Twilight Wars Vids
Posted 10 years agoI'm going to begin a small video series on youtube about Twilight Wars. After I post the first few vids, I'll begin regularly uploading more. As I continue with it, it will elaborate on more than just the series itself, but as well as myself and my inspiration. When I finally begin I'll post links to the vids as well as release what topics will be touched.
Why I wrote, and continue to write
Posted 10 years agoI wasn't always told that I did something right growing up. In fact I was stubborn, an honor student, but stubborn as hell. One thing people always told me I could do no matter how old I was, create a story. And as the years went on I continued coming up with more and more ideas, until finally, November of 2008 came along. I started it as a fan fic, and it was not meant to be more than just that. I explored likes and dislikes, my strong points and weak points. When I finally finished, I discovered what I enjoyed doing.
Weaving tales of romance, war, betrayal, bloodshed, pain, heartache and even happiness be it as short lived as it may be, I saw what I enjoyed creating! My stories aren't meant to tell happy ones, nor sad. Instead, they give you a world to fall in love with, to grow with, to understand and see through their eyes, their pain, their victories, and even their times of joy.
When I started Twilight Wars, I never finished the first book, not until almost 5 years after starting it. I wrote the story, read it, scrapped it, rewrote it, read it, scrapped it. Time and time again, I would do this while feeling my story was not up to par, it was not meant to see the light of day until it told its own story. Not one that had been seen so many times before, but one that made you want to know what happened next. Not to give you predictable moments, not to show what's going to happen, but what might be.
When I created Twilight Wars, I wanted a world where people felt they could see themselves experiencing those emotions. Just because the way things happened, could never truly happen in such a manner, does not mean it can't create the same emotions for a situation that would create a rise of emotions, ones that you can feel proud for that time, feel sorrow with them.
When I created Twilight Wars, it wasn't for you, it was for me. But now that I love what I've done, I want others to see what I can do, and I'm not stopping til it's done!

Twilight Wars on hold until further notice
Posted 11 years agoTwilight Wars Sacrifices of War will be released this fall. Once it is released, there will be nothing more beyond it until the series is able to fund itself. The 6 sequel books will be written, but not published until it can pay itself. I cannot afford to fund a series that I do not have money for. Thus after book 3 is released, the series will be on hold until further notice.
I will continue the prequel in due time, but due to the heat and stress along with depression I have been having a hard time feeling motivated to continue. With several large personal matters and the series not progressing well, I have not felt the passion I used to.

The Twilight Wars Series
Posted 11 years agoTwilight Wars Sacrifices of War, completed. There's no more to do than to obtain a cover for it, and release it hopefully this year. However, this isn't what I want to specifically speak about. I want to talk about the following two arcs, Repercussions part 1 and 2, along with The False Deities part 1-4. Titles will be thought of for each individual book, but those are the arc titles.
Repercussions takes place 6 months prior to The False Deities. There will be several new characters and a few old faces as well. The true plot will begin revealing itself, and darker turns will be made. Though there are deaths in the first arc during The Prophecy Trilogy, as well as some traumatic moments for certain characters, they pale in comparison as to what is to come. Repercussions will show the aftermath of the first arc, showing what has become of Earth, not Cador.
The False Deities brings all survivors of the series to this grand finale, introducing the end of the series where every choice, every breath, every action has lead to. This will mark the darkest points of the series. Though not written, the fate of characters are set in stone, and will lead to an ending I hope you will all enjoy and remember.

Future of the Twilight Wars
Posted 11 years agoSo even though I'm still unsure when the third book will be released, it is possible that it will still be this fall. Now, that being said, there is a bit more I'd like to share. I will be working on the sequel arc. During the events of book 3, Sacrifices of War, much of the past is filled in, at least the larger portions. Because of this, I will be making the prequel story, a free to read series that will be posted on Deviantart.com in shorts. These shorts will be anywhere from as long as a chapter, to possibly longer, and will continue off one another, but they will not become full books, at least not yet. There will be many stories, revealing many facts about the past without truly spoiling current events of the story.
That being said (yes I love saying that for some reason lol) I have decided where to go with the series in the sequel, and EXACTLY where I wish to go. The story will be following someone that was introduced during the first trilogy, but will also finally give insight on the Goddess herself, Arianna. Yes the mysterious Goddess will finally have her story told as well during the Repercussions arc. That being said (there it is again!) the series will continue in a constant forward flowing pace. That means it will not go back into the past to tell the story. Though yes, there will be flashbacks, it will not have a prequel arc. Though I will happily be working on shorts, that are completely canon to the series, and answer questions without spoiling things.
The free to read series will be posted on the official Twilight Wars deviant art page, here is the link http://twlight-wars-o-a.deviantart.com/

Update on my third book of Twilight Wars
Posted 11 years agoSo, same story different day, I need to see sales go up. I'm digging into my pockets with an income I do not possess, in order to continue releasing my book. And while my third book is the one I'm most proud of with how much I got to do with it, I'm not completely certain I will be able to afford what I need for it to get out there.
I know it takes time to get out there but, with as many people saying they look forward to reading it, the sales don't even come CLOSE to that number. Because of that, I'm delaying book 3 until I actually get the money back I've spent on the first two.

Posted 11 years agoI finally finished my third book. Twilight Wars: Sacrifices of War. At a word count of 85650, I am proud to say, there is not a thing I would change. I will correct mistakes, but the story, I feel flowed perfectly. I can't wait to release it later this year, once I get the cover.
I just wanted to say this simple thing, because it made me smile to finish something, even if only part of it, while going through so much. I'm glad I was able to finish this arc of my series, and hope more see it. I hope everyone is willing to give my series a chance. And I hope when people see this trilogy, and see there is more to come, that they will want to stick with the series to its end.

I know I'm not the best author but
Posted 11 years agoI'm far from famous and far from known. I'm just a guy from New York City that has always loved writing since he was a boy. Story has always been something I loved. I may not have the best written series out there, but I'll be damned if anyone tells me I didn't put my heart into it. Twilight Wars is my pride and joy, and I put my very being into this story, from the characters, to the world, to the story being told.
I may not be the best author, but I'll give you a story that will keep you wanting more, open your eyes, and I will always deliver that with all my heart!

I'm not perfect but I have passion!
Posted 11 years agoI wanna take a minute to make a little vent nothing major just get something off my chest that bugs me. A lot of people think that nowadays it's as simple to get a job as it was 15 or 20 years ago, and honestly, that's changed. In fact the entire process of getting a job has changed in most cases in which you're basically feeling like you're on trial just to get a job.
This being said, I do hate being jobless and most times I'm not really doing anything but repeatedly applying online since everywhere you go "Apply online" even if you ask to speak to the manager, or even find said manager. THAT BEING SAID, I don't JUST sit around and do nothing, and no I don't mean when I spend my time playing games which I admit because it's no secret, I do.
However, for almost 10 years now, I've poured my heart and soul into something I was told when I was eight years old. That, I have a vast imagination with ideas that could become something amazing, and that I should explore this as I grow up. But that wasn't the only time, even in true events, like reports on history and even taking the SATs and regents I was told that my way of approaching the situation in a non-cliche fashion, of the basic written material everyone else uses, and instead turning into a mass comparison using fact and fiction to make a point helped in fact increase my score!
Back to the original point, the last almost 10 years, I've spent my time working on an elaborate story. I tested myself with a fan fiction which originally got amazing reviews, and then I continued it, to see where my weaknesses were. Hell one time my family forgot I was in the room 5 feet from them because I was silently typing while listening to hours of music while they watched some movie with the word Burn in it. Was something that had just come out on DVD in 2008.
Moving on, I found what to do and not to do. What keeps people, and what pushes them away, what truly they enjoyed. And I merged that with what I myself enjoyed. Nearly every waking moment I am thinking about this series I've published, not one but two books, and continue it as a 10 maybe 11 book series. I've even changed how many books would be in the series because I'm not sure what would be the proper length, and now I'm on the fence, going from 4 books long to 9 books long to 12, down to 10 and now up to a possible 10 or 11.
I created 37 major characters that come in and go as the series goes on, to create unique personalities and make them believable. I create characters that I hope someone can relate to one or another, no matter the reason. And the story doesn't focus on just the main characters, and though it revolves around a good number, it stretches beyond that and I want it to be seen, noticed, recognized. I love creating worlds in which visions of beauty, disaster, epics and sorrow in my eyes, are shown to others.
So no, I may not have the normal job, but I am an artist. I create a world in your mind, where you can see and feel the world around you, the characters that make you feel like there's a movie running through your mind while you're reading it, almost as if reading over someone else mentioning it, and saying "Yeah, I remember that part of the movie" but it's not a movie, and I hope it is someday. I do want to have my life go in the right track, and I do want others to see me succeed, but I also want my passion to be noticed, and not treated as some simple hobby. This isn't a hobby to me, this is my true passion and desire in life, to show the world, a world I see when I close my eyes, hear the anger, the pain, the joy and anxiety. I want the world to see what I can create, and that is enough for me.

The Twilight Wars
Posted 11 years agoTwilight Wars is a series about two races, the dark born beings Demons and the light born beings Ilua. The two clashed 4000 years prior to the story, and how is unknown. As the tale goes on, more of the past is revealed as Anorath, a taboo born half Demon half Ilua, follows his destiny as the child of prophecy.
Despite his age of 1700 years old, being born on the final night of the Twilight War, he is still young and he finds he is more than just some Demon. His true destiny is revealed as time goes on, and shows that what you are doesn't define who you are.

Random non-negative vent
Posted 11 years agoSO it's almost 4am now and like... things are just going through my mind while heartburn decides to deny me sleep. And for some reason I couldn't stop finding myself fantasizing about submitting to one lone guy that I've had a crush on since high school. Worst of all HE'S MY BEST AND CLOSEST FRIEND! He knows my sexual preference, and even knows I've had a boyfriend before too. He's been completely accepting of it as well and of course he teases me about it but we're guys, so that's bound to happen, and it's never bothered me!
But the biggest problem, he's STRAIGHT and I straight out love him. I don't care how much of an asshole he can be at times, and hell, I'm all dom all top, but for some reason, he's the sole person I could see myself being the 'woman' in the relationship so to say (please no comments about it being sexist or some shit saying that >.> was just a saying).
Moving on, this guy has always been there for me, and hell at times, he's like a boyfriend. Hell, when I get cold he gives me his big hoody that's so warm and fuzzy <3 gah I feel myself blushing and tearing up and smiling while I'm typing this lol. He's my best friend for 10 years this fall, and always will be. And I'll never push him away with it, but I truly do love him, as more than a friend, and I respect him enough to push him to be with me.

Twilight Wars continues with Encroaching Darkness
Posted 11 years agoThe Twilight Wars series does in fact continue with the second book released recently. Encroaching Darkness comes to bring light to the Tyrant King Delius. Following both Anorath and Delius in this story, you find out the truth about both in this dark tale. As more characters come to light, and the war nears its inevitable end, more truths will show what the past has kept secret, and soon, the past will meet present. Continue your way down the tale of this war that has been drawn out for 4000 years and see what may come of it http://www.amazon.com/Twilight-Encr.....418&sr=1-1

Positive/Negative Outlooks
Posted 11 years agoI am getting really sick and tired of these "Have a positive outlook" ignorant optimists. They continuously think that if you look at things in a positive light, things will turn out for the better. Many people will tell you how much utter bullshit that is. There are very few studies pointing that as a true statement while majority disprove it.
To have a negative outlook on life while acting in the hopes of positive results, would not be less conclusive than the person with a positive outlook on life. Fact of the matter is, you can, as I say in some games, play with the intention to win, not the expectation. In other words it is being REALISTIC.
Positive negative it doesn't matter. What matters is how you treat and act and how things pan out. You are not in complete control of your life, because you are not the big guy sitting behind the desk that's gonna hire you. You are not the one that is going to promise yourself a career in acting. That is someone else choice, not yours.
To be realistic, means you're doing everything with the intention to succeed, however this does not mean it will happen this way. When others are involved, it is a matter of who is the better choice, and what is the more favorable option in the eyes of the other.
So, if you're going to try to tell me, think positive, because things will turn out better, you are so wrong. For as long as I can remember I tried that and until I was 20, that was a load of shit. Same goes for hard work, doesn't mean you'll get someplace in life. There will be those that bust their asses for 30 years at the same desk job never seeing a promotion no matter how much they do to get that better position or better job.

I don't get people
Posted 11 years agoThey act all lovey dovey, acting like they want a relationship at first, seem to be amazing, then suddenly when everything goes their way, they throw it all away and treat you like you fucked up for doing everything they wanted to do the way they wanted it done... it's even better when they get your hopes up for the two of you to be together, then suddenly stab you in the back. I tend to have this luck a lot as of the last 3 1/2 years...
Twilight Wars Encroaching Darkness
Posted 11 years agoBook 2 of my series The Twilight Wars; Encroaching Darkness takes place 3 years after the beginning of book 1, The Prophecy's Journey. You follow Anorath once again, as well as his brother Delius, seeing the two go down their own paths, and seeing what each truly desires. Faces old and new show up in this sequel to expand and progress the story, leading to so many possibilities. New enemies and allies arise in this story, to guide both leaders down their chosen paths. The question now is who will succeed, the Tyrant King Delius or his rebellious brother, Anorath?
Twilight Wars - Help Please
Posted 11 years agoAttempting to release the second book as fast as possible. The sales for the first book have not been as high as desired despite trying to spread the word. I simply have just been wanting to get my name out there, hoping more would buy, hoping that the reviews I've received would encourage others to buy but that seems to be far from the case. With my name still being unknown, and overlooked due to my unknown reputation, everything still (more than 1 year later) seems to be escalating at a very slow pace.
I'm asking one last time to any who watch me, for one favor. Help me get my name out there. Journal pimpage, facebook posts, tumblr, twitter, something. The link is here http://www.amazon.com/Twilight-Wars...../dp/B008RZXW28 and in the footer. Please if you can at all, get the word spread about my book, my name, any help would be appreciated.

Twilight Wars Encroaching Darkness
Posted 12 years agoTwilight Wars Encroaching Darkness is the second book of the series to be released. It unfortunately will be delayed until the cover can be done, and without money that is not possible. Book 2 continues two years after the events of The Prophecy's Journey ending, following not only Anorath this time, but his brother Delius as well. Allowing you to see the war from both sides this time, and know why everyone calls Delius the Tyrant King.
Unfortunately until I can gather the cash, or make enough sales to receive a check from the first book's sales, Encroaching Darkness will be delayed. I will however begin working on book 3 tonight (title WIP). If you're looking to support the series, or even join in the series, follow the link amazon link below.

Lifestyle change
Posted 12 years agoSo I'm going through a weird change in my life. One that... I never saw coming, because all my life I've taken care of myself to be healthy. Not like, some big in shape dude but, all seems fine with my health. But for some reason my heart has become a problem. I'm going to be seeing a cardiologist on the 19th this month, and the several doctors I saw said I might be getting a pacemaker. I'm really depressed about this because I've always kept myself in shape, but now I'm constantly exhausted, sleeping more, eat less, all because of this. And these things happened before I knew what the problem was. Oh well =/ to top it off I'm apparently not allowed to work or look for work in my case until after I get myself checked by a cardiologist and get the pacemaker if need be. Now another reason I can't make money =/ lovely stress is something that I'm not allowed to be around at all.

Posted 12 years agoI want to know from those who have checked out my book, Twilight Wars, The Prophecy's Journey on amazon.com, read it or just given a quick read over the sample, what do you think, on a scale of 1-10 1 being terrible, 10 being amazing, and if you have any detailed reviews of what you think of it, let me know here, in this journal in the open.
The sales are far from worth speaking of, and to put short, I have more fingers and toes than I do sales, so... there's that. Be honest, because I want to know if dedication to this is just a waste of my time or not.

For sale
Posted 12 years agoWould anyone be interested in katanas I have for sale? I have 2 that I've had for a few years now, and despite how much they mean to me, there's someone that means more to me. I'd rather not sell these but I've been left with little choice in my life
