I think it's safe to say 2020 is unanimously the shittiest year on record for just about everyone here, myself included. So I've taken a moment to reflect on what I need to do for myself to possibly make next year a little more successful. Here's what I plan on doing:

1. At least a doodle per day. I'd like to be able to upload those, perhaps once per week, but we'll see.
2. A change-up in my writing habits. For one, there's a lot of things that need finishing before I start any new major projects. Another thing is a more consistent development cycle so I can put my content out on a more consistent basis.
3. More time outside of the internet doing things to become more healthy in mind and body. Not easy these days, but possible. I also need to focus less on the attention my content gets, and more on stuff I actually want to do and let it speak for itself.

There's other things I need to do but those three are the biggest ones I need to tackle.

As for the projects I have in progress, I should make my existing content a priority, most notably my UTOverse fanfiction Lattices. People have been stuck wanting an update on that for months now, and I've been trying to get myself back on it. All I can say about that is: expect one. For the others, I'll probably work on my meckaiju's story in conjunction with the doodles I do of her, and I have another fanfiction in the works. Keeping tight about that one, though.

I'm happy to see I'm starting to gain a few more watchers. If there's something you want to ask me about, feel free to put it here and I'll do my best to answer them to the best of my ability. :D

Yep, I've hit that dreaded barrier of artist's self-doubt. Not gonna sugar-coat it. I've more or less stalled on getting anything new out of me, but now it's official. I feel like I'm doing it for the wrong reasons, and it isn't healthy for my creativity and productivity. So until further notice, everything I'm putting here, minus comms and giftart, is getting paused. It might last a couple of days; it might last a couple of years. Who knows.

Either way, time to backtrack and find a new route.

First off, apologies that my existing stories have more or less stalled. I had school to attend to in the meantime. But now that that's out of the way, I'd like to get back to working on them. Hopefully the handful of arts I posted - commissioned and otherwise - in recent weeks were enough to let y'all know I was alive. ^,..,^

At any rate, I seem to have hit a point in my creative developments that I feel I'm working on way too many things at once. I still have yet to get off the first page of the next chapter of Lattices in the rough draft, sitting untouched since before the national quarantine orders; the Omnus setting and, by extension, Vengeance of a Slave (for my more mature audience) has hit a proverbial wall on how to tie my existing material together and has remained deadlocked since my last update; and now I've started touching on other side projects with other settings I've been working on whenever I felt in the mood.

I do fully intend on finishing Lattices at least, seeing as I have that more or less mapped out plot-wise, and I don't intend on it to run any longer than ten modest chapters plus maybe an epilogue. Vengeance of a Slave will be mostly copy-paste of my initial drafts with bits added, taken, and modified as needed. Even some of my side projects might get published in the form of some basic concept forms and simply make them open-source. Wile I can say I do have a couple of commissions coming in, I can't guarantee I'll be splurging on too many more (I don't yet have a good enough job to finance that, and the stimulus checks can only go so far), and I certainly can't guarantee a consistent stream of my own content - especially since i'll be shifting from school to the professional workforce and focus on other hobbies besides the furry fandom.

So while I have an idea on how to move forward, my question to you is the following: what content would you like to see me focus on? Would you like to see Lattices progress to conclusion? Would you like to see more stuff take place within the Omnus setting where Vengeance of a Slave takes place? Or would you like to hear about my side-projects and focus more on those?

I noticed it's been a while since either Vengeance of a Slave or Lattices have been updated. I have had, and still have, a lot going on in my life right now. I'm on my last semester of college and it has classes that need lots of time invested, as well as a new job that's a bit more involved than what I've had before. Plus, I've been getting distracted by other smaller personal projects... :P

At any rate, I figured I'd give y'all an update. I'm going to tackle VoaS first as most of that work is adapting what I already have into its current form... that, and because the original form is so big, the next chapter will be released in two parts. Lattices I've been having a hard time figuring out trying to even start the next chapter, so that's gonna take a while longer. Once I do figure that out, I'll be focusing on that next.

I can't say when I'll be able to release either, but I can tell you that I will have updates for both.
