Posted 7 years agoIt was awesome and it sucked. Going on 20 hours awake with about 5 hours of sleep last night. Went to the Lizzadro Museum of Lapidary Art today so that was cool. (If you haven't been and you enjoy intricate carvings, artwork and/or gemstones, it's definitely worth a trip.)
After that, work was a bitch. All I did was fuck up orders and addresses all evening. So that was fun to get yelled at. XD That and every time I would answer the phone the other driver would run out the door with my deliveries and take them himself. Which, if I haven't mentioned before, that's literally how I make my money at that job. I'm not paid hourly, I'm paid per delivery plus tips. 1099s are great, which reminds me, I still haven't done my taxes because my boss's accountant is a lazy piece of shit and won't give me or my boss any information, income forms, nor return our calls. Oh well, hopefully I won't be stuck at that shithole forever. XD
All of that with no coffee today makes for a very conflicting-feeling day. XD

Posted 7 years agoA lot going on this week; spring break, trip to the lapidary museum in Elmhurst, IL, planning and securing details for my niece's birthday party next week, taxes, cleaning up around the house starting with my room, filling three necklace orders, touching base with customers on how the pieces are coming, two chain repairs that have to be finished before the end of the week, the oil change I should probably do, this run-on sentence... On top of all of that, we lost our main cook at the restaurant, which brings our staff number down to four including myself. So guess who's working 6 days a week? This butthole! XD
All of that is just piling up on top of me right now and it's just really stressing me out because the free time I should have is nonexistent for the foreseeable future. Blah, that's life though! It sucks and then you die.
Anyways, how do you relieve stress? I may need to try methods other than my usual break shit, freak out, and bottling it up and giving it a shake before I save it for a later breakdown :P (not really... maybe...)

Organs go for a lot on the black market.Gosh I love this coffee shop... xD in other news, I just had my foot cut open by the doctor on my first visit. Here I thought the doctor was going to just check out my foot (because of an ingrown toenail) but they're like "so, get comfortable, we're taking it out today." And I'm like "wait a minute, what?" XD so I have my foot all wrapped up and it hurts to walk but they said it'll be better than it was after all is said and done. Just gotta take their word for it.

Posted 7 years agoCoffee Sleeve Wisdom #22Tomorrow is the first blank page of a 365-page book. Write a good one.So yeah, this week was really difficult financially. I haven't worked since Tuesday, (haven't gotten paid since the previous Saturday) and to top it all off, my insurance cancelled my policy without reason right before I got really sick. So I had to pay everything out of pocket which came to a grand total of like $165 or so after antibiotics and a doctor visit. (Which was literally all I had in my checking and savings accounts.) So I'm pretty much stuck waiting until Tuesday for money because my boss won't let me work today and we're closed tomorrow. XD I'm halfway tempted to sell some stuff on here just to make up some of the missed income, because bills suck. Thank God for coffee shop loyalty programs, I have like 12 free drinks to get me through this.
Anyway, I hope you all had a wonderful and awesome week, and if not, I really hope you have one this week! =3

Posted 7 years agoGuess what? I'm sick again and I have no insurance! Yayyyyy..... got a letter last night saying that my insurance was cancelled without a reason so I get to figure out what went wrong before I go get treated for whatever I may have. Since I work around food, my boss won't let me come in (for good reason) but that means I have no income right now. Therefore, CSW is put on hold for now because I don't want to get them sick. That and I felt like passing out while driving to work, so yeah. :)
I'll probaby be on and off for a bit but I'm gonna gonna try going to bed.

Posted 7 years agoFirst of all, I just realized I started Coffee Sleeve Wisdom almost three weeks ago yet we're not even on day 10... Yay for continuity! XD Anyways, this journal is pretty much a personal one for me and it doesn't really affect anyone else that I know of. So, let's get on with the show!
One thing that's been on my mind are the events that took place three years ago today with my ex but we won't get into that. That was a dark time and I'm just gonna go ahead and say it. FUCK YOU, NEGATIVITY! Anyway, that also shows me that I haven't dated in like three years... Holy shit XD I always used the excuse that I'm gonna focus on myself before I get back into a relationship but over the past three years what have I done? I started some very expensive hobbies that have yet to pay off. XD I've started cutting gems but I've only used my machine like 4 times. Not just because the starter wheels are shit and new ones are expensive, but because I haven't really had time or room to do so. My room is a mess and I don't know if I can fit anything else on my desk without it collapsing.Pictures soon to come, I promise. Picture is in scraps. This also has nothing to do with anything but I hate my fucking keyboard. XD I can't use my wireless one though otherwise my internet won't work. Anyway, I have been working way too much for me to put any real time into developing my skills as a lapidarist.
I also made a post in my last journal saying I possibly lost my job and while that didn't happen necessarily, I lost my position as manager and I also lost my key. (Not literally, my boss's wife took it back from me.) There's really no pay decrease, but I'm no longer person #3 or #4 in charge there. I also lost my morning shifts (Which really sucks because if we were busy I sometimes made more in the mornings than I did in the evenings.) Oh well, it gives me more time to be with my pupper and to figure out my life and where to go from here.
Another thing you may not know about me, I freaking love traveling. Last year was a great year because I went all the way to Maine with a few friends. It just sucked because I came back without them. It was such a great experience though. I got to travel up the East Coast, something I've wanted to do for years. I even went to Niagara Falls and on the Maid of the Mist. Like, if you haven't gone and/or done that, DO IT! It's so cool! But I wanted to travel more this year but I have no idea where to go! Where have you traveled and thoroughly enjoyed? I'm looking for places with amazing food too! I've honestly come so close to flying to another city/state for a meal. I'm serious. Like, two years ago I almost flew out to Colorado to eat lunch just because I had like $60 on a Southwest Airlines gift card. So anything goes, really. XD
I don't know what else to type. I think this flu is messing with my brain. By the way, fuck you Dunkin Donuts for discontinuing the one latte flavor I actually enjoyed. That is all.
