and I'd hate to screw things up and derail seven other peoples plans, simply because I didn't account for something. Honestly, I'm tempted to put it off til after the raid, just for this reason.

The biggest problem I'm having right now, is that there isn't enough space on my current SSD, to create a Windows Image, even if it's eventually going to be stored on my 1TB backup HDD, which I've emptied out exclusively for this purpose.

Actually, part of me is tempted to just use the empty HDD for the install, and to transfer everything to the SSD if it works.

Was attacked by a large dog while bicycling today. The injuries aren't too bad, but a did have to go into urgent care. I am going to try to force the owner of the dog to cover my medical bills, but until that happens I must be very careful with my funds. This means that I'll have to postpone at least one commission.

I'll be contacting the artist in question, and inform him of the situation as soon as I get hom. In the mean time, I'm going to the sheriff's office to file a vicious dog report.

Used the Haswell CPU from the failed computer upgrade attempt last fall, in conjunction with a new motherboard and case, to try rebuilding my current rig over the weekend. Unfortunately it failed, but this time I think it's a software issue. USB devices on this computer worked just fine in the BIOS, but ceased functioning entirely upon loading into Windows. I'm told that sort of strangeness can occur when you replace the CPU and motherboard without reinstalling Windows.

So, over the next few days I'm going to backup everything important, find a Windows 7 ISO, as I've lost the Boot Disc that came with this machine originally, and try again.

Anyhow, I spent much of my weekend consumed with all this, so I was really terribly in touch with people, and have a small backlog of images to submit now too. I'll try to take care of all of that today.

PS: Until I get my computer situation entirely squared away, I'm being careful with commissions. I can't really be spending money left and right on commissions, if I'm also going to end up replacing several hundred dollars worth of hardware. If I get through this without having to spend a lot more, I'll feel a lot more free to get a couple more sizable commissions going.

Targeting children with in game purchases for free to play mobile titles, is highly InAppRopriate!

The hardest boss fight for both 2.0 and 2.1, and I managed to clear it with a pug group, hours before the FFXIV's were to go offline for the 2.2 patch.

Gadzooks, talk about cutting it close! XD

This took WAY too long. Gotta be careful not to get into too much debt again in the future. XD

It'll still be a little while before I start resuming steadily commissioning people though, I want to build up a little bit of a buffer before I start treating myself. That, and there's a number of items I really need to grab sooner rather then later.

Well, the bad news is that it's 100% confirmed that my brother has a highly aggressive cancer. However it hasn't spread beyond his lymph system, so the doctors think there's still very real hope for beating it. They are going to begin treatment immediately, and will be going all out. So much so that my brother may not be able to effectively function for awhile, but if he survives that'll be worth it.

On a more pleasant note, my little baby sister is going to have a little girl in about six months.

So, I'm upto 5 nieces, but still no nephews. XD

Yep, my brother indeed has cancer again. Worse yet, while they don't know the type specifically, they seem to be leaning towards a type that is extremely aggressive, and has a low survival rate.

Getting a commission from  spazzykoneko and I need to decide which one of my characters to have her work on.

Sadira would fit her style better, but if feels like I haven't gotten enough pictures of Cindi recently. Really need help making up my mind here.

Edit: Went with Sadira, because Spazzy tends to draw really soft looking characters. Cindi just didn't seem like a good fit for her.

Well, certainly seems like it anyway. Long story short, in the past 48 hours or so, two family members have been taken into the ER.

My aunt was admitted this weekend with PTSD, stemming to last years incident in which she witnessed my uncle being mauled to death by a bear, and was subsequently attacked herself.

Then, there's my brother, whom has just been admitted to the ER for abdominal pain, where, they found that he had significantly enlarged lymph nodes. It's not entirely confirmed yet, but the doctors are all but certain that his cancer has come back.

The good news in both cases is that the issues are being treated. This is especially good for my brother, as they just checked him for cancer a month ago, so if it is cancer they've caught it very early at least.

Still, after last years emotional roller coaster, I'd really hoped for an easy year. T_T

So, yeah, once again friends, siblings, and my parents have been very generous with me.

I got a Dual Shock 4, to replace the aging 360 controller I've been using for PC gaming.

Got a polar fleece blanket that my mother made. (Those kinds of gifts are awesome!)

On March 1st to be specific. Nobody needs to get me anything, just wanted to give people a heads up so they could do the whole, "Hey man, happy birthday!" ritual, in a timely manner.

I'm probably just going to do the whole, dinner and cake thing with my family. I'd rather go out and do something outdoors, but, this far north that really isn't an option this time of year.

Spring can't come soon enough! D:
