Compulsive Sheep Dogs Need a 'Job' to Entertain Them

Fursona Appreciation Meme...

Posted 15 years agoI had a great time at the Fur-H Herding Trial at Midwest Furfest this last weekend. Lots of 
DizFoley time and running around with a few of the other borders and collies who were there too. I had an hour to bounce around the con spaces with Chase (
SkuffCoyote) and then Minstrel showed up from out of nowhere and surprised me; I had no idea he was even gunna be at MFF. I was such a happy lil collie right then!
So then the three of us played ball until we got scolded by Con Security. We tried to play ball more outside, but we got scolded again for playing ball outside by security. :( We got a few pictures together which I'm hoping to find.
Marched in the parade with Dizzy and I hope to find some good pics of he an' I together too. Anyway, I had lots of border collie fun and got to do a lot of rave dancin'. I also got a new badge for the dances that was done using black light sensitive markers. I even made a new friend, Shark Collie,
FalsePretense. She's sucha cutie. *giggles*
Now begins the job of herding all the pictures folks took of me and my friends while I was at the con. Phew! I had a great time! Thanks to all my friends for making it that much more special. Now I'm glad for the slow, simple days watching over my little flock of sheepies.

"Mist: The tale of a border collie puppy"
Posted 15 years agoOMG so cute!! An' so like me! *giggles*
Girl borrowed the movie "Mist: Tale of a Border Collie Puppy" from someone named Ned Fliks and on Saturday night she gathered me up beside her and we watched a live action movie about a little border collie puppy named Mist.
It's produced for young dogs like me, but she laughed a lot at the silliness too. Before too long, every time the narrator would say Mist's name, Girl would interject "April" and give my tummy or head a warm, loving scritch.
It was a nice movie, full of Border fun and lotsa sheepies. Oh yeah...and a few meanie rams too. :-P

Collie Photoshoot at Anthrocon!
Posted 15 years agoRuff, smooth, border, bearded...heck we'll even allow Shetland sheepdogs to join us for a Collie Photoshoot! You don't need to have a fursuit to join us. You just need to have a collie fursona.
A couple of us will be working the con during the parade and others with multiple suits may not be wearing their collie during the parade...shame on them!...It has been suggested that we couple it with another fursuiting event during the weekend.
Revising my first idea, I'd like to invite you all to join me for the,
Collie Photo Shoot!
Friday, June 25th @ 9:30pm
Outside the Pennsylvania Room in the Westin Hotel.
This is just before Friday's Fursuit Friendly Dance.
Current Collies Collaborating:
Emerson, Dizzy, Keet, Kellogg, Melody, Paws_Wolfymutt, Maxwell, Oreo, Filut (Kimbyfox), Jirashi (Conner), Silverwing Sheltie, Cash & Me.
At AC but not able to make it:
Takaza (he's still stuck working at 9:30 grumbles). Must apply more peer pressure.

I was gonna give a review on this movie since I finally see'd it with Girl the other day, but now the sheepies want to also get in their opinions too.
So...<WARNING SPOILERS!!!>
The movie is about a clumsy viking boy who learns how to make friends with dragons while he's in school to learn how to kill them. When they find out he's been cheating, he runs away with his dragon friends and finds out that the dragons are being picked on by a big dragon at the dragon island place. Well the vikings follow them to the dragon island place, there's a big battle and THEY ALL DIE!! Well everyone 'cept the boy and his dragon friend. They live but are HORRIBLY DISFIGURED! Afterward the sheepies get a new sheepdog friend to protect them, feed on dragon flesh and live happily ever after. THE END.
I give it 2 paws up cuz it had sheepies in it and they was cute, but the sheepies got eated by the dragons and there weren't no sheepie dogs there, which could have saved them and the movie could have ended.
The sheepies give it 4 hooves down cuz the sheepies in it were being eated by the dragons and they thought that was sheepie abuse. I really can't say I blame them neither.
(That's not really how the movie ended, but the sheepies an' I agree that would has been a better ending. *wag, wags*)
I hope to review other movies as time goes along an' I get to see 'em.

So long name month...

I miss my name month already. Just saying the date out loud made me feel all bouncy happy.
FCN was during my name month and that was a wonderful time. I got to see my BFF Dizzy and we got to pal around a little bit. Not as much as MFF last year, but still it was very nice to see him. It was nice to meet Oreo and Threvin too. I'd be remiss if I didn't say it was a joy to see Kellogg, Keet and Takaza too. :)
But all that is behind me now and I have to wait a year for my name month to come again.

Special Needs: Needs plenty of excercise and a job to do.

No Kids?: *sad face* I'm really good with kids.
No Cats?: I like cats...especially with ketchup.
No Dogs?: I like dogs too!

I'm very energetic and need plenty of walks and excercise during the day. I'm happiest when I have a job to do otherwise I can get bored and destructive.

I'm sweet, loving and playful. My fur is very soft and fluffy. I give big wet kisses and warm nuzzles. I keep them warm at night. I'm a great herding dog. I'm very loyal.
