Posted 14 years agoSo uh... Yeah, I gotta get my tonsils out on the 28th. I'm SO nervous, even tho I know I shouldn't be really. I guess it's because I'm older to get them out (I'm 20) and when my dad had his out at my age, he bled a LOT and was readmitted to the hospital a couple times because of complications. I know it probably won't happen to me... But still. I worry, y'know?
Anyways, so expect me to be around a LOT for more around 3 weeks after that date simply because I won't have anything else to do, really.
Wish me luck? (And maybe bring me jello? :D)

Posted 14 years agoso I rescued a dog today, returned it to it's worried family after nearly 2 weeks of being out... I guess I could say this cheered me up a fair bit, given how down I've been over a few things and maybe I'd get some good karma. stupid assumption of course, given how things have been going with me... I had a long put off talk with someone in my life and... I lost something I still can't admit that I ever had.

Basically, this means I'm short some cash I was hoping to have, but I have a LOT of free time!

Depending on your character's complexity, a partial (Consisting of a head [follow me eyes and a moving jaw are both optional], hands, arms, feet and tail) that is UNLINED (Meaning the inside of the parts is the raw backing) for 500$-600$.

While it was a little... Confusing at first, because we had accidently planned the meet the same day as a walk-a-thon for a doggy shelter! XD It turned out fine either way~
SO many kids! A lot of parents had me pose with their kids, and I managed to scare 2 or 3 of them, but not bad! One lil' kid was SUPER cute, as seen here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6002831 !
All in all, it was nice~

Back problems
Posted 14 years agoSo, normally I wouldn't update my journal so soon after posting one, but... Yeah.
The past 3 weeks or so, I've been experiencing a lot of lower back pain. Being a girl, I assumed it was simply PMS despite it being weird because 1, my time of the month is inconsistent and fairly fucked up, and 2, back pain has never been a symptom for me.
I ignored it.
Cut to last week, when the pain is slowly spreading up my back. It hurts a LOT whenever I change position, so as long as I sit/stand still, I'm fine. This is not a solution since I can't just not move ever again, so I finally swallowed my nerves, and booked an appointment.
That was today.
The pain starts just above the curve of my butt, and goes up around 2/3rds of the way up my back.
My doctor checked my posture, which is "off centered" and apparently it's obvious I'm right handed.
She felt over my back, first lightly then dug her hands in, and while there was pressure, there was no pain.
It only hurts when I move.
She seemed a bit confused and said that it means it's either not only muscle related, or it's not muscle related at all.
I got prescribed new painkillers, and I'm in the midst of the chaos of booking with a physiotherapist.
I'm a bit... Afraid of what might happen. I know have bad posture (Slumped shoulders, very prominent curve in my lower back, hunched over slightly) but it's never caused me any harm until now.
I'm also a bit mad that I'll be missing classes over it (Unless I can book on my days off/afternoons off, but most places I've called so far close fairly early). I'm in an intersession term right now, meaning... 6 weeks, 4 classes. It's kiiinda hard, not because of what the actual work it is, but the sheer volume.
Anyways.

Posted 14 years agoSo... As the title says, my spring break is over as of tomorrow. D: I'm not going right back into classes on Monday tho, I'm gonna be working for the federal elections! * 3* I'm kinda excited, but nervous because I'm gonna be doing filing and registering people to vote and... homan. Also, it's gonna be my first time voting! :3 I need to do a bit of research about the parties (Leaving it to last minute much? 8D;;; ) before I go and do that tomorrow morning~
Uhm... What else...
Well, with classes I'm taking 4 this term and the term itself is only 6 weeks... 3 weeks in we have midterms, then 3 weeks later finals! OHGOD. I dunno how active I will or won't be, but I guess this is a fair warning? X3;;; At least it's something to keep me distracted.
And... I'm single now. It kinda hurt at first, and I randomly get all sad again, but like I said, school will keep me distracted/busy. <3

Posted 14 years agoSo ugh, as you guys miiighta noticed, I've been suffering from art block in the WORST WAY.
Like, I uploaded one piece on April 6th, and before that my last drawing was from February 24th!! It actually makes me really mad and just generally... Disappointed with myself that I can't get through this. :C
That being said, I am working on a new piece and hopefully a new coloring style, maaaybe. I keep wanting to move forward with my art, but I have no real drive to do so.
Even roleplaying, something I used to LOVE, I can't be bothered to do it! D: I have character ideas and everything, and basic plots but other then that... Nothing. >_< I can't even draw the freaking characters in my head! D8
But aside from that, I guess things are going... Okay? I mean, things are going decently with the boyfriend and most of my friends, and I'm on spring break now from school!

My boyfriend introduced me to Half Life, and we actually played through (Well, he played while I made snacks and watched XD) Half Life 2 over the course of a couple weeks. I LOVE the game, and Alyx as a character, so I think it fits! :3 My friend James actually suggested it, and when I mentioned it to Alex (My boyfriend), he said I should! I thought about it, and while her outfit isn't overly complicated, I think it'd fairly recognizable~
Anyways! I'm hoping to go shopping this weekend to get the clothes I need! Wish me luck for getting it done in time. 8D;;;

Posted 15 years agoSo, I start classes in all of... 9 and a half hours. XD; I'm kinda looking forward to it, but at the same time... Not so much. I dunno, I have mixed feelings about it. I mean I can obviously handle the work load (My marks got adjusted as well, so now my lowest is an 80%, and my highest a 95%) it's just the interpersonal things that are gonna mess me up. Simply because I don't do well with drama and conflict, and when I stress out I tend to... Shut down? I just sort of implode and whatnot. Hopefully this term will be less stressful, tho I doubt it.
I guess it's good I'm only taking 5 courses? I'm taking...

Really, I'm dreading Page Layout 2 simply because Page Layout 1 was TERRIBLE. It was so boring. D: Luckily, one of my favorite instructors teaches it so that makes it a lil' more bearable.
Uhm... Ooh! Healthwise I'm practically normal! :D *knocks on wood* I haven't had a bad flu in MONTHS now, it's heavenly~ I still get blood tests every month tho, just to make sure I'm doin' okay but so far so good! I do have to get an abdominal ultrasound scan done Tuesday morning, but I'm praying that it goes well... /nervous
Artwise! I'm FINALLY breaking away from an anime style, and hopefully I'll be steering towards something a lil' more Western as time goes on. I also FINALLY have my webcomic posted online! It's actually only the XMas picture I have posted here, so until I post more, I'm not gonna be linking you guys. XD

Oh! My laptop, Demyx, is slowly but surely kicking the bucket. His fan's on the wy out, so I'm aiming to buy a new one around August this year. Fingers crossed that I get a part time job soon, so I can start saving sooner... Ideally I'd like to get a 15" MacBook Pro, with the... i7 processor. That laptop is... 2,300$, not with taxes included. XD;;; I'd get my mom to use her teacher rebate on it, so hopefully it'd knock the price back to around 2,000$.
What else... Oooh! I got my drivers permit over the holidays! :D My kinda boyfriend drove me out there twice in 2 days since I failed the first time, but I got it the second time~ Mind you... I have yet to drive so y'know. XD; It still counts tho! My parents have been talking about getting me a car for when I do get my actual license in like, 9 months or whenever I get around to it. I'm leaning towards a Ford Fiesta S Sedan. It's like 16,000$, but it gets decent city mileage and such. :) We'll see!
Anyways, I think that's all for now really. XD
