Along with the pain of losing a loved one she is also trying pay for the funeral and medical bills that are left behind. Through her community, $375 has been raised of the $7,500 goal. Money from Family and friends has raised roughly $1,650.

Hekapoo and I working away on these guys have decided that we would like to donate the profits to charities we are both picked out. While Hooter Bears are an open species, 'Officials' released by either of us brought will have their funds put in a paypals pool to be used with either the RSPCA, or Backpack Bed for Homeless, rather than going to our paypals directly.
The RSPCA goals are currently undecided.
The BBH goals are at $95 to donate a Backpack Bed, and repeat when each goal is hit.

Life might be picking up
Posted 9 years agoIt's weird for me to update about something nice, I know haha.
But yeah. I think everyone that regularly checks out my account knows I'm unemployed and have been struggling with that bullshit for a bit. I'vefinally gotten a plus side about my whole situation-
I had a job interview Monday with a job agency for Hospitality work. Me being me (and pretty convinced I didn't have a chance in hell of being employeed) decided to just be me instead of saving face. Handing my information sheet and resume to the reception I joked 'I would have added that I could bring Dry Wit and copious pictures of my Dog' to the job, but decided against it.'
The guy talking to her laughed and said I should have, and we spent a few minutes just chilling out and joking before I sat back down waiting for my name to be called. About a minute later the guy wonders back in and states he's the one interviewing me.
Long story short, apparently I made a pretty good impression because the job I was going for is cafe and bar-work. I got booked into Hospitality Training on the next day and told to call him as soon as I got my RSA from it because 'I really want you to get this job'.
I know this sounds pretty standard, but please be me, dealing with a few years of being told my personality is terrible and that I'm too sociable for my own good. Then to have an opportunity pop up where my chatty nature was enough to convince him that I was worth getting up-skilled so I could join the industry.
I nearly started crying. A little insignificant viewpoint and a few passing comments from a potential employer just cut straight through the depression I've been feeling for months.
I had my first class yesterday. Even though I came home late my other said I came back in a happier mood than she's seen me in for months. I enjoyed the people I met, I like all of my classmates. Compared to last time, I didn't feel like the black sheep. There were others with my sense of humour. We all joked and laughed about having to carry three plates with frozen lemons and limes and fucking ORANGES on them.
I learned to make a Cosmopolitan, and worked in a group that disregarded being told to 'clean up after yourself' and instead organized ourselves in various tasks to help each other and get things done faster, impressing the woman instructing us.
I'm actually looking forward to class next week. This is fucking incredible to me after my last training stint and working environment I've been in.
Ah I'm just rambling now, but I'm hoping everyone can understand that I'm both happy and busy since I've been given a chance at something again. It's going to be a few weeks before I get my RSA, but I don't mind - I'm enjoying myself for once, and I'm getting out. The only downside to this is I have to do beer tasting and I hate beer; things might be picking up finally if that's the worst thing ahead of me!
If things are picking up and I get a job, I can finally fix all these fucking things. I can get my phone bill paid off, get my phone fixed, stop struggling to get my prescriptions and travel, get my teeth finally fixed so I don't look like a Wendigo when I smile. I can finally stop being antisocial and put money away for my Forensic courses. I might even be able to travel to my friend's wedding.
Please, please let this be real.

Driving me mad...

I'm getting really close to just throwing my mouse against a wall. Even with fresh batteries it's spluttering back and forth into life- if I'm lucky I can put some lines or colour down, but most other times I seem to have to click two or three times and home it actually works xAx
Was annoying during lining processes, but absolutely hair pulling with shading! I can only really suck it up, but I wanted to complain about it cause it's really nibbling at me XD;
My keyboard seems to be working fine so it's just the mouse itself. Ahhh...

Okay, I'm pretty sure I know what's up. the hatch for the battery has loose ends, so it mustn't always be in contact with the batteries ends to finish the electrical circuit or however it works... I'm clueless on it, but I know when I shake my mouse or am replacing the battery after a very small time of use, the battery is always loose in place. I might bug my boy to see if there's a way of tightening things...

Posted 10 years agoNo stream tonight due to rain! Uhh no, No stream due to shitty internet connection. I really hate my service provider, this has been going on for about two months now. Had a good past couple of days. Ugh.
So no stream tonight and potentially not for the next few days. While I'll still be working on commissions, I may be heading away for the weekend to de-stress. BUT that might not happen so we'll just see how everything works out~
I'm also discontinuing the $1 Chibis. With my turnover time, they're getting in the way of larger commissions and they take a lot longer than they should. Along with that I seem to be getting orders for them outside of the stream instead of in the stream so baaaah
When I learn a few skills to make the process faster I might reinstate them but for the time being they're going to be nulled (With the exception of the ones currently on order).

Alternatively is it common for people to have two variations of their fursona?
As much as I love my Puffinsona I'm not sure how well the species itself represents myself.
The alternative is a large leap from that - I'm thinking about changing her to a sheep. Boreray Sheep, specifically.
Just wondering how everyone else really goes about with their sonas... Do you pick an animal you really like or concentrate on personal representation?

Posted 11 years agoI want to first off apologise to my commissioners for being gone.
Following the DDOS attack on FA A few things popped up for me to deal with, the most surprisingly time consuming trying to help damage control with a site I mod - it's a sim site and we had to restart 10 days. Unfortunately a lot of users -flipped their shit- and a boatload of glitches followed suite. That's where most of my online time has been.
IRL is more of a mess.
I'm also trying to help my friend gather evidence for a potential class action. It's not something we want to resort to but if the medical board doesn't step in, we're going up have to move before someone gets seriously hurt. I'm taking down contacts of old employees and trying to get statements. It's hard figuring this all out without panicking current clients and risking my friends livelihood.
And lastly my supplies. I lost my sketchbook during a cleaning spree, and found it just today. Yay! Bad news is I've lost more of my supplies while helping my boyfriend move. Rather than travel to either house by hour long public transport I'm going to be repurchasing my brushes, gel pens and fine liners, since is have to stock up again anyway.
Thank you everyone for being patient and I'm sorry about delays - I know I haven't had a chance to respond to some notes, I'll be doing that later today hopefully as I have company and I'm currently on my phone. As you can tell I've kinda got a bit on my plate, and that's without the need of a drivers licences and hopeful job training mentioned.
