Healing up!
Posted 3 months agoIts been a little over 4 months since the accident in January, and I am doing pretty good. I can walk now, albeit with a limp! I'm getting physical therapy too. I still have quite a bit of swelling on my foot and managing it can be tough.
I'm someone who needs to be pretty active and doing things and sitting around babying my leg isn't something I enjoy. I've always got something going on and I think the activity helps me heal/walk better.
My physical therapist says really that my range of motion/tendons/etc are really good, I just need to build back ankle and leg strength... so I am working on that as I can. Its really a matter of endurance... there's only so much pain you can put up with before you just get really tired of it
I have new empathy for the disabled for sure though. So many things become challenging. Like I said though, the good news is that my healing is ahead of schedule. I see the surgeon/doctor next month to make sure all my bones are growing back the way they should.
Stay safe out there!

Snappo
Posted 7 months agoSo.... I broke my leg.
I was riding a motorcycle and going pretty slowly, about 30-40mph, and through a variety of missteps including low tire pressure, too many distractions, etc, I drifted off the road and hit the guard rail, which snapped my lower leg.
I got help right away! And had surgery right after to fix the bones and put it in place. They put a metal rod straight through my leg!
Recovery from surgery was a total PITA let me tell you, it wasn't pleasant how you try to recover.
Anyway Its been about a month now and I feel great, but I still can't walk. It will be another month before I can get started on that.
Remember to be safe out there!

Looking toward 2025
Posted 9 months agoOk. I really should stop updating this thing like once every few years! That "Happy New Year" from 2022 was staring at me in the face, considering its 2025.
I'm hoping to have continued good times in the coming year, but I fear it will have some difficulties for me with family health issues and fear surrounding medical costs and administrative junk. Luckily I personally have been in decent health.
I would really like to travel to Japan this year. Another option would be London, I'd like to see all the museums and other cultural stuff.

2022
Posted 3 years agoHappy New Year; and I wish you the happiest and brightest of futures!
That should have some meaning coming from a time dragon xD
Its hard to believe that its 2022. This was the far off future back in the day. I suppose I'll say the same thing in 2042!
Since its been forever since the last update; just know that the lair is still comfortable and everything is going about as well as can be accepted in a strange pandemic year. I am REALLY hoping this pandemic nonsense can be done with so we can go back to normalcy! I will say though that the whole work from home revolution really got a kick in the pants, and maybe that is something that finally needed to happen.
I miss some of my old friends that I don't see much anymore. I miss some of my family members that are no longer with us. But I am also positive about keeping and making new friends, and seeing all things evolve further!
Much love and respect,
Apo

wow, a new journal
Posted 12 years agoSo hey -- new house, new opportunities for decor and sofas and all sorts of junk!
Just been keeping busy with work, pets, life. I know I must be the most exciting person EVAHR.

Posted 15 years agoThought I'd write something in here today.
Been having some fabulous RP at the temple lately, but I think its going to start slowing down. One of the arcs just ended rather quickly and I think its going to leave people a bit lost. It probably should have been drawn out more.
Had some emo times this week, but nothing serious. Just riduclous petty things.
Also, feel free to follow my twitter feed, ApocryphaZero.
