My mom says I can't take Ren to Chicago with me on my school trip next month :CCC

So basucally the original idea was for the characters to be furries, but I haven't decided if they should be or not

The general plot of it is a young guy named Vega lives alone in a small town, and is only ever awake at night. He never leaves his house unless he has to, and is really unhappy with his life. He feels trapped. Another man, an english teacher named Carter, moves in to the apartment complex nearby. He came to this town after finally finding a new job after his wife leaving him and taking their only child and everything he owned. After hearing rumors of the "creepy house" down the street he goes to investigate, meeting Vega. They form an inseperable bond and end up giving each other meaning again. As summer arrives they go on a grand adventure across the US and discover that they couldn't imagine their lives without eachother.

It probably sounds really stupid but I think its pretty good so whatever lol

So the question is, furries or people?? And I already know Vega would be a fox but I have no idea what Carter would be. Help? (Also ignore my grammar I just woke up)
