Cohost...
Posted a year agoI don't want to make a big fuss about it here. I just want to reach out to anyone that was following me on Cohost and wants to know where I'm going.
I'm not getting another social media account. I might get a website and start a blog, if anything, but I'm not ready to spin one up immediately. However, I'm active on instant messaging platforms instead!
(This Journal used to have links to other accounts but they have been redacted. If you want to get in touch and want accounts I don't hand out on my profile page, send me a note.)

Friendly reminder that you're all cool people
Posted 8 years agoYou. Yes, you. You +watch'd me here on FA, or you're just nosing around. You're cool.
And to all the people I've talked with a bunch and consider friends: You're cooler.
And to everyone that's gifted me something: You're amazing and I love you. And also cool. X3
Keep being cool people! I appreciate all of you!

Commissions (Closed)
Posted 8 years agoI'm no longer accepting commissions. Below is the original message except I removed the email address.
---
Recent events have lit a fire under my ass to acquire additional money that isn't coming from my day job, and I need a good excuse to do art consistently anyway. So, for the first time ever, and after much demand from so many of my friends (Good golly some have been waiting over a year), here's my commission rates. Surprise!
These prices are subject to change. This is my first time formally offering up commissions and I may (Probably will) want to tweak the prices to make it worth my time, control the supply-demand dynamic, blah blah blah. In fact, feel free to post feedback if you think I could do something better. (Probably about the format of this commission info sheet. I feel like it might be hard to read...)
The vast majority of artists in the furry fandom and everywhere else do raster art. I do vector art. This is an important difference that will take too much text to explain here, but essentially, the finished artwork is much more flexible. Go read this Wikipedia article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vector_graphics
Art from me comes in flat colors with transparent background by default, with no extra charge for most gradients, a blob drop shadow under characters (See https://www.furaffinity.net/view/19503636/ ), simple backgrounds, and the like.
If you want stickers, there is no minimum but I would prefer orders of multiple stickers at a time, and I'm sure you would too. If you want general character art, you will probably be interested in asking for highlights and shadows (See below). Because I do vector art, you can always come back and ask to get a credits sticker and sticker-sized PNGs rendered directly from the original SVGs if you want to use general art as a sticker.
I take PayPal, up-front, via PayPal invoices. I'll want a good description and/or some reference art of what you want done, so characters, poses, scene... You've ordered commissions before, right? Be reasonable, help me make you cool stuff! I'll send a sketch before starting serious work on your commission and you'll have a chance when it's done to ask for minor tweaks if I got some details wrong. Oh, and don't forget to include your FurAffinity or Telegram username so I can find you if we need to talk faster or I want to pull up some of your other art for reference.
These prices are valid for commissions made after 2017/08/25. I reserve the right to accept or deny any commission, and I'll do my best to take one or two at a time and finish them before moving on. If you don't get a reply, it doesn't necessarily mean I denied your commission. Maybe you're getting spam filtered.

=> WHAT'S OPEN FOR COMMISSIONING:
- Stickers
- Character art
- Simple animation
- Ref sheets (Every angle will be charged like a separate character!)
- Celestial objects (Not really covered by this price breakdown but expect "Go nuts" pricing because I do indeed go nuts)
=> WHAT YOU MAY NOT COMMISSION:
- Porn (For now)
- Recolors of Sunset (For now)
- Sergal hug stickers (I have a project planned to make these easier to distribute, because holy balls they're already out of hand)
- Complex animation (It's extreme effort with my current workflow and I have no idea how I'd charge for it anyway)
=> WHAT I DELIVER:
- 512x512 PNG (If ordering stickers; perfect for Telegram!)
- Nominal resolution PNG (Will usually be 2048x2048 but depends)
- A credits sticker (Obviously included with stickers)
=> BASE PRICES:
- Character head shot: $9
See https://www.furaffinity.net/view/19198270/
- Character half-body shot: $12
See most stickers I've done so far.
- Character full-body shot: $15
Mmm, legs.
- Just an object: $5
See pudding cup in https://www.furaffinity.net/view/19673381/
=> ADD-ON PRICES:
- Complex subject: +$5
Ex: wings, a gazillion colors, complex fur patterns
- Spicy memes (So I don't get flooded with just requests for memes): +$2
See corm, a e s t h e t i c, "$350 fine" in https://www.furaffinity.net/view/21221700/
No arguing about what constitutes a meme with non-zero Scoville.
- Add an object: +$2
See horrified expression in https://www.furaffinity.net/view/21221867/ and "Why can't I hold all these soda bottles" in https://www.furaffinity.net/view/19673530/
If the object is complex, I may charge the $5 and give it to you as just the object as well. Makes a great sticker (usually)!
- Add detail highlights and/or shadows: +$5
See https://www.furaffinity.net/view/23617075/
I'm still improving at making this look good but it gives art a 3D quality as it is.
- A scene around the character: by quote
It really depends how complex the scene will be, but I don't intend to charge more than $10 unless it's crazy.
=> ANIMATION PRICES:
- Vibrator, Jiggler, Photosensitive Seizure Trigger: +$3, or $5 to wiggle existing artwork
See https://www.furaffinity.net/view/20124286/
This will usually be eight unique frames repeated to make one second of 75 FPS cocainum, but let me know if you want it even faster.
- Simple motion: +$1 per unique frame
See https://www.furaffinity.net/view/19198150/ , four frames = +$4
=> "OTHER":
- Go nuts: +$50, or $75 for something not covered by the price breakdown
I will attempt extra detail, a full scene, diffusion, refraction, reflection, radiosity, and a bunch of other cool stuff light does, whatever applies to the commission. Basically, you're funding me using your commission as a learning experience! No guarantees that it will turn out any good, but I have confidence in me, and it will probably be decent. Other artists are doing this under names like "experimental" with great success.

Hello world!
Posted 8 years agoI've been perpetually going back and forth on whether I should use FA Journals for anything. Rather than just suddenly post meaningful content in a journal all presumptuous, which feels kinda weird, here's this!
... Hi! :P
My last couple of submissions have been experimental compared to the stickers for which I'm better known, if you can call it a level of fame. Is there anything my watchers want to see more or less? Or do you have suggestions for something different? More content at all would be great, of course. -_-
