I lived through the whole crazy week and a half worth of birthday fun. I passed out around 10 last night, way before my normal bedtime in the middle of one of my favorite movies and had to be moved to bed. Lol
Anyway, I hope to get back on track this week. I have several important personal pieces to finish before the end of the month and one delayed commission I really need to do.

Tomorrow I turn 23! Ahhh I'm having such a good week! First we saw the Suicidegirls Blackheart Burlesque with our roomie for both our birthdays and saw some really hot ladies, then Brian and I went to see Motionless in White VIP in OKC and had a kick ass time. Tonight we are having friends over to paint a Bib Ross painting and have some food, and on Sunday we are having brunch with my family and I will be finishing a bunch of personal art!!!

Im working at mcdonalds 5 am to 2 pm mostly sleeping from 4pm to 3 am. So art will be a little delayed, also i currently have tonsilitis on top of a cold, so i might actually drown in mucus or suffocate with my own tonsils. >.> i'm gonna try to get caught up as soon as i can breathe again.

In order to get the hell out of my mom's house ASAP I've gotten myself a job at McDonalds... and Brian might get a second job with me there just to try and earn a lot fast.

More like mommy woes. My mom- for perspective we live at her place right now because we had to emergency evacuate Texas- bursts into our room this morning and pretty much says we have a week to start earning more money or we need to have a new place to live within the month. Brian is fishing for hours at work and coming up dry and I've applied everywhere I can- even McDonald's- and no one has so much as called me for an interview or contacted my references.

WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO? FORCE SOMEONE TO HIRE ME? HOLD A GUN TO THEIR HEAD AND SAY GIVE ME A JOB?

I'm sorry for putting my personal shit all over the place here, but I really needed to vent and I'm pretty much in panic mode trying to think of anywhere in the area I haven't applied that I could put in for that might hire me within seven days. I have no idea what to do- and I know she's only mad because my dad's check was super short- so I'm basically sitting here worrying about my owed art and my livelihood and how I'm going to make money in the interim.

Due to some really regrettable circumstances and some personal garbage it looks like I'm moving and it currently seems like it's going to be back to Kansas. Right now we're preparing for eviction and our roommate is looking more and more unstable. It's going to be really really hard to go through this, but I'm trying to stay sane. I really need some commissions for a spare dollar or two. Honestly I'd be willing to start taking PWYW commissions and doing freebs or requests just to try and get a little attention on this account.

I'm really stressed out and feel really awkward, but if you're used to seeing me around and the next three or four days I'm not around then this is probably why. I'll try and keep y'all updated.

So apparently our rent bounced and even though we HAVE the money for the rent and it was a misunderstanding with the bank the complex is going to charge us like $300 extra dollars. We were supposed to renew our lease today and now we can't. I'm really freaking out because that means myself, my wife, our roommate, and all 13 of our animals could be homeless within the week if we can't come up with the money. I'm trying really hard to think of good ways to make a little money. Would anyone who follows me be interested in really really cheap colored doodle commissions!?!?!? Does anyone but my wife read these?

So we dug up Ick's old broken laptop and with a little dicking around managed to fix it enough that I can use my tablet and at least Manga Studio with it so now I can actually make digital art. This comes as a huge relief after everything that has been happening these past few weeks. What with my car breaking down, my laptop blowing a hard drive, the military informing my girlfriend she would be deployed immediately if war breaks out, my brother having emergency surgery and a whole lot of all around health problems in the house this is the first break I've caught. So to celebrate I'm going to start working on a bunch of new digital stuff!

A brief update personal situation-wise first. Last night we used our external hard drive to empty everything off of our one working laptop. It was super good timing, because afterwards when I started the factory reset it blew the hard drive and we now have to replace it. So now in addition to my car the laptop has given up too. To be honest I'm kind of at my wit's end. I've got info up about my basic commissions, but with no laptop to start using my tablet with all my commissions for a while are going to have to be traditional... Seems like not a lot of people want that. I'm going to start taking commissions for perler bead pieces as well though.

Sorry for dropping this here, but I figured it was relevant. Expect a gallery update to include a new temporary commission offer sheet and my most recent perler pieces as examples.

So, here I am another legal year older and I have fallen right into the pits of adulthood. My car broke down, my license is expired, and with no working car I cannot begin to rectify that, and best of all we're about $300 in debt already. I updated my commission info and I'm doing my best to finish and post more examples of work, but honestly I'm not even sure that with a steady stream of commissions that I'll be able to put off going back to work.

Sorry to dump all this on here, I just figured an accurate representation of my situation was needed.

So I have to go to the DMV and renew my liscense so I can go out and have fun all the time from now on. I'm hopefully going to post at least two new things before tomorrow but after that I'm not 100% for this weekend. Sunday Ick and I are going to see Fall Out Boy, so woo!

Anyway, I just wanted to give an update to the few of you that follow me and anyone who actually visits my page. I'm updating my commission info slowly over the course of this week, so another journal and some actual listings under my commission tag will be in order. I'm working on one personal piece and three gifts right now, so I'm a little on the busy side but I always have time to entertain ideas or talk to you guys. My birthday is the 17th and I'm pretty excited on that front. It's been a while since I haven't had to suffer through one of my mom's "parties" this time of year.
