Goth Piggy Poll 1.2
Posted 7 years agoThe 300 patron Goth Piggy Pinup Pol continues!
The result of the first poll was:
CYBERGOTH!
Romantigoth was second and Loligoth was a surprising third. Good, suppose; ruffles are fun but, tedious to draw
Anyway, here's the second question!
What will Goth Piggy's mood be? Will she...
1) ... still be unhappy being Goth Piggy?
2) ... be dealing okay with being Goth Piggy?
3) ... have fully embraced being Goth Piggy?

Goth Piggy Poll 1.1
Posted 7 years agoI’ve decided, somewhat arbitrarily, that I shall do a special Goth Piggy pinup in celebration and appreciation of 3,000 watchers.
What’s special about it?
My FA watchers will get to have a poll like my patrons and decide on what kind of pinup I'll do. It will be a short one (just three questions) and done through the journal but, the masses will decide. Leave your answer below!
Question one. What sort of goth will Goth Piggy be?
1) Loligoth
2) Cybergoth
3) Romantigoth

3000 watchers! Zowie!
Posted 7 years agoI just received my 3000th watch. Sure, I know that 5000 is the usual milestone and sure, that's a drop in the bucket compared to Gillpanda or Blackshirtboy but I'm still grateful to all of you.
Should I do something art-wise to celebrate? What do you all think I should do?
Thank you all again for inspiring me to keep trying to make better art!

Oh, noes! Patreon Suspended! (Hopefully temporarily)
Posted 7 years agoJust got word from Patreon that my account has been (hopefully) temporarily suspended due to violating the Community Guidelines. They haven't told me exactly WHICH guideline I've violated but, they'll hopefully answer my email soon.
I'm slightly worried. If it's an "Adult Work" violation, dang, my stuff is SO vanilla. Not sure what else it could be. I'm not doxing, there's not hate speech and all of my work is my own.
Also, I do wonder who reported me.
Ah, well. Hopefully this will work itself out.
Stand by for art!

Streaming warning!
Posted 7 years agoUnless something goes horribly wrong, I'm going to be streaming on Sunday March 18th at 8pm if you'd like to join me.
My patrons are deciding what I'm going to work on!
As usual, there will be a 15 minute watchers-choice sketch at the end. I'm sorry to say, snacks and cocktails will not, however, be provided.

Posted 7 years agoWell, not right now. My life's pretty full, so we gotta plan these things.
I'm planning on streaming again this month on Feb 11 from 9-11 pm EST. If you can make it, I'd love to have you.
My patrons are now voting on what I'm working on; there are three possibilities.
Something I started with my first stream will continue and hopefully become a tradition. The session will end with a 15-minute pencil drawing based on one of your ideas.
I'll post a reminder on the 10th. Hope you can stop by!

Cool anthro posable drawing manequin... sort of
Posted 8 years agoI recently bought a cool 6" VERY articulated female drawing mannequin from Hobby Link Japan and saw today they had one, that is more of an action figure that many folks here would get a kick out of but, might not have heard of.
A small, articulated Judy Hopps (with interchangeable faces for different expressions. Also, articulated ears!). I have no vested interest in Hobby Link Japan, I am only a customer. I'm just passing things on to other fans.

Customer Interaction
Posted 8 years agoSo, I posted the Plaything series on my DeviantArt page, and a user emailed me with some cool questions! Man, I love stuff like this! Thinking beyond the TF is why I do some of the things I do. Of course, you run into story problems, continuity problems and, sometimes, moral issues.
Because I enjoyed answering them so much here's their questions and my answers. I hope you like this!
1) Does Plaything have a gender?
Plaything is still female. This would (given standard terrestrial norms, of course) make her more inclined to be nurturing; even despite her predicament.
2) I have to assume that Plaything is not going back to being human because Plaything's new owners were just visiting Earth.
Yup. Just picnicking on Sol 3!
3) Given the strange set up of Plaything's body, I am assuming that the species that Plaything is now part of is an artificial species.
Quite possibly. But, the real reason is that the artist was looking to make something that had enough alien qualities to make it interesting and just enough terrestrial qualities to make it accessible.
4) Can Plaything talk or can Plaything only make sounds allowed by their new form?
She can only make sounds allowed by her new form. After she learns her owner's language, no doubt she'll be able to make sounds that mimic speech; Her vocalizations might sound like a Husky 'talking', for instance.
5) Does Plaything remember being a human woman?
Absolutely. Her brain chemistry and anatomy was changed to allow her to fully live in her new form (controlling six limbs and taking in sensory information from her new antennae, for instance) but, her memory (and intelligence (see below) was unaffected.
6) Does Plaything retain their old intelligence or has their intelligence level been reduced?
She is fully as intelligent as she was as a human.
7)Plaything had to been very docile. Otherwise why trust Plaything to be alone with a child that at least one tenth the size of Plaything? Plaything also seems to be much bigger than the adults. Something must prevent Plaything from overpowering them.
It's likely that there's brain chemistry in the Plaything that pushes them to be docile, even caring (giving more credence to your artificial species theory?). This can work in humans, so there is precedence.
8) Does Plaything accept their new life. Does Plaything find happiness being Plaything?
Possibly in time. She will be, of course, stunned by all of the new sensations and the realization that there is no going back. But, as they will not mistreat her and even care for her, I'm betting she'll accept it eventually even come to feel protective of the child. Stockholm Syndrome, FTW?
9) What happens to Plaything when the child outgrows wanting to play with a huge cuddly furry creature? Does Plaything get changed again into a new form, get placed in storage or given to new owners?
Wow. Fantastic question! Also, creepy question! I really don't have an answer.
I think storage would be right out; if the alien dad was that malicious, I think vaporization would have been his initial action.
Perhaps, Plaything will become a nanny to the child and then confidant as she grows older, living long and becoming a plaything for that child's children? Perhaps she will be given the choice, a decade down the road of being turned back and going back to Earth or being given to another family or given another form?
UPDATE FOR THIS POST: I do think now, that the dad would be, if not malicious, a bit species-ist. Who cares about these piddly little Earthers, never going beyond their own solar system? My little daughter needs a new companion! This may color his future interactions with The Plaything. Though in thinking this as the near ultimate of turning a sentient into an animal (literally instead of figuratively), it gets a bit dark.
Sorry 'bout that.

It's funny
Posted 8 years agoBelieve it or not, I've got a SFW/non-prurient FA page that gets hardly any traffic. Kind of sad, really. Same art, different subject matter.
I also noticed that I don't fave much from there as I seem to be so out of the SFW/non-prurient I follow hardly any creators who are not NSFW.
Do any of you have some recommendations on good SFW creators on FA I can get inspired by?

Just an FYI update
Posted 8 years agoFor those who wish to know.
I'm cranking away at the twenty-five page commission. I've got six pages penciled already.
I've also been drawing other things. There's be a new single-page TF that's currently Patreon only that will appear here in a week or so.
And, for those who asked, absolutely nothing happened in Sector 83 by 9 by 12 today.

Art Update!
Posted 8 years agoHey, all!
I've got a commission in progress right now for
snowblindkitty
It's sketched out at twenty-five pages (not including the Aftermath) so... huge. I just finished penciling page one tonight so, we're well on the way. They want to have the comic complete before viewing so, It'll be a bit of a wait (ever-so-slightly shorter if you're a Patron). The only spoiler is that Chet finally gets to meet The Mistress!
I'm also working on a four-figure, single-page TF from a poll of my Patrons and I'll post it here as well after it's been up on Patreon for a week. All I will say is I've never seen a TF of this particular animal (and definitely never a sexy pinup of one either...).
Stay tuned!
Same Goth Piggy time. Same Goth Piggy channel

Patreon!
Posted 8 years agoSo, I've done it.
I've started a Patreon page.
I'll keep it going as long as I feel that I'm satisfying my patrons. To start things off, there's a brand new drawing of an old favorite character waiting for new patrons. I'll post it here in a week.
I'm new at this so, if anyone has any issues, let me know! (yeah, it's the former graphic designer in me. Always trying to please the client)
So, go here if you wish!

Cheers, all!

Patreon...
Posted 8 years agoSo, I beginning to start up a Patreon; it's not live yet. Now, I love doing direct commissions and I've no real issue with posting stuff for free (been doing it for years) but, if I can make a little extra to pay the bills, I'll give it a try.
However, as a former graphic designer, I don't really look at the Patreon model as a way to make easy money, I look at it as a designer: I serve the clients. With that in mind, here are two thoughts going in.
If I don't feel I can truly serve the patrons at any reward level with regular, quality artwork that they should expect, I'll pull the plug and make what reparations I can.
Secondly, I'm curious to know all your thoughts: IF you were to be a patron, what rewards would you like to see on my page?
For $1, I'm offering the obligatory one-week preview of any works I'll post to FA, DA or Tumblr. I have other ideas for the higher levels but, what would you as potential patrons want to get for your money?
Thanks for helping me out with this.

Posted 8 years agoHere's what's happening, what's going to happen and what might happen.
1) Just finished a five-page commission. I'll post it as soon as the patron allows or, two weeks whichever comes first.
2) Two more pages to go with William. Inks complete, colors coming!
3) Someone contacted The Mistress for a new companion and it looks like Chet will be leaving the room. This one will be slightly different from my norm. Slightly
4) I recently finished a fully-rendered ink drawing for a friend and it made me want to start offering non-TF/non-salacious pics. These can be character portraits, real or fake story illustrations, whatever; just clean. This doesn't mean I'll stop with the TF, I'm curious if anyone's interested in something different (that I can show my mom and post on my non-porn FA page or that someone would like to actually hang on their wall, perhaps).

Art Update!
Posted 8 years agoThe holidays are over and the dayjob is easing back a bit.
Here's where we are:
1) Got a commission involving a magical fox coming up. Five pages of TF goodness. No spoilers, though
2) Bespoke Companions: William
Firstly, I've fully penciled pages 15-19 (and there's 22 total). That will be moving along as I get the commission closer to completion. I'll probably ink and color 15-17 and post as a group, then do all of the rest as a finale.
Secondly, Well before William even TG'd, I'd drawn some studies of his/her final form. These morphed into two slightly different versions of his/her Aftermath. It is, for me, a pretty ambitious piece and I'm happy with elements of both of them. They've been inked and are being colored right now (coloring isn't hard but with all of the curls, shading's a bitch). So, you've got that to look forward to.
3) What might cause delays: I'll be in Arizona getting paid to learn about and ride very high-end mountain bikes from Jan 23-27. Hopefully, I'll have some posts for you by then.
4) I realized it's been too long since I've drawn the TF/TG'd Goth Piggy. She's fun so she may make an appearance (Still sort of want someone to commission me to do her origin. Haven't done a good WG/TG/TF since a certain panda)
Anyway!
Later, gators!

Question
Posted 9 years agoSo, I'm asking the wonderful masses of artists here a very selfish question.
Like many of us, I do non-TF/TG/Etc. artwork under my actual name and much of it is for sale. Some of it is right up our alley here (only non-prurient, of course). I'd really like to see what you folks think of it but, I'm worried about the separation between my two art worlds (even my partner only sees bits of my "porn" I do here).
The questions to artists (and anyone else who wants to weigh in): If you have two art worlds, do you take trouble to separate your artrwork types? If not, do you have any advice on melding the two?
As I said, this is a selfish question (this year's Inktober was nothing but anthros and I'm selling the good ones) so, I'll take any grief along with advice.
Thanks, all!

Update: for those who might want to know
Posted 9 years agoAs of 1130AM EST, our Bernie is taking the Long Nap. It's been a while since he was truly able to relax and it was gratifying, in a way, to see the sedative take hold. He passed in my wife's arms in the warmth of our wood stove and was buried in the catnip patch (which I thankfully dug before it snowed).
Huge thanks to Mountainside Mobile Veterinary for making his transition to Napping most peaceful and gentle. Because of their care, we already miss him but, there is less sadness and more relief at the end of his discomfort.
If any of you pet owners have access to a mobile veterinary service in your area, please take advantage of them. It is a little more expensive but, especially for end of life, it is worth it.
Art will progress soon-ish. Please stand by.

Updates: art and cat
Posted 9 years agoBernie is still chugging along, more or less. We thought we was going on Sunday but, he's still here, sleeping comfortably and is still enjoying our wood stove but, he's climbing stair slower and has big trouble jumping on the bed. The biggest worry is that he won't eat unless you hold a spoonful of food under his nose, then he chows down. He's also taken to going behind the couch at least once a day. I think that's where we'll find him if he goes on his own.
In the meantime, we're spoiling him as much as we can and hanging out with him even more than usual. He's taken to sitting on a chair near the woodstove (on my 20˚F sleeping bag, too). He's never sat on that chair before but, it faces my studio and he watches me work while he lounges. Every now and then he'll jump down, walk to the door (never in) and meow until I sit with him for a while. Got a stack of comics near the chair for just that purpose.
We're monitoring and I'm not expecting him to live to Xmas. Just keeping him as happy as possible until the end.
The other update is, that with Bernie staying so close, I've actually been drawing! Two more pages of William (posting tonight) and another four-page comic commission in the works.
I've also been sketching an idea for an anthro superhero in a non-anthro world. I did an inktober of a caped bear lounging among Notre Dame's gargoyles and the title: L'ours Supérieur: Guardian of Paris came out. Hmmmm....
Anyway, thanks for reading!
Hope all of you are well and enjoyed Friends, Food and Family.

IRL update. Caution: No Fun Ahead
Posted 9 years agoSo.
Comics and commissions will be engaged in a slowdown for a while. No, my internal union is not angling for better working hours, it's much less fun than that.
Our cat Bernie is having severe health issues. He's named after the Senator, natch. They're both grey-haired old men from Vermont who yell a lot. Ours doesn't yell for income equality, though (at least as far as my understanding of Feline goes)
We found out on Tuesday that he's got some malignant growths in his intestines and liver, and his liver has been damaged from not eating enough (likely caused by nausea from his other issue). We only found out because we brought him in to have his teeth looked at; we'd thought his lack of appetite was due to his teeth hurting. (In case you all didn't know. Apparently, cats cannot go more than 48 hours without food or they will suffer liver damage. So, watch out for your feline friends!)
He's on the mend-ish. I say "ish" as he's better and eating more but, the prognosis points towards terminal. The vet-did-not-recommend-surgery kind of prognosis. We don't know if it's days, weeks or even months.
We're bouncing back and forth between being pragmatic and deeply emotional. What we're really hoping for is to get him up to 80% of his awesome self and then watch carefully. If he starts down, we're going to call in a home-visity vet for the Big Sleep. It's not a decision we make with the lightest of hearts but, having had one cat die in pain, we want him to have one day that's close to decent just before he goes.
So, that's why things are slowing down and I'll be away for a while. I know you all will understand.
I feel a bit strange and selfish posting this but, sometimes saying things helps.

Update-ish sort of thingy
Posted 9 years agoJust finished a $40 one-page/four-figure commission and there's another on the way. Also coming is a 4-page comic commission that will be much different than any I've done so far (that's what intrigued me about it. It is juuuuust inside the realm of my list and the commissioner allowed me free reign with the ending)
Bespoke Companions: William continues. I'm penciling page eleven now and will wait for twelve to be done and post both. In a fit of something-or-other, I drew an Aftermath for William and, in many ways, it's one of the more ambitious furry drawings I've done in a while. I hope I can pull it off.
How's that for a teaser?
Also, for poops and giggles, I was thinking of starting a TMI Tuesday like
silverclaw . Would that be cheesy and copycat-y? Since I can't sit down with any of you over a <beverage of your choice> this might be the next best thing.
What do you think?

Posted 9 years agoHey! Am I the only one or do any of you have artists whose style you absolutely adore but, only a couple of their works are up your alley and the rest are REALLY not what you're into?
Commissions Guidelines Update
Posted 9 years agoThanks for all of the inquiries about commissions!
Now, I know when offering commissions artists often get ideas and characters they'd never think of. This is the challenging and refreshing part of commissioning! I mean I'd never have even considered doing a gryphon to orca anthro TF if it were not for eyeofhorus789 asking for one (and I'm darn proud of the wings-to-dorsal-fin part, actually).
That said, I'm fielding a lot of questions about what I will and won't do. Some are quite legitimate as my Won't Do list seemed to be vague.
With many, however, I just want to ask: Have you even looked at my galleries? If there's not even a hint of something there, I probably won't do it. There are plenty of amazing artists out there and they all do things others might not do so, ask them!
With that in mind, here is an updated Will Do/Won't Do list:
WILL DO:
Pinups; TF; MtF TG; Bimbo; sexpet; anthro TF; feral TF; SOME inanimate TF (i.e. teddy bears and inflatable dogs, say but, not cars, planes or teapots); clowngirls; piercing; light bondage; Science/Magic.
WON'T DO:
'taurs; FtM TG; Hyper anything; inhuman amounts of spooge; diapers; scat/watersports/farts, etc; gore; vore; cub; ovi; pregnancy; realistic rape; torture; insect TF; explicit MM sex; extreme bondage; realistic gender change;
NOT MY THING but, MIGHT DO IF ASKED (here things get blurry):
anthro to anthro TF.
Feral to anthro TF: only if it's part of a story involving human TF
Some Rule 34: I won't do an existing human character into a non-human nor existing anthro to another creature but, I might do a regular human to a famous non-human character if the character, setup and/or the "aftermath" is interesting)
Herm stuff.
AR but, only with TG or TF and only G/PG rated.

Commissions open in October!
Posted 9 years agoI was kicking around an idea for one of the two remaining chumps in the Mistress' cabin trap but, before I went and did it, I thought I'd open up commissions in October. Same rules as last time with some small price increases.
$25 gets you:
A single, hand-inked, digitally-colored portrait (as with my random portraits or the Flexible Survival singles). Example: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/19168322/
$40 gets you:
A single-page, four-image transformation sequence. Example: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/19111680/
$55 gets you:
A single 5"x5" hand-inked B&W original portrait drawing on Bristol. Professionally matted with a simple one-color mat. Shipped anywhere; shipping charges not included.
$125 gets you:
A more than four-page, full-color comic AND an aftermath image based on the remaining two characters in the Bespoke Companions cabin. Either you can supply a script with lots of details you'd like, (as the client for Rob did) or just an idea I have to flesh out. The only caveats are that The Librarian's descriptions of the chosen character must reflect how they are portrayed in the introduction.
$150 gets you:
A more than four-page full-color comic AND an aftermath image based on the Bespoke Companions universe with a customer character or any other idea you'd like, really.
$200 gets you
a more-than-four-page full color comic about anything you want (with the exceptions listed below)
Let me know via note.
Disclaimer: I will NOT do scat, gore, vore, cub, 'taurs, hyper, ovi, preg, realistic rape, watersports or inhuman amounts of semen.
