I am going to try and apply for a dealer's room. it is a juried show and I do not have... well much merch on this continent so I am not sure they will be so keen on letting me in. I plan on slowly building a re-stock but seeing as this will be my first con in five years I am nervous to be creating much stock without a table already. I would just be so ecstatic to sell in a dealer's room again! It is a part of my life I really miss so much.

So I want everyone to know that I am in fact not dead. Back in July I moved from Texas to Sweden. It has been a long and crazy move. In fact I still do not have my computer here. As far as I know it is still sitting at a friend's house in Texas 😣

I have been doing a lot of traditional art and I have an for ton of things to upload when I do get my computer back. I even have been doing inktober this year! Whicheck has been a ton of work.

As far as regular life things I have been teaching art and English at an international school here so there have been a lot of laws and other things to get used to. Starting this week is the first break we have had for the last nine weeks.

This is going to be a tough year but I have already grown so much as a person, artist and especially a teacher. I can not wait to see who I am at the end of it.

When I get back in to the swing of spending time on the inthernet Ireally want to put some time and energy in to my two original species. The snake lions and my stupid raptor ghost chickens. And of course I really want to try and prepare for my first European fur con.

SO I decided today to start sending "art bombs" to people. its a touch time of year for me (laft few weeks of school being a teacher) So spreading cheer and in turn cheering myself up!

So i just realized that I am partially terrorized of being part of the furry community.

Few of you know, but I am an educator in a small Texas town. I am sure if some parents knew I was even part of Fur Affinity I could lose my job. My fiancé has even been accosted by his administration for backwards things. "I don't know if I can trust you, I don't even know what church you go to!" Was something he was told before.

I have these thoughts of winding up on a news story; "Local teacher draws fetish porn." Even when I refuse to draw anything more than a tasteful nude.

I have a lot of shame wrapped up in this too as well as frustration. I recently drew a picture of a curvy displaced beast I named "Burgazi" she was more "riskay" than anything I have posted before. That image was moved to and from my scraps so many times between bouts of shame and nerves.I look at the picture and.if anyone else had drawn it I would say "Right on!" But I see it and while I was so proud of the confidence at the time, part of me whispers that she is too unattractive, she is too raunchy, too ... whatever.

I have never liked being told that I can't do something, and I'm more cases than not that concept has made me fight to do something and be better for it. This is a real fear though. If something happened it would negate my degree as well as put financial and emotional stress on myself and my fiancé.

Man furry fiesta was amazing this year!  dracontiar had a table in the dealer's den this year, beside  royalty and  ryonokalo who are also good friends! So it was awesome to get to really hang out with people.

This year I produced some of the best art I think I have done in a very long long time. While I drew a crazy amount I'd toony and inkwell badges, I also had a chance to do the types of art I really enjoy and rarely get a chance to do. I also developed the technique, I hocking called "the ancient Chineese two marker technique", where to color a piece I literally held a brush tip marker in each hand. A couple people came over just to see what the heck I was doing lol.

I'm going to get back with Dracontiar today to sort of debrief the con. Honestly at this point I am not sure if I want to be in the dealer's den again this year or to switch to artist ally once more. I tales with a lot of people and several artists and it seemed there were people looking g for me in the artist ally and did not realize I was at the con at all. I enjoyed the security a lot though, and the hours. Also we went in to the ally Saturday night after sealer ' s den closed and took up some unused space and had a lot of fun.

So anyway, con was fun and awesome, I need to advertise better, and who k own what is in store for next year!!,

I would like to invite anyone who is a interested to an "art party" tonight at 5 pm central.

I have recently moved to a town where the only things to do is go hunting or join a church, two things I have very little interest in. I am roughly an hour from the nearest civilization so I have been getting rather stir crazy lately. I need some human interaction..... even if it's digital and long distance.

Normally I try to give out free art for my birthday but sadly I actually have a plate full of commissions I need to work on ;_;

So me and my roommate have a friend over and we look up and suddenly realize that both of our boyfriends who live with us are gone for the night/Tmw. So... impromptu sleepover!!!! But we are lacking a particular thing... pizza...

I am not an art student, I am not professionally trained in art except for two lower level art classes at my university, So I am not saying I am the best person to ask but I do know animal anatomy rather well and I love breaking it down. Would anyone out there be interested in custom Christmas ornaments? Needle felted of course. Probably around 2 inches tall, does not matter what you want it to be I can make it. Probably $25. I can do pets, people, cartoon characters, dragons, just about anything. If people are interested I will take them in orders of 3 at a time and other people can be put on wait lists. If it can be picked up from me in person no added cost but and extra $5 if I have to mail it.
