Posted 2 years agoHigh Beasts (Beast kind) : A highly intelligent kind that populates and rules this world, composed themselves of a grand variety of species and sub-species with different shapes and sizes, as well as boasting incredible powers granted to them by the earth.
Beastling (Sub Beast) : Species with varying levels of intelligence and devoid of conscience that roam this world, who are the direct ancestors of the High Beasts and thus share similar physical features to them, barring the more feral appearance, and their strife for survival. Over time, many Beastlings continue to evolve through generations, gaining more and more characteristics and abilites that bring them closer to reaching the "Peak", all the while brand new species seemingly appear out of pure coincidence. Beastlings are often used as a source of food and the growing of crops for the High Beasts, as they are distinct predators to one another. Pet Beastlings are a very very rare occurance.
Apex Beastling : A Beastling species who is said to be the closest to reaching the "Peak" due to their intelligence, ability to live in communities and great strength. They are a great foe to the High Beasts, and while they are the closest to them in the Tree of generations, their primal instincts still have a hold on them. They constitute a great threat to the HB, enough that branches of special task forces were created to fight against them, such as the Beast Rangers and The Travelers Guidance.
Monster : A Beastling who abandoned their goal towards the "Peak" is simply dubbed a Monster. They only seek destruction and food, willing to get in the way of everything regardless of power and size. Those kinds are doomed to never reach the "Peak".
NewKind : The transition from Apex Beastling to High Beast is called "NewKind". When communities of NewKind start emerging, they are submitted to analysis by the Collective Beast Government Associates who get to decide how they get merged with society. This process is rather long and taboo among the HB society, as some NewKind still retain some mental mark of their primal instincts. After a general consensus from the CBGA and a successful merging with the rest of the population, they are accepted into society as a new species of HB, although it'll take a couple of generations of inbreeding between them and already established HBs to truly be accepted.
Auspicious Beasts : One of the most important folkloric Legend from the Land of Taifu, it tells the story of 4 benevolent High Beasts who ascended to godhood to protect a young Taifu from invasion, and then sent on their legacy for generations of the future to inherit, for the all eternal prosperity of their Motherland. To this day, a set of 4 individuals are chosen by the heavens to inherit these legendary powers and godlike forms to protect Taifu until they draw their last breath, in which case the cycle continues.
The Symbol Bearers' Creed : A set of rules dictated by the original Auspicious Beasts themselves that bear the Key to opening the way towards inheriting their mighty powers. Each cardinal regions of Taifu holds their own culture and ceremonies to appease the gods and name a new Symbol Bearer, through various challenges and tasks that match their respective protector. While they are vastly different from one another, there are exclusive rules shared between them : Firstly, only those that seek to protect Taifu are eligible, for any ulterior motive will be sensed by the heavens.
Secondly, if a HB is of a species that has already inherited one of the 4 powers in the past, they cannot inherit it again.
Finally, if one of the current four were to draw their last breath, the other 3 shall follow them shortly, for it is their destiny to fall and rise together as one.

Lore of Taifu
Posted 2 years agoOur story is set in a world similar to ours, populated by the High Beasts, highly intelligent anthropomorphic animals of varying species, shapes and sizes (human kind does not exist) gifted with incredible strength and powers, living in communities, countries and nationalities that more or less mirrors our own.
This particular story takes place in the Land of Taifu (equivalent of China), which is home to incredible cultural values, stunning locals and a vast amount of different ecosystems and environments that our citizens call home.
It is also widely known as the Land of Myths, where many gods and legends originated from and actually still live to this day.
In fact, one of the most important folkloric history of Taifu is “The 4 Auspicious Beasts”.
It tells the tale of a very weak Taifu, still in its infancy, struggling to keep itself from surviving among the sea of conquerors and from its very own leaders, and when it all seemed like Taifu was meant to fall, a group of four legendary Beast Warriors stood their ground and fought using their godlike strength and powers to protect their Motherland; they were a Black Tortoise, a White Tiger, a Vermilion Bird and an Azure Dragon.
They each vowed to protect one of the cardinal points of Taifu, dividing the land into 4 :
-The Black Tortoise blessed the North with raging rivers to drown invaders and brought thunderstorms using its Snake tail to scare them away, reshaping the land into massive mountain ranges, the white moon of midnight bestowing upon it a cold soothing Winter.
-The White Tiger graced the West with its white claws and completely decimated the invaders with one single punch, dividing the land as if metal itself struck the earth to separate it from the outside, creating a perpetual autumn cloaked in Dusk.
-The Vermilion Bird bestowed upon the South pillars of fire and burned the invaders to nothingness, with its last embers sprouting beautiful flowers that engulfed the valley in red, bringing about the bright and hot midday sun of Summer.
-The Azure Dragon granted the East its dominating presence, intimidating the invaders coming from the sea, growing tree roots from the very earth he bit down on and providing the people of Taifu the birth of life, witnessing the wonderful Dawn of Spring.
After molding the shape of Taifu, the great mythical heroes continued to spread their blessings, all the way until they drew their last breath. Before doing so however, they each planted the seeds of their strength and will into the people who worshiped them, in the hopes that even after they’re gone, their descendants shall take back up the torch and protect Taifu, that even their own descendants after that will do the same, for the prosperity of our Motherland, for all of eternity.
To this day, every few centuries, a new set of 4 High Beasts are chosen by the heavens for their deeds and completing the tasks and rituals that have been passed down from generation to generation, to take on the mantle of these Auspicious Beasts, inheriting their ancestors’ godlike powers and form, to protect Taifu once more, for the centuries to come. They are named the Four “Symbol Bearers”."RUISHIN FATE!" Story Summary
Posted 2 years ago"It has been a dozen years since the previous 4 Symbol Bearers died, and the people of the Land of Taifu have been eagerly waiting to see who will be the next High Beasts to inherit the mystical powers of the Auspicious Beasts, 4 legendary Guardian Beasts of unfathomable power that have protected Taifu since its inception many thousands of years ago. All 4 cardinal parts of the country proceed with their own rituals and competitions to awaken the chosen ones, and as the common knowledge goes, once one of them appears, the other 3 will follow shortly.
Tira Měnghǔ, one of the gifted trainees of Xīfāng Báihǔ Temple located in West Taifu, has been training tirelessly since her late childhood in the hopes of one day inheriting the powers of the White Tiger. Unfortunately, as one of the main rules of the heritage states, “a High Beast who’s species has already awakened to the powers of one of the four Auspicious Beasts in a past incarnation can no longer inherit the Symbols”. Yet, despite being a White Tiger herself, Tira presses on relentlessly, no matter how hard people shamed her. However, the tensions between her and her peers at the academy she studies in as well as the other trainees of the temple reached a boiling point when she lost one of the biggest tournaments of the city to the most popular candidate for the inheritance. As she breaks down and runs away, she finds herself back in front of her late father’s grave inside the temple, lamenting over her Fate and the traumatic event that set her on this path 15 years ago once more. Suddenly however, when her will was wavering the most, a golden lion statue towering over the grave completely cracks open, revealing the naked body of a beautiful female golden lion named Mai Jīnshī.
This curious meeting and a certain incident shortly thereafter would lead them both (and Tira’s weird neighbor Diàna Māo somehow) on a massive adventure across the Land of Taifu, meeting new indispensable allies along the way with their own set goals, but one point in common; they will RISE above FATE itself!"For more explanation on Lore and specific Keywords, go to the corresponding Journal Entries100 watchers and a Happy New Year!

Just wanted to say a very happy New Year to all of you and a huuuge thank you all for following me here, wasn't expecting to get this many watchers but I'm glad so many of you like my characters and want to see more <3
I don't post often 'cause I'm getting commissions slowly but surely, and I'm trying to slow down a bit since it's been chewing down my money quite a lot this past year ^^' but don't worry I won't be stopping anytime soon (especially since I just got a job with a much better pay :P).
Instead of dropping like 10 commissions in a row on the same day and not posting anything for 3 months I'll try to be more consistent, and post my commissions and raffle wins every few weeks or days depending on how much I have saved up. Naturally when the original artists post the commission first I'll wait for a few weeks at least before posting it myself, so if you want to see what commissions I get on here early you can take a look at what posts I fav >w<

I'm not one to obsess over number of followers or likes and whatever, I just want to share the many illustrations of my lovely characters to the world :3
